Overzicht:
Binnenunit:
1. Displayscherm: Hier wordt de tijd, binnen- en
buitentemperatuur en de weersvoorspelling weer
gegeven.

Buitenunit:
1. Controle-LED: Licht op zodra de buiten-unit de
meetgegevens naar de binnen-unit zendt.
2. Display waarop afwisselend de temperatuur en
de vochtigheid weergegeven wordt.
3. Schakelaar CH 1.2.3: Om de buiten-unit op een
ander kanaal in te stellen.
4. Toets RESET: Om de buiten-unit opnieuw op te
starten in geval van een (mogelijke) storing.

5. Ophangopening: Voorziening om de buiten-unit aan
de wand op te hangen.
6. Batterijcompartiment.
Voeding:
Binnen-unit:
Schuif het batterijklepje aan de achterzijde naar beneden en plaats
2 AA 1,5V batterijen zoals aangegeven in het batterijcompartiment.
Schuif het batterijklepje terug op de binnenunit.
De binnen-unit gaat nu gedurende 1 minuut op zoek naar de bui-
ten-unit. Plaats dus binnen die 1 minuut batterijen in de buitenunit.
Buiten-unit:
Schuif het batterijklepje aan de achterzijde naar beneden, schuif de
CH schakelaar in positie ‘1’ en plaats 2 AA 1,5V batterijen zoals aan-
gegeven in het batterijcompartiment. Schuif het batterijklepje terug op
de buitenunit.
Batterij zwak waarschuwing:
Zodra de batterij van de buiten-unit leeg raakt, licht op het display
van de binnen-unit het symbool op. Vervang nu de batterijen van
de buiten-unit.
De binnen-unit heeft geen batterijwaarschuwing. Vervang hier de
batterijen zodra het display slecht of zwak oplicht.
Koppelen binnen-unit / buiten-unit:
Automatisch:
Zodra de batterijen in de binnen-unit zijn geplaatst, gaat de bin-
nen-unit gedurende 1 minuut op zoek naar een signaal van de
buiten-unit. Als u dus binnen die minuut batterijen heeft geplaatst in
de buiten-unit en deze units ‘vinden’ elkaar, dan koppelen deze units
zichzelf automatisch aan elkaar en verschijnt op het display van de
binnen-unit de temperatuur zoals de buiten-unit die doorstuurt.
Handmatig:
Als de units elkaar niet automatisch vinden, of na het vervangen van
de batterijen, dan kunt u als volgt de buiten-unit (opnieuw) aan de
binnen-unit koppelen:

1. druk kort met een puntig voorwerp achter op de binnen-unit op
toets RESET
2. druk kort met een puntig voorwerp achter op de buiten-unit op
toets RESET
3. na enkele seconden hebben de units elkaar (weer) gevonden
Alarm:
Wekalarm instellen & inschakelen:
1. druk 2 seconden op toets ALARM SET
2. stel met +/- het uur in en druk kort op toets ALARM SET
3. stel met +/- de minuten in en druk kort op toets ALARM SET, de
alarmtijd is vastgelegd (en wordt ook direct geactiveerd)
In- / uitschakelen:
Druk 2x kort op toets ALARM SET. Als “ ” oplicht is het wekalarm
nu ingeschakeld; licht “ ” niet op, dan is het alarm nu uitgeschakeld.
Werking:
• Op het ingestelde tijdstip zal het alarm gedurende maximaal 120
seconden klinken.
• Druk op toets ALARM SET om het alarmsignaal voortijdig te
stoppen of druk op toets SNOOZE/LIGHT om de sluimerfunctie in
te schakelen; het wekalarm klinkt dan na 5 minuten opnieuw.
• Het alarm wordt dagelijks herhaald.
Temperatuurweergave:
Gebruik de schakelaar °C / °F aan de achterzijde van de binnen-unit
om de temperatuur in graden Celsius of in graden Fahrenheit weer te
geven. (De buiten-unit kan de temperatuur alleen in °C weergeven.)
Achter het symbool wordt de binnentemperatuur weergegeven.
Achter wordt de buitentemperatuur van buiten-unit 1 weergege-
ven.
Gebruik toets CH aan de achterzijde van de binnen-unit om de
temperatuur van buiten-unit 2 of 3 weer te geven of houd toets CH
2 seconden ingedrukt waarna automatisch alle kanalen worden ge-
scanned. Druk kort op toets CH om dit scannen uit te schakelen.
Zie ook hoofdstuk ‘Uitbreiding’.6

