Introduction
This DVB-T TV Receiver is a Free-To-Air digital terrestrialreceiver,
allowing you toaccess free-to-air digitalterrestrial TV channels
and radio broadcastson your TV set. Itsdigital reception covers
VHF & UHFband. Compared withthe analog TV programs, digital
TV programs eliminate the noiseand interference butoffer high
quality video andaudio. Anon-screen initial installationguide is
provided so thatyou can easilystart to enjoywatching the
programs. In addition,a fully featuredremote controller is
included that offers you accessto every featurewith a simple
press of abutton.

Remote Key Function:
1. INFO Used to display informationabout the channel being
viewed or further informationabout the program whenin
small EPG screen.
2. PAUSE Used to pause orplayback the program being
viewed .
3. EPG Used to display information about the program being
viewed and what's onnext.
4. EXIT Used to return tothe previous screen ormenu.
5. OK Used to confirm aselection within a menu.
6. VOL+ Used to move aroundthe menu screens or changing
the volume in non-menustate.
7. FAVORITE Used to access your favourite channels.
8. GAME: Used to select 4 built-in mini games:Mine, Tetris,
Gomoku, Calendar.
9. RECALL Used to switch between the last two viewed
channels.
10. SUBTITLE: Used to switch betweendifferent subtitles that
are broadcasted
11. TEXT: Used to open teletextOSD display if teletext available
in the broadcasted stream.
12. STANDBY Used to switch the set top box to on and off.
13. MUTE Used to turn the sound on or off.
14. MENU Used to open themain menu window.
15. CH+ Used to move around the menu screens or selecting
the channels in non-menustate.
16. VOL- Used to move around the menu screens or changing
the volume in non-menustate.
17. CH- Used to move around the menu screens or selecting
the channels in non-menustate.
18. NUMBER KEYS Used to select channelnumbers or input
numbers in menus.
19. AUDIO Used to set thesound output, the available
settings are STEREO, LEFT, RIGHT,MONO.
20. TV/RADIO Used to switch betweenTV channels and
Radio stations.
21. COLOR KEYS(RED/GREEN/YELLOW/BLUE):Used to
operate different functions inTEXT screen orother menus.
Note: SUBTITLE/TEXT/LANGUAGE may not be available
for all channels

Installing the Batteries
Remove the battery cover from the remote control and put 2XAAA size batteries
inside the compartment.
The diagram inside the battery compartment shows the correct way to install the
batteries.

Using the RemoteControl
Touse the remote control, point it towards the front of the digital set top box
The remote controlhas a range of up to 7 metres from the set top box at anangle
of up to60 degrees.
The remote control will not operate if its path is blocked.
Sunlight or very bright light will decrease the sensitivity of the remote
control.

Note: When connecting thereceiver to other equipment, e.g., TV,
VCR and amplifier, make sureto refer torelevant user manual for
instruction. Also,make sure you disconnect all theequipments from
the mains supplybefore the connection.

After allthe connections havebeen made properly, switch on your
TV.Make sure thereceiver is connectedto the mainsand insert the
adapter to thereceiver.If youare using thereceiver for
the first time,a First Time Installation menu will be displayed to
guide you throughthe initial setup.Use the remotecontroller to
finish the setup.
1. At the First time installation menu, select YES and press OK
on the remotecontroller to proceed.
2. Enter yourregional settings, include your Region, OSD
Language, TimeZone and Antenna Power.Then select
NEXT to proceed.
Note: Make sure toselect the region you are locatedsince the receiver
will scan thechannels based on the bandwidth ofthe region you selected.
If your regionis not on the list, youare recommended to conduct a manual
search. Refer to Manual Search on page 16 for details.

4. Wait to complete the scanning.
In case youwant to stopthe scanning, pressthe EXIT key.
The channels already found willstill be stored.
5. When finished,all active channelsfound will bestored
automatically. The last found channel willbe played.
Now you areready to watchdigital terrestrial TV channels andradio
broadcasts.
In case youskip the First Time Installation screen, you can still
specify your Regional Setting and Program Search via the on-
screen setup menu.
The Regional Setting menu can be accessed via Main Menu >
System Settings > Regional Setting. Refer to Regional Setting
on page 20for details.
The Program Search menu can be accessed via Main Menu >
Program Search > Automatic Search / Manual Search. Refer to
Automatic Search on page 15for details.
3. Select Yes to start the automatic channel search.

