high efficiency filters, equippe with energy-efficient an cutting-
e ge technology.
To get familiarize with your new pro uct, please rea the manual
carefully before first use an retain this booklet for future
reference.
Some housing parts, such as the keypa an the black front area,
are provi e with protective foils to prevent scratching. Please o
not remove these protective foils unless you are sure that you will
keep the air purifier.

!Please note on initial operation due to cold temperatures!
Place the air purifier in a heated room for 2-3 hours before turning on
the device for the first time. This will allow the engine oil to ad ust
itself to room temperature, so that noises will be avoided.

1. Short notes for the use
The air purifier alf a ALR300 Comfort is easy to use. In a ition to the built-in timer function, it can be controlle with an
external conventional time switch, to turn it on or off.
or effective air cleaning, we recommend to proceed as follows:
 Ventilate extensively 2 - 3 times aily, an then turn on the air cleaner.
 In or er to achieve an optimal air cleaning, the air cleaner shoul be operate as long as necessary to
achieve twice the purification of the room air volume.

Using in a sleeping room: We recommen a time limite running with high fan spee after airing of the room an
before going to be . If necessary, you can use the sleep mo e the entire night. The win ow can remain open. In
the case of pollen, place the air cleaner between the open win ow an the be area.
We recommen using the ionization only for a short time in the sleeping area, as this can cause poor sleep for
sensitive people.
2. Safety instructions
 Please unpack the filter before use, otherwise there will be no filter effect an the air purifier can also be
amage !
 Never block the air intake an the air outlet of the unit.
 Do not place the air purifier nearby heaters, stoves, etc. an avoi grease aerosols, heat an water splashes in
an near the unit.
 Please unplug the power cor when the unit is not use for a long time.
 To clean the housing o not use water or etergent to avoi amage.

5. Placement
1. Keep at least 20 cm istance to the wall, 50 cm istance
to the air inlets an 2 m istance to the ceiling.
2. Keep 2 m istance to any Multi-Me ia-Pro ucts.
3. Do not place the air purifier irectly into the sun. The air
purifier oes not replace the necessary ventilation
(oxygenation) especially in rooms with fireplaces.
4. Important: The air purifier is not suitable to filter
greasy air! It is not suitable to be placed in
production areas!
5. To ensure the best possible air cleaning, the room layout
has to be taken into consi eration when placing the air
purifier.
Following some samples for placing the air purifier:
If the room size is larger than 60 m² / 150 m³ or the
room is very win ing, you may nee to place 2 air
cleaners.
To get the best result of air cleaning, place the unit
where air circulation is goo an place the unit
near the source of pollute air.

7. Operation
Method of Operation
Connect the power cord: Once the power cor is connecte , the unit starts to work in me ium-fan-mo e, the ionizer is turne
off, the LEDs light up briefly an the particle sensor is activate .
On / Off-button: Pressing the power button, the unit will be switche off/on.
If the unit is switche on again, the last selecte mo e will be activate an can be change then.
an Speed-button: Press the button for selection of the fan spee . The LED screen will in icate one sign
for low spee , two for me ium an three for high an a sign for the PM 2,5 -Sensor-controlle automatic
operation.
Press the button to use the timer function. Accor ing to your selection, the air cleaner will run for 4, 8
or 12 hours. The Timer-Function can be combine with all other functions.
If the Sleep-Mode is selecte , the air cleaner works very silently with re uce air quantity. All LEDs
will be switche off after 10 secon s, except the one in icating the sleep mo e, so that the LEDs o
not interfere in a ark room. The sleep-Mo e can be combine with timer-function an / or ionizer. By
pressing any button, the sleep-mo e will be switche off.
Press the button for Ionizer. The LED will show the operation.
External timer: The air cleaner can be connecte with external timer to set the working time. The unit has to be switche on.
The initial mo e will be me ium-fan-spee with switche off ionizer. The external timer is not inclu e in scope of elivery.

Air quality indication and AUTO-Mode with intelligent PM 2.5 - Sensor Control
1. The air purifier measures the air quality by using an intelligent ust sensor
an isplays it in color:
blue = clean air
yellow = eterioration of air quality
re = high air pollution
Using the automatic mo e, the air purifier runs permanently in a small fan spee . If air quality egra ation is etecte
it woul change automatically in higher fan spee for short time to ensure best air quality.
That, what is known as fine ust (PM2.5) contains 50% of the particles having a iameter of 2.5 microns, a higher
proportion of smaller particles an a lower proportion of larger particles. Particles of this size can go into the
pulmonary alveoli (lungs). They are at most as large as bacteria an therefore cannot be seen with the nake eye.
The air quality assessment alrea y takes into account the limit values of irective 2008/50/EG as of 2020. That means,
that the PM 2.5 value will be below 20 ug / m3 for the in ication of clean air (blue)