Max/min temperatuur:
Druk kort op toets MEM om de maximum gemeten temperatuur te
zien, druk nogmaals op toets MEM voor de minimum temperatuur.
Houd toets MEM gedurende 3 seconden ingedrukt om de MAX en de
MIN waarden te wissen. Ook nadat u de batterijen heeft vervangen of
op het knopje RESET heeft gedrukt, zijn de MAX en de MIN waarden
gewist.
IJs-alarm:
Zodra de buitentemperatuur tussen +3°C en -2°C komt, knippert in
het display het symbool .
Weersvoorspelling:
Door verandering in de luchtdruk kan de WS-2300 het weer voor de
komende 12 tot 24 uur voorspellen en toont deze voorspelling met
behulp van de volgende ikonen:
Opmerkingen:
• de nauwkeurigheid van een op luchtdruk gebaseerde voorspelling
is 70% tot 75%; let op dat geen garantie gegeven kan worden op
het correct weergeven van de voorspelling.
• de voorspelling is gebaseerd op de komende 12 tot 24 uur en
hoeft niet de actuele situatie weer te geven.
• een voorspelling ‘Zon’ in de nachtelijke uren betekend een open
weertype.
• een voorspelling ‘Regen’ in de winter, zal in de praktijk sneeuw
inhouden.

Uitbreiding:
Op de binnen-unit kunt u tot 3 buiten-units aanmelden. U kunt dan
de temperatuur op 3 verschillende locaties (bijvoorbeeld in uw kas,
in dierenverblijven, in verschillende slaapkamers, enz.) meten. Extra
buiten-units kunt u via internet www.alecto.nl bestellen.

Aanmelden extra buiten-unit:
1. schuif het batterijklepje aan de achterzijde van de nieuwe
buiten-unit naar beneden en plaats 2 AA 1,5V batterijen zoals aan-
gegeven in het batterijcompartiment.
2. schuif de kanaalschakelaar ‘CH’ net boven de batterijen aan de
achterzijde van de buiten-unit in positie 2 of in positie 3.
3. schuif het batterijklepje terug op de buitenunit.
4. druk nu aan de achterzijde van de binnen-unit een aantal keer kort
op toets CH zodat of oplicht (afhankelijk van of u ‘CH-2’ of
‘CH-3’ bij de buiten-unit heeft geselecteerd) en druk dan kort op
toets SENSOR.
5. de binnen-unit gaat nu op zoek naar de buiten-unit en zodra
deze gevonden is, wordt de temperatuur op het display van de
binnen-unit weergegeven.
Reset/ Systeemstoring:
Als de WS-2300 een mogelijke storing vertoont, kan het raadzaam
zijn de binnen- en de buiten-unit te resetten.
1. druk met een spits voorwerp op het reset knopje aan de
achterzijde van de binnen-unit.
2. druk met een spits voorwerp op het reset knopje aan de
achterzijde van de buiten-unit (u moet hier even de batterijdeksel
van de buiten-unit voor afnemen).
De binnen- en de buiten-unit zullen zichzelf resetten en opnieuw
verbinding met elkaar zoeken. Na enkele seconden is de WS-2300
weer gebruiksgereed.

