Percer un trou de 26 à 27 mm de diamètre à une
hauteur de 140 mm du fond et à plus de 30cm
des renforts latéraux de la boite (utiliser un foret
pour métaux).
Suivant les configurations de l'installation, l'orifice
peut être percé indifféremment sur les 4 cotés.
Positionner le raccord d'écoulement avec son joint
torique de l'intérieur vers l'extérieur et le fixer avec
le contre écrou.
Pour le montage mural du DNC, utiliser la console
prévue à cet effet. La position du DNC permettra de
répartir de manière optima le la pente des
canalisations d'écoulement des condensats, entre le
cône d'écoulement de la cheminée et le
raccordement au réseau d'évacuation.
Le cône d'écoulement de la cheminée doit
être raccordé à l'orifice du couvercle du DNC.
Le raccord d'écoulement latéral doit, lui, être
raccordé au réseau d'évacuation des eaux usées. Si
nécessaire, le raccordement sur le couvercle peut
être muni d'un coude pour faciliter la mise en
couvre (accessoire optionnel).
FONCTIONNEMENT DU DNC
Les condensats acides arrivent dans le dispositif de
neutralisation par le tube vertical. Le charbon actif
contenu dans le DNC élimine tout d'abord les traces
éventuelles de combustible présentes dans les
condensats.
Les condensats remontent ensuite en traversant le
lit de graviers calcaires afin de neutraliser l'acidité.
L'absence d'acidité résiduelle peut étre contrôlée
grâce aux bandelettes de mesure de pH, fournies
avec le DNC.
ENTRETIEN BI-ANNUEL
Contrôle du pH
Pour cela, recueillir un peu de condensat, à la
sortie latérale du DNC. Plonger une bandelette de
mesure du pH dans le condensat pendant 2
secondes et positionner aussitôt la bandelette sur
une feuille de papier blanc. Après environ 30
secondes, comparer la bandelette à l'échelle de
couleurs pour obtenir la valeur du pH.
Le pH doit se situer entre 6.8 et 7 pour être dans la
zone de neutra lité (pH<6.8 = condensat acide,
pH>7 = condensat basique).
Le pH des condensats non traités peut être mesuré
dans le tube vertical du DNC.
C harbon actif
Contrôler la surface du liquide dans le DNC.
En cas de présence de trace d'huile ou de
combustible, le charbon doit être remplacé. Les
filtres de charbon actifs saturés peuvent être jetés
aux ordures ménagères (si celles-ci sont brûlées
dans un incinérateurs).

least 30 cm away from the side reinforcements
(use a metal drill).
According to the installation configuration, the
opening can be made on any wall.
Slide the outlet connector (provided with a O-ring)
in the hole from inside towards outside and fix it
with the counter nut.
 Wall installation
The wall support supplied with the DNC has to be
used for its installation on a wall.
The DNC has to be set so as to use in the best way
the slope for the condensates between the drain
plug of the chimney and the connection with the
drain system.
The chimney drain plug has to be connected to top
of the DNC. The outlet plug set on the side of the
box has to be connected to the drain system. lf
required, an elbow can be ordered for easier
connection (elbow not included).
OPERATION OF THE DNC
The acid condensates enter the DNC through the
vertical pipe. Firstly, traces of oil in the condensates
are removed as they pass through an activated
charcoalfilter, then the acidity is neutralised as they
pass through the limestone grave l.
PH testing strips are provided with the DNC so as to
check the residual acidity.
SIX MONTH MAINTENANCE
PH testing
From the outlet plug of the DNC, collect some
condensates into which a pH testing strips will be
put for 2 seconds and then taken away and laid on a
white sheet of paper immediately. 30 seconds
afterwards, the strip colour will be compared with
the sca le to read the pH value of the condensates.
Values in between 6.8 and 7 indicate a neutral pH
(pH<6.5 = acid condensates, pH>7 = basic
condensates). lt is possible to test the condensates
pH before the Neutralisation process by collecting
some in the vertical pipe.
Activated C harcoal filter
Check the liquid appearance in the DNC; the
presence of oil traces indicates that the charcoal
filter is saturated and has to be replaced. The filters
ta ken away have to be thrown away only to be
incinerated.
Neutralisation gravel rinsing
When shaking the gravel in the DNC, if the liquid
becomes cloudy, it is normal, the gypsum and/ or
the magnesium sulphate are released by the
gravel, this has to be washed away twice a year.