Basic Operations
Once program search iscompleted, you can start to watchdigital
terrestrial TV channels and radiobroadcasts. Some typical
operations are givenin this chapter.
Switching On andOff
Whenever you arenot using the receiver, press the Standby key on
remote control.
Changing Channels
Toswitch between different channels, you can:
Press OK to display the channel list and UP/DOWN to select
a desired channel.
Use the numerickeys to selecta channel number.
Use the RECALL key to return to the previous viewed channel.
Whenever you changea channel, abanner appears atthe bottom
of the screendisplaying the basicinformation on thecurrent
channel.
Adjusting the Volume
Press the VOL+ / VOL- key to adjust the volume.

Watching Favorite List
You can press FAVORITE to watch your preset favorite channels.
Tocreate your favoritelist, go toMain Menu > Program List.
Refer to Creating Favorite ChannelGroups on page 13for
detailed information.
Displaying information
Todisplay the detailedinformation of thecurrent channel, press
the INFO key.
Choosing Subtitle
You can press the SUBTITLE key to select or close subtitleson
the screen. The available subtitlesdepend on thebroadcaster.
Freezing
When watching achannel, you canfreeze the currentscreen by
pressing the PAUSE key. Pressing it again disables the freeze
function.

Displaying EPG
Toview the EPG(electronic program guide)provided by the
content provider:
1. Press theEPG key and thenuse the Up / Downkey highlight a
desired channel topreview the EPG.To view today's complete
EPG, press theRight key.
2. When today'scomplete EPG isdisplayed, use theUp / Down
key to scrollalong the EPG.To view the EPG of next/previous
day, press the UP / Down key continuously.
To see thehighlighted EPG details,press the Right key.
3. The detailed EPG screenwill show asbelow if pressed the Right
key.

The receiver featuresan on-screen menu providing access to a
variety of setupand management controls.
Use the remotecontroller to navigate through the menu and
activate required settings.
Managing Program List
Main Menu >Program List >TV / RadioProgram List
All active channelsare listed in the Program List, allowing you to
make your ownfavorite channel group, move, delete or sort
channels.
Creating Favorite ChannelGroups
This feature allowsyou to group your favorite channels. To create
your favorite groups:
1. Select thechannel which you would like to add to the group and
go to theFavor column.
2. When theFavor column of thedesired channel is highlighted,
one red heartsymbol would appear after pressed the OK key.
Pressing the OK key again will un-select the channel from the
favorite group.
3. Once yourfavorite group is created, you can press the
FAVORITE keys to quicklyaccess your favorite channels.

Moving a Channel
1. Select the channelwhich you liketo move andgo to theMove column.
2. Press OK and symbol will bedisplayed.
3. Use theUp / Downkey to movethe channel toa desired position.
Deleting a Channel
1. Select the channelwhich you liketo delete andgo to theDel column.
2. Press OK and an X symbol will be displayed. Repeat this step in the
channel to bedeleted.
3. Press EXIT or MENU and the markedchannel will bedeleted.

Sorting Channels
1. Go toMain Menu > Program List > Sort.
2. You can sort the channels by the channel name, service ID or
channel number.Select one methodas required.
3. Press MENU or EXIT to return theprogram list.
The list is now sortedby the specifiedorder.

Manual Search
If any channelis missing afterauto search, oryou want toadd
newly launched channels,you can useManual Search to scan
the desired channels.To manually searchthe target channel,
you must knowits parameters, e.g.,the channel number. Afterthe
channel is found,it is appendedto the currentchannel list.
1. Enter theManual Search menu via Main Menu > Program
Search > Manual Search.
2. Specify the appropriatechannel number in the Channel No
field by pressingRight/Left or the numeric keys. Upon your
selection, the frequencyand bandwidth values are changed
accordingly.
3. Select OK to start manual search.
4. If nosignal is found,a message indicating no signal will appear.
Otherwise scanned channelwill be saved and appended to the
current channel list.

Parental Control
This feature allowsyou to prevent children or unauthorized people
from watching channels.
1. Go toMain Menu > Parental Control. First, you will need to
enter PIN asprompted to usethe parental control menu. (The
default PIN is6666.)
2. Aftercorrect PIN input,the following options are provided:
Channel Lock: Allows you to activate or de-activate the overall
parental control. Whenset to YES, all the channelswith locking
settings will belocked.
Parental Setting: In the channel list, select the channel you
want to lockand then press OK. A padlock symbol will be
displayed. To remove the lock, press OK again.