Milieu:
Op het einde van de levenscyclus van het product mag u dit product
niet bij het normale huishoudelijke afval gooien, maar moet u het
naar een inzamelpunt brengen voor de recycling van elektrische en
elektronische apparatuur.
Uitgewerkte batterijen niet weggooien maar inleveren bij uw
plaatselijk depot voor Klein
Chemisch Afval (KCA).
Locatie buitensensor:
Het wordt geadviseeerd om de buitensensor overdekt op te hangen,
dus niet direct in de regen en sneeuw.

1. Display:

Snooze button for the alarm function.
Also turns on the display lighting.

For checking and setting the wake-up alarm.

Selection button when using multiple outdoor units and the ‘+’ button during
setup.

To switch the temperature display between
degrees Celsius and degrees Fahrenheit.
8. SENSOR button:
To pair the indoor unit with the outdoor unit.
9. RCC button:
To turn the DCF receiver on or o󰀨.
10. RESET button:
To restart the indoor unit in case of a (possible) error.
11. Battery compartment.
Outdoor unit:
1. Monitor-LED: Illuminates as soon as the outdoor
unit is sending measurement data to the indoor
unit.
2. Display, shows alternately the temperature and the
humidity.
3. CH 1.2.3 switch:
To set the outdoor unit to a di󰀨erent channel.
4. RESET button: To restart the outdoor unit in case
of a (possible) error.
5. Suspension eye: Provision to suspend the outdoor
unit from a wall.

Power supply:
Indoor unit:
Slide down the battery cover at the rear of the unit and insert 2 AA
1.5V batteries according to the markings inside the battery compart-
ment. Slide the battery cover back onto the indoor unit.
The indoor unit will now start a 1 minute scan to search for the
outdoor unit. Therefore, you’ll need to insert the batteries into the
outdoor unit within that minute.
Outdoor unit:
Slide down the battery cover at the rear of the unit, slide the CH
switch to the position ‘1’ and insert 2 AA 1.5V batteries according to
the markings inside the battery compartment. Slide the battery cover
back onto the outdoor unit.
Weak battery warning:
As soon as the batteries of the outdoor unit become exhausted, the
symbol will illuminate on the display of the indoor unit.
Now please replace the batteries of the outdoor unit.
The indoor unit does not provide a battery warning.
Replace the batteries of this unit as soon as the display becomes dim
or weak.
Pairing the indoor unit / outdoor unit:
Automatically:
As soon as you insert the batteries into the indoor unit, the indoor unit
will start a 1 minute scan to search for the signal of the outdoor unit.
Therefore, if you insert the batteries into the outdoor unit within that
minute and the units will ‘nd’ each other, they will be automatically
paired and the display of the indoor unit will show the temperature
transmitted by the outdoor unit.
Manually:
If the units cannot be paired automatically, or after replacing the
batteries, you can pair the outdoor unit (again) with the indoor unit as
follows:
1. use a sharp object to briey press the RESET
button on the rear of the indoor unit
2. use a sharp object to briey press the RESET
button on the rear of the outdoor unit

3. The units will nd each other (again) after several seconds and
the indoor unit will display the temperature transmitted by the
outdoor unit.
Clock:
Introduction
The WS-2300 is provided with a built-in DCF receiver which receives
the DCF time signal from Frankfurt. This signal ensures that the clock
shows the time very accurately, provided a strong enough signal is
being received.
Automatically:
As soon as you insert the batteries into the indoor unit, the clock will
start searching for the DCF radio signal for the time while the anten-
na symbol is ashing. After several seconds or minutes the WS‑2300
will start showing the correct time. In extreme cases, it can take over a
day before the DCF time is shown.
Manually:
If the clock cannot receive the radio signal or cannot receive it well
enough, you can set the clock manually as follows:
1. press and hold the DISPLAY SET button for 2 seconds, 12Hr or
24Hr will appear in the display
2. use +/‑ to set the time format, then briey press the DISPLAY SET
button
3. use +/‑ to set the hours and then briey press the DISPLAY SET
button
4. use +/‑ to set the minutes and then briey press the DISPLAY
SET button
5. use +/- to set the seconds to 0 (this allows you to have the clock
run synchronously with your own clock) and then briey press the
DISPLAY SET button
6. use +/‑ to set the hour di󰀨erence compared to the DCF time.
E.g. for use in the Benelux select ‘0’ and then briey press the
DISPLAY SET button
The clock is now set manually.
When the DCF receiver is enabled and a strong signal is being
received, the receiver will overwrite the clock display.