8. ilter installation
Before using the air cleaner the first time, remove the foil packing from the filters inside.
Built in filters
The built in filters consist of a plastic-pre-filter an the main filter elements. (Please refer to Point 4).
9. Maintenance
For maintenance please isconnect the unit from power to avoi an electric shock. Never clean the filters with water to avoi
changes to the shape of the filters. The pre-filter an the blue cotton filter shoul be cleane carefully with a vacuum cleaner
every 4-6 months.
The sensor for air quality measurement has to be cleane about every 3-6 weeks.
To o this, carefully remove the cover an clean the sensor with a clean water moistene
swab. Please o not use alcohol or other cleaning agents, as this coul amage the
sensor.
10. ilter replacement
The plastic pre-filter can be use permanently, however if it is amage , then it nee s to be replace .
The average urability of the multi-filter is up to 1.5 years with a aily 4-hour operation. The extent of use an air pollution.
Strong tobacco smoke for example will shorten the using time of the filter.
If the unit is not use for a long time, we recommen removing the filter from the unit an placing it insi e an airtight foil.
Please note that the alf aAntiSMOKE-Filter element looses it´s effect in case of non-use. Therefore it shoul be use latest
after 2 month of purchase.
The maximum o or an pollutant-filtering effect of the alf aAntiSMOKE-Filter element is 1 year after unpacking the filter.

11. ailure and Solutions
Please refer to the following before contacting Customer Service Centre for service / repair:
Unit does not work: Check if the power cor is plugge in correctly, power is available an the front panel is installe
correctly.
The Remote Control does not work: Please check whether the battery is place correctly an has enough capacity.
First try changing the battery (size CR2032). The remote control must be irecte at the unit`s front si e with the IF-
Sensor.
The unit is noisy: Check if the foil on the filter is still insi e an remove it. Also check the pollution level of the filter-
element. A pollute filter can also be the reason for more lou ness.
Reduced air flow at the air outlet: Please make sure that the air outlet is not blocke . The filter element is increasingly
saturate by particles, ust an allergens an shoul then be replace .
Odors or dirt in the air are not being filtered. Loud operation noise level :
Please make sure, that air intake an air outlet are not blocke an clean them carefully with a vacuum cleaner. Take
the filter unit out of the air cleaner an clean the pre-filter un filter-set carefully with a vacuum cleaner or replace the
filter-set with a new one.
Using the alf aCleanAIR-Filter element: There is the possibility to reactivate the HIMOP filter (o or filter) - Please remove the
textile pre-filter an place the filter element in the sunlight for several hours. NOTE: The ark si e has to be upwar s. Hereby
the function of the HEPA-Filter is not affecte , also the urability is not exten e .
Using the alf aTrueHEPA-Filter element: Only particle-borne o ors can be filtere , gaseous o ors remain unfiltere . If
necessary please use the alf aCleanAIR-Filter element or the alf aAntiSMOKE-Filter element.
In case of no improvement, the filter element has to be replace
The air quality indicator is not working or constantly shows "red": Clean the ust sensor carefully as escribe before.
Please note that this sensor etects only the health concern particles (PM 2.5) an therefore oes not respon to any ust.
(However, this oes not iminish the power of the air cleaning over the entire particle size range.)
12. Warranty conditions
Our pro ucts are subject to strict quality control. If your air purifier shoul still not be functioning properly, we regret this
an ask you to contact the authorize customer service.
The warranty perio is 2 years from ate of purchase. The guarantee is for the country to which the air purifier was
elivere from the ealer. Devices, that have material an workmanship efects are repaire or replace at our iscretion
uring the warranty perio . Exchange evices or parts of evices become our property. It oes not exten the warranty
perio nor oes it initiate a new warranty in transition.
Warranty claims must be submitte imme iately after becoming aware of the efect within the warranty perio .
In order to claim the warranty service involves the following steps:
Please contact by e-mail (verkauf@alf a. e) the customer service an escribe the problem. Please note the invoice
number an your name in this e-mail.
If a return is agree upon, sen the unit securely package at your expense to our service. Inclu e a copy of the invoice
on which you note the efect. If the efect is un er our guarantee, you will get a repaire or new evice sent on our costs.

Warranty claims are excluded for damage caused by:
- Misusage or improper treatment
- Unusable con itions (moisture, fat, heat, over voltage, ust, etc.)
- Failure to follow the safety precautions applicable to the evice
- Not following the instructions
- The use of force (eg. rop, shock, impact, ump own, etc.)
- Proce ures that were not performe by the a ress of our authorize service
- Unauthorize attempts to repair
- Unsecure an non-transportable packaging.
Furthermore, no subject to any warranty are batteries an filter cartri ges as these are consumable parts.
Defects or amage to the evice not covere (or no longer) by the warranty will be correcte if necessary, against
costs. For an in ivi ual quotation, please contact our customer service.
In this case the shipping costs are at your expense .
