Amber model 4224 4 Channel Receiver.

Operating frequency: 433.92 MHz.
ransmitter code type: Rolling code.
Battery: CR2450 Lithium 3V. he battery life should be in excess of 10 years.

Note that the antenna is internal.
MOUN ING
he ransmitter case may be mounted either on the facia of the fork lift truck
or on the engine cover to the right-hand side of the driver’s seat using the
4 EK screws provided
LED Note that the red LED will illuminate when a button is pressed, to confirm
that the transmitter is working.
he brightness of the LED is an indication of the state of charge of the battery.

PROGRAMMING EACH DOOR
he model 4244 ransmitter operates in conjunction with model 4224
4 Channel Receiver.
If there are more that 4 doors to be controlled by the transmitter, it is
recommended that a coloured spot is painted on each door as follows:
DOOR 1, 5, 9, 13 etc. RED
DOOR 2, 6, 10, 14 etc. YELLOW
DOOR 3, 7, 11, 15 etc. GREEN
DOOR 4, 8, 12, 16 etc. BLUE
NOTE THAT IT IS IMPORTANT IN CONSIDERATION OF SAFETY THAT EACH
DOOR IS PROGRAMMED TO AUTO-CLOSE TO ENSURE THAT AN INCORRECT
BUTTON PRESS WILL NOT CLOSE THE WRONG DOOR.
DOOR CONTROL
It is anticipated that the remote control of each door will not affect the
operation of another door on the same channel as each 5th door is likely to be
out of operating range of the first door.
RECEIVER WIRING
Please refer to the instructions for the Amber model 4224 Remote Control
Receiver.
Although it is possible to connect each group of 4 doors to one receiver. It is
preferable to install a separate receiver for each door as the receiver’s position
with its internal antenna will provide the optimum remote control operating
range for each door
he Normally Open (N/O) and COMMON relay contacts of each receiver channel
should be wired to the related OPEN terminals of each door control unit as follows:

DOOR NUMBERS 1, 5, 9, 13 etc. to CHANNEL 1 N/O and COM ERMINALS
DOOR NUMBERS 2, 6, 10, 14 etc. to CHANNEL 2 N/O and COM ERMINALS
DOOR NUMBERS 3, 7, 11, 15 etc. to CHANNEL 3 N/O and COM ERMINALS
DOOR NUMBERS 4, 8, 12, 16 etc. to CHANNEL 4 N/O and COM ERMINALS
Note that the relay contact terminals are all volt-free.
Note that the receiver is shipped with all 4 DIP switches set to OFF for
MOMEN ARY operation.
TRANSMITTER CODE PROGRAMMING
Up to 30 transmitter codes can be programmed into each receiver’s memory.
Locate the LEARN button on the receiver panel, which is next to the RED DIP
switches.
1. Press and release the LEARN button
2. he RED LED LD2 will illuminate.
3. Press and release a y o e of the transmitter buttons.
4. he RED LD2 will turn off.
5. Press and release the same button a second time.
6. he RED LED LD1 will flicker for a few seconds to indicate that the
programming is successful.
TRANSMITTER CODE ERASURE
1. Press and HOLD the LEARN button
2. he RED LED LD2 will illuminate for 8 seconds.
3. Release the LEARN button when the LED turns off.
4. he RED LED LD1 will illuminate for 2 seconds to confirm that all codes
have been erased.

ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTER CODE PROGRAMMING
If one transmitter has already been programmed into the receiver memory
then it can be used to initiate programming of further codes without removing
the receiver cover as follows:
1. Using the existing programmed transmitter, press and release both
button 1 and button 2 together.
2. hen press button 2. his puts the receiver into a program mode.
3. hen press button 1 of the new transmitter WICE.
4. est the operation of the new transmitter to confirm that the new code
has been stored in memory.