Switching the DCF receiver on/o󰀨:
You can turn o󰀨 the DCF receiver as follows, allowing you to have
only the time and date shown on the display according to your pro-
gramming:
• turn o󰀨: press and hold the RCC button at the rear of the indoor
unit for 4 seconds until the antenna symbol disappears.
You can turn the receiver back on as follows:
• turn on: briey press the RCC button at the rear of the indoor unit
until the antenna symbol starts ashing
‘DST’ in the display.
‘DST’ stands for Daylight Saving Time.
‘DST’ illuminates when the displayed time is the daylight saving time.
Alarm:
Setting & turning on the wake-up alarm:
1. press and hold the ALARM SET button for
2 seconds
2. use +/‑ to set the hours and briey press the ALARM SET button
3. use +/‑ to set the minutes and briey press the ALARM SET
button, the alarm time is now saved (and is also activated imme-
diately)
Switching on/o󰀨:
Briey press 2x the ALARM SET button. When the wake-up alarm
is currently enabled, “ ” will be shown; if “ ” is not illuminated, the
alarm is disabled.
Operation:
• As soon as the set time is reached, the alarm will sound for up to
120 seconds.
• Press the ALARM SET button to stop the alarm signal earlier or
press the SNOOZE/ LIGHT button to enable the snooze function;
the wake-up alarm will then sound again after 5 minutes.
• The alarm is repeated daily.
Temperature display:
Use the °C / °F switch at the rear of the indoor unit to display the
temperature in degrees Celsius or in degrees Fahrenheit.

The symbol is followed by the indoor temperature.
Behind that the outdoor unit is shown from outdoor unit 1.
Use the CH button at the rear of the indoor unit to display the
temperature from outdoor unit 2 or 3 or press and hold the CH for 2
seconds to automatically start scrolling through all channels. Briey
press the CH button to stop this scan.
See also chapter ‘Expansion’.
Max/min temperature:
Briey press the MEM button to check the maximum temperature
measured, press the MEM button again for the minimum tempera-
ture.
Press and hold the MEM button for 3 seconds to delete the MAX and
MIN values. Also after replacing the batteries of pressing the RESET
button, the MAX and MIN values are deleted.
Ice alarm:
As soon as the outdoor temperature falls within a range of +3°C and
-2°C, the symbol starts ashing in the display.
Weather forecast:
The WS-2200 can predict the weather for the following 12 to 24 hours
based on the changes in air pressure and shows this forecast using
the following icons:
Sunny partly
cloudy
cloudy rainy
Remarks:
• the accuracy of a forecast based on air pressure is 70% to 75%;
please keep in mind that a correct display of the weather forecast
is not guaranteed.
• the prediction is based on the coming 12 to 24 hours and does not
necessarily represent the current weather conditions.
• the ‘Sunny’ forecast shown at night means an open weather type.
• the ‘Rainy’ prediction during winter, usually means snow.

