Inserting the microSD card
1.2 Home screen
Your device has multiple Home screen pages,giving you more space to add favorite apps, folders, and widgets for one-touch access. To switch
between screens, slide your finger to the left or to the right.
1.2.1 Lock/Unlock your screen
Press the Power key and then slide to the right to unlock your device.
You can also customize your lock settings by choosing Settings/Lock settings.

Touch and drag down the Status bar to open the Quick setting panel. Using this panel, you can enable or disable functions or change modes
by touching the icons.
When there are notifications, touch and drag down the Status bar to open the Notification panel and read the detailed information.
1.3 Apps and widgets
1.3.1 Apps
The Applications (apps) list contains all pre-embedded and newly installed apps. To access the apps list, touch the all apps key on
Home screen.
1.3.2 Widgets
Touch & hold any empty space on the home screen to switch to the widgets interface.
1.3.3 Get more apps
Touch the Play Store icon to get more apps.
1.3.4 Create and manage shortcuts on the desktop
Touch and hold an icon in the 'All Apps' list to create a shortcut. It will jump to the home screen automatically and you can drag the icon
to the right place. Releasing an icon on top of another one will create a folder. You can name the folder by touching the tab under the icons.
1.3.5 Remove apps icon from desktop
Touch and hold the icon you want to delete from the desktop, drag it over the " ", which appears at the top of the screen.

1.4 Basic operation
1.4.1 Power on your device
Press and hold the Power key until the device powers on. It will take a couple of seconds before the screen lights up.
1.4.2 Power off your device
• Press and hold the Power key about 3 seconds until the options appear, select "Power off " to power off your device.
• Press and hold the Power key about 10 seconds to force your device to shut down.
1.4.3 Stand-by mode
Press the Power key once to enter stand-by mode..
Note: Without operation, the product will enter stand-by mode automatically. Press the Power key once to wake it up.
1.4.4 Restart
• Press and hold the Power key about 3 seconds until the options appear, select "Restart" to restart your device.
• When your device is not responding, press and hold the Power key about 10 seconds to restart your device.
1.4.5 Connecting to a computer via USB
Connecting your device to your computer by USB allows you to transfer files between your device and the computer.
1.4.6 Change your wallpaper
You can change your wallpaper in two different ways: touch on home screen, select a wallpaper from Wallpaper, and then touch Set
wallpaper.Another way is by going to Settings > Display > Wallpaper.
1.4.7 Wi-Fi
To turn Wi-Fi on and connect to a wireless network:
• Touch the Wi-Fi icon on the Quick setting bar to turn Wi-Fi On/Off.
• Select Settings, touch the switch next to Wi-Fi to turn Wi-Fi On/Off.
• Touch a Wi-Fi network to connect. If the network you selected is secured, you are required to enter a password or other credentials (You
may need to contact the network operator for details).When finished, touch Connect.
Tip: To extend the battery life, turn off Wi-Fi when you're not using it.
1.4.8 Zoom in/out
Draw your fingers apart/together to zoom in/out (Web browser, Gallery etc..).

Multi-window................................................................
Touch to enable the multi-window function.This function allows you to view multiple windows on your home screen.
Touch to unfold the APPs. Select an icon from the list to start an APP on the home screen. You can also drag the APP window to a
different location.
Touch an APP to bring it to

Tips: Please make sure that all of your important data has been backed-up before you run factory data reset.This function will erase all
apps and data that you have installed.

Allows you to sync events freely between your phone and Outlook and create and edit new events from a PC.

Easily import photos from a PC or the handset and organize them in different albums for better management.