MONTAGE
 Auslaufnippel einbauen
Auf einer Höhe von 140 mm ab innerem Boden
und einem seitlichen Abstand von den Verstär-
kungsrippen von 30 mm bohren Sie ein Loch von
26-27 mm (Blechstahlbohrer verwenden). Je nach
Aufstellmö g lichkeit kö n nen Sie diese Bohrung auf
der Längs- oder Breitseite anbringen. Auslaufnippel
mit O-Ring von aussen durchschieben und mit
Überwurfmutter (3/4") befestigen.
 Wandmontage
Für die Wandmontage steht eine Konsole zur
Verfügung. Diese muss so befestigt werden, dass
das Destillat zwischen dem Kondensatauslauf des
Kamins und dem Kanalisationsanschluss optimal für
Zu- und Abfluss aufgeteilt wird.
B Kondensatleitung
Der Kondensatauslauf des Kamins wird mit dem
Kondensatschlauch bis zur Bohrung im Deckel- und
vom Auslaufnippel zum Kanalisationsanschluss mit
dem Kondensatschlauch verbunden. Auf Wunsch
kann in die Deckelbohrung ein um 90
º
abgewin-
kelter Zulaufnippel eingesetzt werden
(Sonderzubehö r ).
BETRIEB
Das säurehaltige Kondensat fliesst in das Standrohr
der Almeva Neutralisationsbox. Die dort enthaltene
Aktivkohle bindet vorhandene B rennstoffs puren.
Beim anschliessenden Aufsteigen des Kondensates
durch den Kalkstein wird die Säure neutralisiert. Mit
den beigelegten pH-Wert Messstreifen kann das
Kondensat überprüft werden.
HALBJÄHRLICHE WARTUNG
pH-Wert mes sen
Dazu wird ein Streifen des Messpapiers in der Nähe
des Auslaufnippels während zwei Sekunden ins
Kondensat eingetaucht und anschliessend
mö g lichst auf eine weisse Unterlage (Papier) gelegt.
Nach ca. 30 Sekunden kann mit der Farbskala
verglichen werden. Bei einem pH-Wert von 6,8 bis 7
liegt der Neutralpunkt. Bei einem tieferen Wert ist
das Kondensat sauer, bei einem h öh eren basisch.
lnnerhalb des Standrohres kann der pH-Wert des
noch unbehandelten Kondensates ermittelt werden.
Aktivkohle
Wasseroberfläche in der Box über dem
Neutralisiermittel kontrollieren, und falls Ölspuren
feststellbar sind, den Aktivkohlefilter ersetzen.
Gesättigte Aktivkohlefilter k ön nen zum Hausmüll
gegeben werden, d.h. sie müssen in der
Kehrichtverbrennungsanlage verbrannt werden.
Neutralisiermittel ausspülen
Das Neutralisiermittel gut umrühren. Die Flüssigkeit
wird trübe, d.h. Gips bzw. Magnesiumsulfat lösen
sich vom Neutralisiermittel und kö n nen nun mit
Wasser weggeschwemmt werden.

R inçage des graviers de neutralisation
B ras ser et touiller les graviers dans le DNC. Le liquide
se trouble: le Gypse et/ou le sulfate de magnésium se
libèrent des graviers. Ils peuvent ensuite être évacués
par rinçage des graviers de neutralisation.
Boite à suie et siphon
Après le ramonage, démonter et bien nettoyer
la boite à suie et le siphon présent en pied de
cheminée. Rincer également les conduits
d'alimentation et d'évacuation de condensats.
ENT RETIEN ANNUEL
Charbon actif
Suivre les recommandations de l'entretien bi
annuel.
Graviers de neutralisation
Mesurer le pH résiduel des condensats et changer les
graviers calcaires si nécessaire.
Pour remplacer les graviers, évacuer le liquide présent
dans le DNC en l'inclinant. Débrancher les conduits
d'arrivée et d'évacuation des condensats. Vider le DNC
et rincer entièrement la boite et ses accessoires.
Remettre en place l'entretoise, la grille et le tube
vertical, puis replacer la couche d'ouatine sur la grille.
Remplir le DNC avec les graviers de calcaire et replacer
le filtre à charbon actif dans le tube vertical.
Remettre le DNC en place et raccorder les conduits
d'arrivée et d'évacuation des condensats (joints
positionnés à l'extérieur de la boite).
Evacuation des déchets
Les graviers de neutralisation doivent être évacués en
décharge; ils ne contiennent pas de polluants. Les
filtres de charbon actifs saturés peuvent être jetés aux
ordures ménagères (si celles-ci sont brûlées dans un
incinérateurs).
Soot limp and siphon
After sweeping the chimney, remove and clean the
bottom and siphon. The inlet and outlet condensates
pipes have also to be rinsed.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Activated Charcoal filter
See above.
Neutralisation gravel
Using the pH testing strips, check the residual pH and, if
required, replace the gravel.
Before replacing the gravel, tilt the DNC over so as to get
rid of the liquid. Unplug the inlet and outlet pipes. Take
away the gravel and rinse the box and accessories.
Replace the spacer, the grid and vertical tube and
eventua lly the fleece mat on the grid.
Pour the Neutralisation gravel into the DNC and change
the activated charcoal filter into the vertical pipe. Reset
the DNC and connect it again (the sea Is must be fitted
outside of the box).
Waste evacuation
The Neutralisation gravel can be thrown away in any bin as
they are pollutant free but the saturated activated charcoal
filters have to be incinerated only.
R ussabscheider und Siphon reinigen
Nach der Reinigung des Kaminrohres werden Russ-
abscheider und Siphon demontiert und gut durch ges pült.
JÄHRLICHE WARTUNG
Aktivkohle
Siehe halbjährliche Wartung.
Neutralisiermittel
pH-Wert messen und wenn nötig Neutralisiermittel
auswechseln (siehe halbjährliche Wartung). Flüssigen
lnhalt der Neutralisationsbox durch Schrägstellen
entleeren. Überwurfmutter am Auslaufnippel lösen und
Kondensatschlauch entfernen. Ganze Box ausleeren und
auswaschen, auch lnnenteile abspülen. Abstandsring und
Rost mit Standrohr einsetzen und Vliesmatte einlegen.
Neutralisiermittel einfüllen und Aktivkohlefilter einsetzen.
Kondensatschlauch wieder anschliessen (Dichtung
ausserhalb der Box) und Überwurfmutter von Hand
anziehen.
E ntsorgung
Das verbrauchte Neutralisiermittel gehört in eine
Bauschuttmulde oder Deponie. Es enthält keine
nennenswerte Schadstoffe . Aktivkohle-Filter siehe
halbjährliche Wartung.
