High pressure control
A high pressure control switching off the compressor at too high
pressure is included in the compressor. The high pressure con-
trol makes sure the compressor will not exceed the application
limits. The reset switch must be operated manually as soon as
the error has been established.
As soon as the high pressure control has been activated, the red
LED is flashing until the reset switch has been operated.
Preferably lower the water temperature by 2-3°C to prevent the
high pressure control from being activated again.
Operating menu
The Ventronik BWP will be supplied with factory-settings to allow
the commissioning of the system without prior adjustments of the
operating menu of the system.
The factory-setting is only a basic setting which can be adapted
to the demands, requests and conditions of the respective apart-
ment in order to achieve optimal operating conditions and the
maximum possible efficiency of the system.
Change of operating data
Press the arrow keys at the same time
(arrow up), (arrow down),
to reach the operating menu.
Now, the first item E0 of the operating menu is displayed. If no
switch is activated over 1 minute, the screen will be reset to the
normal display.
With (arrow up) and (arrow down) you will reach the
requested menu item.
A set point can be changed by pressing at the same time
(operating thermostat) and one of the arrow keys /
If no switch is activated over 15 seconds, the screen will be
reset to the normal display.
Description of the menu items
E0: Factory-setting
If the system does not work as requested with the adjusted
set points and if the cause of the malfunction cannot be found,
proceed as follows: write down all the settings of the set points.
Put the set point to 1 and confirm by OK. Then, all the set points
will be reset to the factory-setting.
Factory-setting: 0
E8: Thermal disinfection ON/OFF
IIf this parameter is set to 1, the Ventronik BWP will heat the wa-
ter once a week to 65°C with the heating element, even though
P2 is set to 0.
Factory-setting: 0
E9: Operation in cold surroundings ON/OFF
If the heat pump is installed in the cellar with cold supply air, the
Ventronik BWP can be set so that below a certain air temperature
the electric heating element starts operating in order to protect
from freezing. This function will be activated by setting the set
point to 1.
If the setting is 0, the heat pump will not be switched off, no mat-
ter how the setting of P5 is.
Factory-setting: 1
E10: Operation in cold surroundings
If the set point in E9 is set to 1, you can define the temperature
from which on the compressor will no more be used.
The set point can be selected from 0-10°C.
The heating element starts working automatically below the set
temperature, no matter how the setting of P2 is.
We recommend +8°C to assure a seamless change-
over from HP-operation to heating element operation.
Factory-setting: 8°C
E16: Min. air quantity
This value specifies the lowest possible speed of the fan during
operation.
Note: by setting a too high value, the heat discharge via the
evaporator may be overloaded in case of breakdown of the
high pressure control. The value should not be set higher than
necessary to assure a low air flow through the evaporator.
Setting between 0-100%.
We recommend to keep the factory-setting (0).
E17: Party operation
Stage 3 (P1:3) allows to set the system so that after a couple of
hours it will automatically be reset to stage 2 (P1:2). For this, set
the set point to 1.
If you set the set point to 0, the system runs in stage 3 until you
switch manually to another stage (see “P1: Setting of the fan
power stages”).
Factory-setting: 0
E18: Number of hours for ventilation party operation
Setting of the number of hours running constantly in stage 3 be-
fore the automatic reset to stage 2.
The value can be set from 1-6 hours.
Factory-setting: 3 hours
