IftheACinvertermakesabeepingsound:switchoffyourappliance,unplug
theinverterandrestartyourvehicle'sengine.Thebeepingsoundissimply
thelow-batterywarningwhichindicatesthatthevoltageofyourbatteryisgetting
low.Yourinverterwillshutdownautomaticallyifyoudonotrestartyourengine
andcontinuetheuseofyourinverter.Thiswillleaveyourvehicle'sbatteryat
about10.5VDC(21VDCwhenusing24Vinput,enablingyoutostartyourengine
andresumeoperationoftheinverter.italsoeliminatesthepossibilityofbeing
strandedwithadeadbattery.)
Toavoidover-dischargingthebattery,itisadvisabletoletyourenginerunfor
10to20minutesafterevery2-3hoursofusingtheACinverter.Thisallows
yourvehicle'sbatterytorecharge.
Pleaseremembertoconnectthe"+"wiretothe"+"terminalandthe"-"wire
tothe"-"terminalifyouchoosetouseanadapterinordertoestablisha
directconnectionbetweentheACinverterandthebatteryterminals.IFYOU

conncetedtoametalearthingstakedrivenintothegroundtoadepthof
1.2mormore,IfthebatterysystempoweringtheInverterdoesnot
haveaconnectiontoground,oneofthebatteryterminals
(commonlythenegativeterminal)shouldalsobeconnectedtothe
earthingstake.
InavehicleswheretheInverteriswireddirectlytothebattery,theearth
terminalissimplyconnectedtothevehiclechassis.IftheInverteristo
beusedinavehicleonatemporarybasisandwillbepoweredviathe
cigarettelightersocketinthevehicle,theearthterminalshouldbe
connectedviaashortlinktoeitherthenegativeorpositiveDCinput
terminaloftheInverter,dependingonwhetherthevehiclehasa
negativeorpositivechassisconnection.Howeverwhenusingthe
Invertertopowerequipmentusedoutsidethevehicle,anearthing
stakeshouldalsobeused,asdescribedabove.
Inaboat,theearthterminalshouldbeconnectedtotheexisting
groundingsystem,whichmaybethehullofthecraft,oranetworkof
groundwires

inverterforpossiblemalfunctionsifthefandoesnotworkwhenthisunitis
beingused.
TheoutputwaveoftheACinverterisaMODIFIEDSINEWAVE.Ifyouchooseto
measuretheACoutputvoltage,youmustuseanAUTHENTICRMSVOLT
METER.UsinganyothertypeofvoltagemeasuringdevicewillresultinanAC
voltagereadingthatisupto20to30voltslowerthantheratedvalue.The
readingwillonlybeaccuratewhenusinganauthenticRMSvoltmeter.

cigarettelightersocketinthevehicle,theearthterminalshouldbe
connectedviaashortlinktoeitherthenegativeorpositiveDCinput
terminaloftheInverter,dependingonwhetherthevehiclehasa
negativeorpositivechassisconnection.Howeverwhenusingthe
Invertertopowerequipmentusedoutsidethevehicle,anearthing
stakeshouldalsobeused,asdescribedabove.
