Recent Apps button
• Tap to open a card view of applications you've worked with recently.
Home button
• From any application or screen, tap to return to the Home screen.
• Press and hold to access Google Assistant. You can get help such as getting directions and restaurant
information based on the content detected on the screen.
Back button
• Tap to go back to the previous screen, or close a dialog box, options menu, the Notification panel, etc.
Power/Lock key
• Press: Lock the screen/Light up the screen.
• Press and hold: Show the popup menu to select from Power off/Restart/Screenshot.
• Press and hold the Power key and Volume Down key to capture a screenshot.
• Press and hold the Power key for at least 10 seconds to force restart.
Volume Keys
• In call mode, adjusts the earpiece or headset volume.
• In Music/Video/Streaming mode, adjusts the media volume.
• In general mode, adjusts the ringtone volume.
• Mutes the ringtone of an incoming call.
• In camera preview mode, press Volume key to take a photo or press and hold to take a burst shot.

1.2 Setup
Setup your phone for the first time
The first time you power on the phone, the following setup options will show on the screen:
• Tap to select the phone's language, then tap to continue.
• Connect to an available Wi-Fi network, or tap Skip to continue.
• Set up date and time if needed, then tap Next to continue.
• Set up Google Services by marking the corresponding checkboxes, tap MORE to learn more about Google
Services, then tap Accepted.
• Set up Fingerprint to unlock the screen by tapping Next, otherwise tap Skip.
• Set up a screen lock to protect your phone if you didn't set up a fingerprint lock above. or tap Not now and SKIP
ANYWAY to continue.
• Set up Face recognition to unlock screen by tapping Add face data, otherwise tap Skip.
• Tap FINISH to complete setup.
Inserting Nano SIM card
The Nano SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card identifies your device to the wireless network. A Nano SIM card or
Wi-Fi connection is required to browse the Internet.
Insert an optional microSDTM card to expand the storage on your device. Note: microSDTM cards are sold separately.
You don't need to power off your device before inserting or removing the Nano SIM or microSDTM cards.
Your device only supports Nano SIM cards. To avoid damage to your device, do not attempt to insert any
other SIM types.
1.3 Home Screen
Swipe the screen up to enter the applications list.
Status bar
•Status such as battery level and app notifications appear in the
Status bar.
•Drag down to open the Notification panel.

Tap an icon to open an application, folder, etc..

1.4 Status Bar
From the status bar, you can view both phone status (to the right side) and notification information (to the left side).
Here is a list of the icons you might see and their meanings:

2.1 Power on/off
Hold down the Power/Lock key until the screen lights up. If Lock screen settings are enabled, enter the unlock PIN,
password or pattern to access the Home screen. .
If you don't know your PIN, password or pattern, or if you have forgotten it, contact your service provider. Do not
store your unlock PIN, password or pattern within your device, instead store it in a location that is accessible without
using device.
Hold down the Power/Lock key until the device options appear, select Power off.
Charging
Insert the small end of the charging cable into the charge port, and plug the charger into an electrical outlet.
Note: Please use the cable that came with your device. Using other cables may damage the charging port or reduce
battery performance.
2.2 Battery
To optimize battery performance, make sure to fully charge your device before using it for the first time.
To optimize battery life adjust your settings:
• Brightness level: Lowering your screen brightness level can optimize your battery level. To adjust the brightness
level, swipe up from the Home screen, tap Settings > Display > Brightness level. To lower the brightness level,
slide to the left.
• Power Saving Mode: Power Saving mode minimizes battery usage to extend battery life. To turn on your Power
Saving mode, swipe up from the Home screen, tap Settings >Battery. Then turn on Standby intelligent power
saving and Battery saver.
• Screen timeout: Screen timeout will darken the display after a set time of inactivity. To change your Screen
timeout time, swipe up from the Home screen, tap Settings >Display >Sleep. Then select the screen timeout
duration.

Note: The back cover and battery are not removable. Disassembling the device may damage your battery.