It allows you to quickly search for your favorites in a PC, manage the ultimate Library, and enjoy the easiest digital jukebox in your own

4.2 Upgrade
You can use the Mobile Upgrade tool or FOTA Upgrade tool to update your phone's software.
4.2.1 Mobile Upgrade
Download Mobile Upgrade from the ALCATEL ONETOUCH website (www.alcatelonetouch.com) and install it on your PC. Launch the tool
and update your phone by following the step by step instructions (refer to the User Guide provided together with the tool).Your phone’s
software will now have the latest software.
All personal information will be permanently lost following the update process. We recommend you backup your personal data
using Smart Suite before upgrading.
4.2.2 FOTA Upgrade
To access System Updates, please open Settings\About phone\System updates. Touch Check for updates, and the phone will
search for the latest software. If you want to update the system, please touch the button Download, after it's done please touch Install to
complete the upgrade. Now your phone's software will have the latest version.
You should turn on data connection or connect by Wi-Fi before searching for updates. Settings for auto-check intervals and reminders about
upgrades are also available once you restart the phone.
If you have chosen auto-check, when the system discovers the new version, the icon will appear in the status bar.Touch the notification
to access the System Updates directly.

•TRAFFIC SAFETY:
Given that studies show that using a device while driving a vehicle constitutes a real risk, even when the hands-free kit is used (car kit, headset...),
drivers are requested to refrain from using their device when the vehicle is not parked. Check the laws and regulations on the use of wireless
mobile devices and their accessories in the areas where you drive. Always obey them.The use of these devices may be prohibited or restricted in
certain areas.
When driving, do not use your device and headphone to listen to music or to the radio. Using a headphone can be dangerous and forbidden in
some areas.
When switched on, your device emits electromagnetic waves that can interfere with the vehicle’s electronic systems such as ABS anti-lock brakes
or airbags.To ensure that there is no problem:
-do not place your device on top of the dashboard or within an airbag deployment area,
-check with your car dealer or the car manufacturer to make sure that the car’s electronic devices are shielded from device RF energy.
•CONDITIONS OF USE:
You are advised to switch off the device from time to time to optimize its performance.
Remember to abide by local authority rules of mobile device use on aircrafts.
Operational Warnings: Obey all posted signs when using mobile devices in public areas.
Follow Instructions to Avoid Interference Problems: Turn off your mobile device in any location where posted notices instruct you to do so. In an
aircraft, turn off your mobile device whenever instructed to do so by airline staff. If your mobile device offers an airplane mode or similar feature,
consult airline staff about using it in flight.
Switch the device off when you are in health care facilities, except in designated areas. As with many other types of equipment now in regular use,
devices can interfere with other electrical or electronic devices, or equipment using radio frequency.
Switch the device off when you are near gas or flammable liquids. Strictly obey all signs and instructions posted in a fuel depot,gas station, or chemical
plant, or in any potentially explosive atmosphere.
When the device is switched on, it should be kept at least 15 cm from any medical device such as a pacemaker, a hearing aid or insulin pump. In
particular when using the device you should hold it against the ear on the opposite side to the device, if any.