Expansion:
You can register up to 3 outdoor units to the indoor unit to have the
temperature measured at 3 di󰀨erent locations (e.g. in your green-
house, pet room, di󰀨erent bedrooms, etc.). You can order additional
outdoor units via the internet at www.alecto.nl
Registering additional outdoor units:
1. slide down the battery cover at the rear of the new outdoor unit
and insert 2 AA 1.5V batteries according to the markings inside
the battery compartment.
2. just above the batteries at the rear of the outdoor unit, slide the
‘CH’ channel switch to position 2 or position 3.
3. slide the battery cover back onto the outdoor unit.
4. now repeatedly and briey press the CH at the rear of the indoor
unit until or illuminates (depending on whether you’ve
selected ‘CH-2’ or ‘CH-3’ in the outdoor unit) and then briey press
the SENSOR button.
5. the indoor unit will now start searching for the outdoor unit and as
soon as the units nd each other, the temperature will be shown
on the display of the indoor unit.
Reset/System error:
If the WS-2300 shows a possible error, you may have to reset the
indoor and outdoor unit.
1. use a sharp object to press the reset button at the rear of the
indoor unit.
2. use a sharp object to press the reset button at the rear of the
outdoor unit (for this, you’ll need to briey remove the battery
cover from the outdoor unit).
The indoor and outdoor units will then be reset and a new pairing
scan will start. After several seconds, you can continue using the
WS-2300.

Environment:
At the end of its lifespan, this product should not be
discarded as normal domestic waste, but is must be
taken to a collection point for the recycling of electric and
electronic equipment.
Don’t throw away exhausted batteries, take them to your local depot
for small chemical waste.
Location outdoor unit:
It is advised to not mount the outdoor-unit direct in rain or snow.
Please look for a more covered place.

4. Taste RESET: Um die Außen-Einheit erneut zu
starten, im Falle von einer (möglichen) Störung.
5. Aufhängeö󰀨nung:Ermöglicht das Aufhängen der
Außen-Einheit an einer Wand.
6. Batteriefach.
Stromversorgung:
Innen-Einheit:
Schieben Sie die Batteriefachklappe an der Rückseite nach unten
und setzen Sie 2 AA 1,5V Batterien, wie angezeigt in das Batterie-

facht ein. Schieben Sie die Batteriefachklappe zurück auf die
Innen-Einheit.
Die Innen-Einheit beginnt nun für 1 Minute die Aussen-Einheit zu
suchen. Setzen Sie deshalb innerhalb dieser 1 Minute die Batterien
in die Außen-Einheit ein.
Außen-Einheit:
Schieben Sie die Batteriefachklappe an der Rückseite nach unten,
schieben Sie den CH Schalter in die Position ‘1’ und setzen Sie 2 AA
1,5V Batterien, wie angezeigt in das Batteriefacht ein. Schieben Sie
die Batteriefachklappe zurück auf die Außen-Einheit.
Batterie schwach Warnung:
Wenn die Batterie der Aussen-Einheit schwach wird, leuchtet auf dem
Display der Innen-Einheit auf das Symbol auf. Wechseln Sie nun
die Batterien in der Außen-Einheit.
Die Innen-Einheit hat kein Batteriewarnung. wechseln Sie die Batte-
rien, wenn das Display schlecht oder schwach aueuchtet.
Verbinden Innen-Einheit / Außeneinheit:
Automatisch:
Sobald die Batterien in der Innen-Einheit eingestezt sind, beginnt
die Innen-Einheit für 1 Minute das Signal von der Außen-Einheit zu
suchen. Wenn sie also innerhalb dieser Minute die Batterien in die
Außen‑Einheit eingesetzt haben und diese Einheiten ‘nden’ sich,
dann verbinden sich diese Einheiten sich selbst automatisch mitei-
nander und es erscheint auf dem Display von der Innen-Einheit die
Temperatur sobald die Außen-Einheit diese sendet.
Manuell:
Wenn sich die Einheiten nicht automatisch nden, oder nach dem
Wechsel von den Batterien, dann können Sie wie folgt die Außen-Ein-
heit (erneut) mit der Innen-Einheit verbinden:
1. drücken Sie kurz mit einem spitzen Gegenstand hinten an der
Innen-Einheit die Taste RESET
2. drücken Sie kurz mit einem spitzen Gegenstand hinten an der
Außen-Einheit die Taste RESET
3. nach einigen Sekunden haben sich die Einheiten (wieder) gefun-
den
