Introduction
The Allworx Telephony Service Provider (Allworx TSP) is a TAPI-compliant driver for MS Windows™. This
driver supports inbound and outbound calling, call transferring, call parking, and holding and un-holding calls
from TAPI-compliant applications.
Who Should Read This Document
These release notes should be read by VARs, System Administrators, and End Users of the Allworx TSP
driver. Included in this document are:
• Important Installation Tips
• Descriptions of features available in the Allworx TSP driver release 2.0.3.
• List of known issues
This document is an overview of the new Allworx TSP driver. It does not describe how to install and configure
the driver. Please see the Allworx TSP Installation Guide for configuration instructions.

Important Installation Information
1. The installer for the Allworx TSP driver can be found on our website www.allworx.com. Reseller portal
login is required to obtain the software. Follow the links to Downloads>Software.
2. The Allworx TSP Installation Guide can be found on the Allworx public website or Reseller portal at
www.allworx.com. Follow the links to Support / Downloads / Documentation / Allworx TSP.
3. The Allworx Server must have the Call Assistant Software Feature Key installed.
4. The PC running the Allworx TSP driver and the configured Allworx phone must be on the same network.
5. Remote phones can utilize the Allworx TSP driver when the PC is connected to the Allworx phone.
System Requirements
• Allworx 24x, 10x or 6x server running software release 6.8 or greater.
• Allworx Server with the Call Assistant Software Feature Key installed.
• Allworx phone with firmware 1.8 or greater. This version of the phone firmware is automatically
downloaded to the Allworx phones with upgrades to 6.8 software.
• Microsoft Windows XP Workstation (32-bit), Windows Vista (32-bit), or Windows 2000.
• TAPI-compliant application (e.g. Microsoft Outlook: 2000, 2003, or 2007)
Note: 64-bit Operating Systems and Server Operating Systems are not supported.

Allworx TSP Features Released in 2.0.3
The following calling features are supported by a user’s Allworx phone configured for the Allworx TSP driver:
• Outbound Calling: includes placing outbound calls and dialing additional digits on active calls (e.g. at an
auto attendant or entering a PIN code)
• Inbound Calling: includes answering calls or receiving prompts with caller information on inbound calls
• Caller ID information: includes automatic display of contact information
• Transfer Call: supports both blind and attended transfers
• Park Call: supports parking and retrieving parked calls
• Hold Call: supports placing calls on hold and retrieving calls (un-hold)
Not all features may be supported by a TAPI-compliant application. Consult your application’s documentation
for TAPI feature support.