Read and follow the directions from the manufacturer of your implantable medical device. If you have any questions about using your mobile device
with your implantable medical device, consult your healthcare provider.
To avoid hearing impairment, answer the call before holding your device to your ear. Also move the handset away from your ear while using the
“hands-free” option because the amplified volume might cause hearing damage.
It is recommended to have proper supervision while small children use your device.
Please note that your device is a unibody device, the back cover and battery are not removable. Do not attempt to disassemble your device. If you
disassemble your device, the warranty will not apply. Also disassembling the device may damage the battery, and may cause leakage of substances
that could create an allergic reaction.
Always handle your device with care and keep it in a clean and dust-free place.
Do not allow your device to be exposed to adverse weather or environmental conditions (moisture, humidity, rain, infiltration of liquids, dust, sea air,
etc.).The manufacturer’s recommended operating temperature range is -10°C (14°F) to +55°C (131°F) (the max value depends on device, materials
and housing paint/texture).
Over 55°C (131°F) the legibility of the device’s display may be impaired, though this is temporary and not serious.
Do not open or attempt to repair your device yourself.
Do not drop, throw or try to bend your device.
Do not use the device if the glass made screen, is damaged, cracked or broken to avoid any injury.
Do not paint it.
Use only batteries, battery chargers, and accessories which are recommended by TCT Mobile Limited and its affiliates and are compatible with your
device model.TCT Mobile Limited and its affiliates disclaim any liability for damage caused by the use of other chargers or batteries.
Your device should not be disposed of in a municipal waste. Please check local regulations for disposal of electronic products.
Remember to make back-up copies or keep a written record of all important information stored in your device.
Some people may suffer epileptic seizures or blackouts when exposed to flashing lights, or when playing video games.These seizures or blackouts may
occur even if a person never had a previous seizure or blackout. If you have experienced seizures or blackouts, or if you have a family history of such
occurrences, please consult your doctor before playing video games on your device or enabling a flashing-lights feature on your device. Parents should
monitor their children’s use of video games or other features that incorporate flashing lights on the devices.
All persons should discontinue use and consult a doctor if any of the following symptoms occur: convulsion, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness,
involuntary movements, or disorientation.To limit the likelihood of such symptoms, please take the following safety precautions:
- Play at the farthest distance possible from the screen.
When you play games on your device, you may experience occasional discomfort in your hands, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of your body.
Follow these instructions to avoid problems such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, or other musculoskeletal disorders:
- Take a minimum of a 15-minute break every hour of game playing.
- If your hands, wrists, or arms become tired or sore while playing, stop and rest for several hours before playing again.
- If you continue to have sore hands, wrists, or arms during or after playing, stop the game and see a doctor.
PROTECT YOUR HEARING

Your device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio-frequency
(RF) energy.These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines and establish permitted levels of RF energy for the general population.The guidelines
are based on standards that were developed by independent scientific organizations through periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific studies.

In general, the closer you are to a wireless base station antenna, the lower the power output of the device. Before a device model is available for
sale to the public, compliance with national regulations and standards must be shown.
The highest SAR value for this model device when tested is 1.58 W/Kg for use close to the body.
While there may be differences between the SAR levels of various mobile devices and at various positions, they all meet the government requirement
for RF exposure. For body-worn operation, the device meets FCC RF exposure guidelines provided that it is used with a non-metallic accessory with

How to obtain Hardware Service within the terms of this warranty: Create a user profile (alcatel.finetw.com) and then create an RMA for
the defective device. Ship the device with a copy of the original proof of purchase (e.g. original copy of the dated bill of sale, invoice) with the
owner’s return address (No PO Boxes accepted), wireless carrier’s name, alternate daytime phone number, and email address with a complete
problem description. Only ship the device. Do not ship the SIM card, memory cards, or any other accessories such as the power adapter. You
must properly package and ship the wireless device to the repair center. TCT Mobile (US), Inc. is not responsible for devices that do not arrive
at the service center or are damaged in transit. Insurance is recommended with proof of delivery. Upon receipt, the service center will verify
the warranty conditions, repair, and return your device to the address provided in the RMA. Check the warranty repair status by going online
with the RMA number on web portal.

TCT Mobile (US), Inc. warrants to the original retail purchaser of this wireless device that should this product or part thereof during normal
consumer usage and condition be proven to be defective in material or workmanship that results in product failure within the first twelve (12) months
from the date of purchase as shown on your original sales receipt from an authorized sales agent. Such defect(s) will be repaired or replaced (with
new or rebuilt parts) at the company’s option without charge for parts or labor directly related to the defect(s).
Batteries, power adapters, and other accessories sold as in box items are also warranted against defects and workmanship that results in product
failure within the first six (6) months period from the date of purchase as shown on your original sales receipt. Such defect(s) will be repaired or
replaced (with new or rebuilt parts) at the company’s option without charge for parts or labor directly related to the defect(s).
The limited warranty for your wireless device will be voided if any of the following conditions occur:
• Non-compliance with the instructions for use or installation, or with technical and safety standards applicable in the geographical area
where your device is used;
• Connection to any equipment not supplied or not recommended by TCT Mobile (US), Inc.;
• Modification or repair performed by individuals not authorized by TCT Mobile (US), Inc. or its affiliates;
• Changes to the device operating system by the user or third party applications;
• Acts of god such as inclement weather, lightning, power surges, fire, humidity, infiltration of liquids or foods, chemical products, download
of files, crash, high voltage, corrosion, oxidation;
• Removal or altering of the wireless device’s event labels or serial numbers (IMEI);
• Damage from exposure to water or other liquids, moisture, humidity, excessive temperatures or extreme environmental conditions, sand,
excess dust and any condition outside the operating guidelines;
• Defects in appearance, cosmetic, decorative or structural items such as framing and non-operative parts;
• Damage as result of physical abuse regardless of cause.

Troubleshooting...................................................................
Before contacting the service center, you are advised to follow the instructions below:
• You are advised to fully charge ( ) the battery for optimal operation.
• Avoid storing large amounts of data in your device as this may affect its performance.
• Use Factory data reset and the upgrade tool to perform device formatting or software upgrading (to reset factory data, hold down
the power key and the Volume up key at the same time).ALL User device data: contacts, photos, messages and files, downloaded
applications will be lost permanently. It is strongly advised to fully backup the device data and profile via ONETOUCH Center before
doing formatting and upgrading.
Please, carry out the following check:
My device cannot be switched on or is frozen
• When the device cannot be switched on, charge for at least 20 minutes to ensure the minimum battery power needed, then try to
switch on again.
• When the device falls into a loop during the power on-off animation and the user interface cannot be accessed, press and hold the
Volume down key to enter Safe Mode.This eliminates any abnormal OS booting issues caused by 3rd party APKs.
• If neither method is effective, please reset the device using the Power key and the Volume up key, (holding both together).
My device has not responded for several minutes
• Restart your device by pressing and holding the Power key.
My device turns off by itself
• Check that your screen is locked when you are not using your device, and make sure the Power key is not mis-contacted due to
unlocked screen.
• Check the battery charge level.
My device cannot charge properly
• Make sure that your battery is not completely discharged; if the battery power has been empty for a long time, it may take around 20
minutes to display the battery charger indicator on the screen.
• Make sure charging is carried out under normal conditions(0°C (32°F) to +40°C (104°F)).
• When abroad, check that the voltage input is compatible.
I am unable to use the features described in the manual
• Check with your operator to make sure that your subscription includes this service.
• Make sure this feature does not require an ALCATEL ONETOUCH accessory.
My callers are unable to leave messages on my voicemail
• Contact your network operator to check service availability.
I cannot access my voicemail
• Make sure your operator’s voicemail number is correctly entered in "Voicemail number".
• Try later if the network is busy.
I am unable to connect my device to my computer
• Install ALCATEL ONETOUCH Center.
• Check that your USB driver is installed properly.
• Open the Notification panel to check if the ONETOUCH Center Agent has been activated.
• Check that you have marked the checkbox of USB debugging. To access this function, touch Settings\About device, then touch
Build number 7 times.Then touch Settings\Development\USB debugging.
• Check that your computer meets the requirements for ALCATEL ONETOUCH Center Installation.
• Make sure that you’re using the right cable from the box.
I am unable to download new files
• Make sure there is sufficient device memory for your download.
• Select the microSD card as the location to store downloaded files.
• Check your subscription status with your operator.

The device cannot be detected by others via Bluetooth
• Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on and your device is visible to other users .
• Make sure that the two devices are within Bluetooth’s detection range.
How to make your battery last longer
• Make sure you follow the complete charge time (minimum 2.5 hours).
• After a partial charge, the battery level indicator may not be exact.Wait for at least 20 minutes after removing the charger to obtain an
exact indication.
• Adjust the screen brightness as appropriate.
• Extend the email auto-check interval for as long as possible.
• Update news and weather information on manual demand, or increase their auto-check interval.
• Exit background-running applications if they are not being used for a long time.
• Deactivate Bluetooth,Wi-Fi, or GPS when not in use.
The device will become warm following prolonged calls, game playing, internet surfing or running other complex
applications.
This heating is a normal consequence of the CPU handling excessive data. Ending above actions will make your device return to normal
temperatures.
