PRECAUTIONS
•
This
unit
is
designed
to
be
operated
on
a
12-volt
DC
negative-ground
electrical
system
only.
•To
prevent
short-circuiting,
disconnect
the
negative
car
battery
terminal
until
the
unit
has
been
mounted
and
connected
completely.
•When
replacing
the
fuse,
be
sure
to
use
one
whose
amperage
rating
is
identical.
Use
of
a
fuse
of
higher
amperage
may
cause
serious
damage
to
the
unit.
•
Do
NOT
attempt
to
disassemble
this
unit.
Laser
rays
from
the
optical
pickup
are
dangerous
to
the
eyes.
•
Make
sure
that
pins
or
other
foreign
objects
do
not
get
inside
the
unit;
they
may
cause
malfunctioning,
or
a
safety
hazard
such
as
electrical
shock
or
exposure
of
laser
rays.
•When
your
car
was
parked
in
direct
sunlight
resulting
in
a
considerable
rise
in
temperature
inside
the
car,
allow
the
unit
to
cool
off
before
operating
it.
•Keep

volume
at

a
level

can
hear
outside
warning
sounds
(horns,
sirens,
etc.).

defective

soiled
disc
inserted
into
the
unit
can
cause
sound
to
drop
out
during
playback.

Handle

disc
by
holding
its
inner

outer

DETACHING

You
can
detach
the
front
panel
from
the
unit
and
carry
it
with
you
when
you
leave
your
car
unattended.
When
you
carry
the
front
panel
out
of
your
car,
use
the
supplied
carrying
case.
Before
detaching
the
front
panel,
remove
the
disc
to
prevent
possible
damage
to
the
unit.

to
turn
the
unit
off.

While
supporting
the
front
panel
with
one
hand,
press
fi
to
release
one
side
of
the
panel.
Care
must
be
taken
not
to
drop
the
panel.
It
may
suddenly
eject
at
this
point.

When
the
front
panel
is
lifted
from
the
unit,
remove
it
by
pulling
away
from
the
unit.
Attaching
the
front
panel
When
the
front
panel
is
detached,
you
can
find
an
LED
lamp
on
the
front
side
of
the
unit.
This
lamp
is
designed
to
deter
theft,
and
continues
to
flash
when
the
front
panel
is
detached.
This
unit
is
not
equipped
with
any
other
security
systems
such
as
a
security
alarm,
so
there
are
limitations
to
its
effectiveness.
Do
NOT
touch
the
connector
on
the
reverse
side
of
the
front
panel,
as
doing
so
may
contaminate
the
connector
and
cause
a
poor
connection
resulting
in
a
malfunction.

Active
tuning
reception
control
(ATRC)
This
unit
automatically
suppresses
FM
noise
caused
by
varying
signal
strength
resulting
from
movement
of
the
car.
•
The
built-in
automatic
blending
circuit
mixes
the
left
and
right
channel
signals
according
to
the
strength
of
the
reception.
At
the
same
time,
the
high-cut
circuit
activates
to
maintain
the
sound
quality.
•
If
the
reception
becomes
even
weaker,
the
unit
automatically
switches
to
Monaural
mode
to
reduce
noise.

Reset

The
Reset
button

Try

this

if
a
CD
does
not
operate
properly.
When
you
press
this
button,
use
the
tip
of
a
pointed
object
such
as
a
pencil
or
toothpick.
Note
that
the
memory
contents,
however,
will
be
erased
by
pressing
this
button.

Cleaning
the
front
panel
When
the
front
panel

soiled,
wipe

surface
of
the
panel
with
a
dry
and
soft
cloth.
Cleaning
the
connector
The

on
the

occasionally.
Wipe
the

the

a
cotton
swab

moistened

Notas
sobre
las
discos
compactos
•Si
oolooa
un
disco
defectuoso
o
suclo
en
el
aparato,
el
sonido
puede
desaparecer
en
el
medio
de
la
reproduccion.
•Sujete
el
disco
siempre
por
su
borde
y
por
el
agujero
central.
•
NO
toque
la
superficie
del
lado
sin
etiqueta
del
•
NO
pegue
papel
o
cinta,
etc.
en
la
superficie.
•
NO
exponga
el
disco
a
los
rayos
del
sol
o
a
una
fuente
de
calor
fuerte.
•
Limpie
el
disco
antes
de
reproducirlo.
Limpie
el
disco
empezando
por
el
centra
y
hacia
afuera,
con
un
pano
de
limpieza.
•NO
utilice
disolventes
tales
como
bencina
o
alcohol
para
limpiar
el
disco.
•
NO
es
posible
reproducir
los
discos
compactos
pequenosde

pulgadas
(8
cm)
en
este
aparato.
Y
no
utilice
adaptadores
porque
puede
provocar
una
averia
en
el
aparato.
•
NO
utilice
discos
compactos
de
formas
irregulares
(por
ejemplo
con
forma
de
corazon
u
octogonales).

Se
puede
desmontar
el
panel
delantero
de
aparato
y
llevarlo
consigo
cuando
se
deja
el
coche
estacionado
sin
vigilancia.
Para
llevarse
et
panel
delantero
utilice
la
caja
de
transporte
provista.
Antes
de
desmontar
el
panel
delantero,
saque
el
disco
compacto
para
evitar
que
pueda
danarse
el
aparato.

PWR
para
desconectar
el
aparato.

Mientras
sujeta
el
panel
delantero
con
una
mano,
presione
£
para
soltar
un
lado
del
panel.
Debe
tenerse
cuidado
de
no
dejar
caer
el
panel.
Puede
salir
como
por
un
resorte
en
este
momenta.

Cuando
desmonte
el
panel
delantero
del
aparato,
hagalo
tirando
del
mismo
para
sacarlo
del
aparato.
NO
toque
el
conector
en
el
lado
de
atras
del
panel
delantero
ya
que
puede
ensuciar
el
conector
y
provocar
un
mal
contacto
que
puede
ser
la
causa
de
una
averia
posterior.
Instalacion
del
panel
delantero
una
luz
LED
en
el
lado
delantero
del
aparato.
Esta
luz
fue
disenada
para
evitar
el
robo
y
permanece
destellando
con
el
panel
delantero
desmontado.
Este
aparato
no
tiene
otro
sistema
de
seguridad,
por
ejemplo
una
alarms
y
el
dispositivo
antirrobo
no
es
completamente
efectivo.