Making a call
To make a call, touch .
View the contact’s detailed

Enter the desired number from the dial pad and touch to place the call or select a contact from or by
sliding or touching tabs, then to make the call.
The number you entered can be saved to Contacts by touching Create new contact.
If you make a mistake, you can delete the incorrect digits by touching .
To hang up a call, touch .
International call
To dial an international call, long press to enter “+”, then enter the international country prefix followed by the full
phone number and touch .
Emergency call
If your phone has network coverage, dial the emergency number and touch to make an emergency call. This
works even without a SIM card and without typing the PIN code.

Answering or rejecting a call
When you receive a call:
• Slide up or touch ANSWER to answer;
• Slide down or touch ANSWER to reject;
• Touch to reject the call by sending a preset message.
To mute an incoming call, press the Volume key.
Voicemail
Your voicemail is provided by your network to avoid missing calls. It works like an answering machine that you can
consult at any time.
To access your voicemail, long press .
To set your voicemail number: go to menu >Settings > Voicemail >Advanced Settings > Setup >Voicemail
number.
If you receive a voicemail, appears in the Status bar. Open the Notification panel and touch Voicemail.
3.2 Contacts .............................................................................................
View and create contacts on your phone and synchronize them with your Gmail contacts or other applications on
the web or on your phone.
• Tap in the contact list to create a new contact.
• Tap in the contact details screen to edit.
• Tap to add the contact to favorites; tap to remove a contact from favorites.
• Press and hold the contact you want to delete, then tap .
Adding a contact
Tap in the contact list to create a new contact.
Enter the contact's name and other contact information. By scrolling up and down the screen, you can move from
one field to another.
Select a picture or take a photo
for the contact
When finished, tap the icon to save
Tap to open additional contact fields

When finished, tap SAVE to save.
To exit without saving, tap and then tap DISCARD.
Editing your contacts
Tap in the contact details screen to edit.
When finished, tap SAVE to save.
Add to/remove from Favorites(1)
Tap a contact to view details then tap to add the contact to favorites.
Tap the star to remove a contact from favorites.
Deleting a contact
• Press and hold the contact you want to delete, then tap and confirm to delete.
• Tap to select all contacts, then tap and confirm to delete all contacts.
Deleted contacts will also be removed from other applications on the phone or web the next time you
synchronize your phone.
(1) Only phone contacts can be added to Favorites.
Sharing a contact
You can share a single contact with others by sending the contact's vCard to them via Email, Messages, or Bluetooth.
Select a contact you want to share, tap and then select Share.
Available options
From the contact list, you may also make further settings by tapping .

• Import/Export Import or export contacts between phone, SIM card, microSDTM card and phone
storage.
• Block numbers Add numbers here so that you won't receive calls or texts from them.
• About Contacts Tap to view the build version, open source licenses and so on.

Use the messaging app to send and receive text (SMS) and multimedia (MMS) messages.
Creating a message
On the message list screen, tap to create text/multimedia messages.

Sending a text message
• Enter the name or the phone number of the recipient in the To bar or tap to add recipients.
• Tap the Type message bar to enter the text of the message.
• Tap to insert emoticons.
• When finished, tap to send the text message.
An SMS message of more than 160 characters will be sent as several SMS. A character counter is displayed on the
right of the text box.
Specific letters (accented) will also increase the size of the SMS, this may cause multiple SMS to be sent to
your recipient.
Sending a multimedia message
MMS enables you to send video clips, images, photos, animations, slides and sounds to other compatible mobile
devices and e-mail addresses.
• Enter the recipient's phone number or email address in the To bar.
• Tap the Type message bar to enter the text of the message.
• Tap to access other options, such as inserting a Contact. Tap to attach a picture, video, or audio.
• When finished, tap to send the multimedia message.
Managing messages
When receiving a message, will appear in the Status bar as a notification. Drag down the Status bar to open the
Notification panel, tap the new message to open and read it. You can also access the Messaging application and
touch the message to open it.
Messages are displayed as conversations in the order received.
Tap the message thread to open the conversation.
• Tap to call the number.
• Tap to save the number or email address to Contacts or view the contact details if the number has been
saved.
• To reply to a message, enter text in the Type message bar. Tap to attach a media file. Tap for more options.
• Press and hold a message to access the following actions:
