Please read t h is manu al carefully before
using the mac hine and sy stem components.
This manual contains instructions on how to
use t his product safely and effectively. If
failure to follow the i n structions in this
manual causes malfunctions, Alpine will not
assume any responsibility.
This manual uses various icons to explain
how to use t his product safely, and reminds
you to pay attention to th e dangers t h at may
be caused by improper connection and
operation. The meaning of these icons will be
explained below. A complete understanding
of t h e meaning of these icons is ver y
important for the correct use of this manual
and this system.

Any function that affects your concentration
should on ly be used after the car h a s come to a
complete stop. To use these function s , please
park your vehicle i n a safe place first.

Do not let the cable be entang led with
sur roun d ing o bjects
Arrange the wires and cables in accordance
with the requirement s of the manua l to
prevent t h em from becoming obstructive while
driving. Cables or wires that obstruct or ha n g
on the steering whee l, shift lever, brake ped a l,
etc. are extremely dan gerous.
Do n ot sp lice cab les
Do not cut the cable insula tion to supply power
to other equipment. O t h er w ise, the current
carrying capacity of the wire will be exceeded,
resulting i n fire or elect ric shock.
Do n ot dam a g e the pipe or wir ing when drill i n g
When drilling holes in the chassis for
installation, be careful n ot to touch, damage or
obstruct the pipes, fuel lines, fuel tanks or
wires. If you don' t pa y attention, it can cause
fire.
Do not use bolts o r n uts in b rakes or steering
systems fo r grou n din g connectio ns
Never use bolts or nuts used in brakes or
steering systems (or any other sa fety -related
systems) or fuel tanks for installation or
grounding connections. The use of such parts
will cause th e car controller to fail, result i n g in
fire an d so on.

The wiring a n d installation of this product
require professional skills and experience. For
safety reasons , please contact the dealer where
you purchased the product for installation.
Use d esig nated accessories and install se c urely
Make sure to use only desi gn ated accessories.
The use of non-designated pa rts may cause
internal da m age to th e device, or it may not be
securely installed in place. This can cause parts
to loosen and cause da n ger or product failure.
Arrange the wires to avoid c rim p ing o r b eing
sq uee zed b y s h ar p m e tal ed ges
The arrangement of wires and cables sh ould be
far away from mov in g parts (such as seat tracks)
or sharp edges or corners. This will avoid
crimping and damage to th e wires. If th e wiring
passes through a metal hole, a rubbe r gasket
should be used to prevent the wire insula tion
from being cut by t h e edge of the metal hole.
Do n ot install in high hum i d ity or d usty
location s
Avoid installing the device in a location with
high humidity or dust. Moisture or dust invades
the devi ce and ca n cause product failure.

Please use a dry soft cloth to clean t h e product
regularly. If the dirt is difficult to remove, soa k
a soft cloth with water only. Any other solvent
may dissol ve.

Before turning on the mac hine, please make
sure that the temperature in the car is between
+60°C and -20 °C.

If you encounter a problem, do not repair it
yourself. Please return thi s product to an
authorized Alpine dea ler or the nearest A lpine
service center for repair.

To prevent extern a l noise from entering th e audio system.
The installation position of the machine and th e wiring arrangement should be at least 10cm
away from the automobile wiring harness.
Try to keep the battery power cord away from other wires.
Securely conn ect the ground wire to the bare metal contacts of the car chassis (remove any
paint, dirt or grease if n ecessary ).
If you want to attach an optional noise suppresso r, please try to keep it away from the
machine when connecting. Your Alpine dealer has various types of nois e suppresso rs, please
contact them for details.

Indicators
① Power and Protection In d icator
Within 2 seconds of booting, th e indicator
light wil l show red;
In the protection state, the i n dicator light
shows red light ;
When work i n g normally, the i n dicator light
shows blue light ;
When shutting down, the indicator light is
off.
② Hi- Res Sig nal Ind icator
When the optical fiber/coaxial i n pu t signal is
Hi-Res standard signal, t h e indicator light is
always on (red light );
When there is no Hi -R es standard signal for
analog input and optical/coaxi a l input
signal, the in dicator light is off.

When the Internal power amplifier is t urne d

Computer S oftware
Precautions installation
The software can only be used under the Microsoft ® Wind ows® operating system.
Operating system: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7,Windows 8,Windows 10
CPU：1.6GHz or higher
Memory card: 1GB or high er
Hard Disk: 512MB or more free space
Computer screen resolution: 1280 *7 68 or higher
Before connecting t h e HDP-D90 machine to the computer, please install the HDP-D90 comp uter
software correctly.
After installing the HDP-D90 s oftware, you can tune and set the HDP-D90 machine on th e
computer.
*This function is mainly for manu facturers and distributors.
Computer Software Introduction

The host is powered on.

Connect one en d of the USB 2.0 cable to
the “USB” port of the host, and connect
the other end to the USB port of the
computer.

open the software.

the whol e machin e.
The encrypted sound data data can be stored
as preset sound effects or computer files,
and copying and transmission will not affect
the en crypted state.

You ca n press a nd hold the left button of the
mouse to move the fader left or righ t or scroll
the mouse wheel, or press the up and down
keys of the keyboard to s et th e attenuation.
The Mix source is equi v alent to mixing. The
greater the attenuation of the main sou n d
source, the lower the main volume, a djustable
value: 0%~10 0%.

2Select the input ch a n n el t y pe in th e pop-up
window. Set the input type in the input t ype
setting dialog box. There are tweeter,
midrange, woofer, subwoofer and full-range
options in t h e front; tweeter, midrange,
woofer, subwoofer a n d full-range options
are available in the rear; F/C-tweeter,
F/C-midrange, R/C-tweeter and
R/C-midrange options are available in the
center; L-subwoofer, R-subwoofer a n d
C-subwoofer options a re available in the
subwoofer; L-surro und and R-surround
options are a vailable in the surroun d;

The input h a s 10 bands of EQ adjustable, and
there are two i n terfaces of graphic equalization
and parametric equa lization.

EQ settings
1Select the inpu t ch a nnel to be adjusted.
2When the mouse moves to the serial
number position, hold down, drag up a nd
down to adjust the equalizer gain, drag
left a nd right to a djust the equalizer
frequency; when the mouse moves to the
left a nd right blue boxes, hold down and
drag to adjust the equa lizer Q value. You
can also set the frequency, Q value a nd
gain by directly inputting the value,
scrolling the mouse wheel, and the up
and down keys on the keyboard.
Adjustable frequency range: 20Hz~40kHz;
Adjustable range of Q value: 0.404~2 8. 8 52;
Gain adju stable range: -12.0 dB ~+12.0 dB.
Note: Th e gain is adjustable in the graph i c
equalization interface, and th e frequency
and Q value are not adjustable. In the
parameter equalization interface, th e
frequency, Q value and ga i n are
adjustable.
Equalizer Settings
1. When there is EQ adjustment, th e direct
equalization button appears.
2. Throug h Equalization: When the current
channel equalizer is turned on, th i s button
will be displayed [ ], click [Through
Equalization] or the through dot to make all
equalizers of the current channel inactive
(through).
3. After clicki ng t h e "Yes" button, the button
will be restored to the [Restore Balance]
state [ ]. Then click [R estore
EQ] and all equalizers of t he current channel
will return to the last activated state.
4. Click [Reset EQ], the parameters of all
equalizers of the current channel return to
the initial state: th e freque ncy is evenly
distributed, the input Q value i s 2.515 , the
output Q value is 1.007 , and th e gain is
0.0dB.
5. Click [Para metric Equalization] to pop up a
warning box "Confirm GEQ to PEQ mode?",
press OK to switch to [Graphic Equalization],
click [Graphic Equalization] to pop up a
warning box "Confirm PEQ to GEQ mode?",
press OK to confirm Switch [parameter
equalization]. In the parametric
equalization mode, the frequency, Q value
and gain are adju stable, while in th e graphic
equalizer mode, the frequency and Q value
are fixed, and only the equalizer gain can be
adjusted.

1. Gain setting: The gain can be a dju sted by
directly inpu ttin g the value, scrolling the
mouse wheel, the up and down keys on th e
keyboard, or clicking "-" or "+". Adjustable
range: -60dB~6dB.

1. Type settings: Link-R il, Besse l and Butter-W.
2. Frequency setting: The frequency can be
adjusted by directly inputting the value,
scrolling the mouse wheel, the up and down
keys on the keyboard, or clicking "-" or "+".
Adjustable range: 20Hz~40000Hz .

The output channel 9 can be bridged with the
output channel 11, and the output channel 11

power can be increased in bridge mode.

1. Delay adjustment: The delay can be adjusted
by directly in putting the value, scrolling the
mouse wheel or the up a nd down keys on
the keyboard.

Mix
After the HDP D90 machine sets the sound
source signal into t h e aud i o process o r, it is
divided into the volume of each output ch a n nel,
and t h e purp ose of mixing a n d mixing can be
achieved by adju sting the volume of each
sound s ou rce in t he chann el. In the passive
input mode, t h e frequen c y division is s et by the
PC t erminal; in th e active input mode, the
frequency division is set by the original vehicle
host itself.
RTA
1. Display window: The window size can be
the largest screen and can be zoomed
freely.
2. Select the display channel:
(1) Output : Clic k the drop-down list to select
the spectrum dyn am ics of th e output
channel.
(2) Fixed: Only t h e spectrum dynamics of the
currently selected outp ut ch a nnel can
be displayed, and other output
channels cannot be switched.
(3) Follow : Follow the output channel clicked
by the mouse to switch and dis pl ay th e
spectrum dynamics of the sele cted
output ch a n n el.
(4) Signa l gain: hold dow n t h e mouse and
push th e fader left and right to adjust
the s i g n a l gain.
(5) Sensit ivity: There a re high, medium and
low options. The higher the sensitivity,
the more sensitiv e th e frequency
spectrum jumps.
