Safety Instructions:
The following symbols relied up on for safety are used throughout this document.
WARNING/CAUTION
An appropriate safety instruction should be followed or caution to a potential hazard exists.
PROTECTIVE EARTH (GROUND)
To identify any terminal which is intended for connection to an external conductor for
protection against electric shock in case of a fault, or the terminal of a protective earth
(ground) electrode.
DANGEROUS VOLTAGE
To indicate hazards arising from dangerous voltages.
HOT SURFACE
To indicate that a surface or marked item can be hot and should not be touched without
taking care.
HEAVY
This product may weigh in the excess of 18 kgs (40lbs) and care or provisions for lifting,
moving and positioning should be taken.

SAFETY INFORMATION
- These products are intended for indoor use only.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure that do not play with the appliance.
- DO NOT stand on, or place excessive weight on the towel warmer.
- DO NOT apply more than two layers of towels per rail.
- DO NOT install the towel rail in or near a shower or water spray, sauna or steam room.
- WARNING: To avoid possible fire hazard. The bottom right hand corner of the towel warmer contains
the heater and electrical connections. Under no circumstances should the towel rail be situated in any
other orientation.
- Care and maintenance: a periodic wash with warm water and a soft damp cloth will retain the high
quality finish of your towel rail for many years to come. On no account should any household bleach,
detergents, abrasive polishes or steel wool or other cleaning agents be used on these products.
CAUTION:
To provide continued protection against risk of electric shock, connect to properly grounded supply
only.
The electric towel rails conform to: the requirements of UL499 and CSA C22.2 60335-2-43

CAUTION: To provide continued protection against risk of electric shock, connect to properly grounded
outlets only. Ensure that all electrical connections are made in accordance with local and national electrical
codes.
1.Cord Connected models
Cord connected models are provided with a dedicated moulded NEMA 5-15P plug.
Ensure the Outlet is provided and positioned within suitable proximity of the Towel rail and installed in
accordance with regional electrical codes.
In areas where moisture and condensation can form Radox recommend applying a loop in the cord to
prevent moisture traveling into the outlet (see Figure 2).
The Towel Rail must be connected to a grounded outlet.
- Disconnect from supply by carefully pulling the body of
the plug
- If the supply cord becomes damaged, the heater unit
must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard
- Do not abuse the power cord
- A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in
or tripping over a longer cord.
- The use of extension cords is not recommended.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
- All towel warmers contain a factory – filled water/glycol mixture
- Means of disconnection from the electrical supply must be incorporated in the fixed wiring, isolating
the towel rail from the supply by opening all live and neutral connections.
- The towel rail must be supplied via a 15Amp Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) - with a sensitivity
of 4 -6mA, or 2A Fuse – 150W rated, 4A Fuse- 300W, 8A Fuse- 600W rated towel rails. All protection
devices and ratings, including fuses, must comply with National/local Electrical Codes.
- Permanent hard wired connection: This must be installed by suitably qualified personnel. The
electricity supply must be disconnected during installation.

2. Permanently Connected models
CAUTION: To provide continued protection against risk of electric shock, connect to
properly grounded outlets only.
An optional hardwire cover kit may have been supplied with the electric towel warmer.
Permanent connection of the towel warmer must be carried out by a suitably qualified person. Ensure
that all electrical connections are made in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
The electricity supply must be disconnected during installation.
A grounded supply must be used.
Connections are to be as per figure 3. When installing the hardwire cover kit add sealant between the
element base and the top cup of the hardware cover
- If the supply cord becomes damaged, the heater unit must be replaced by the manufacturer, its

tripping over a longer cord.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- All towel warmers contain a factory – filled water/glycol mixture
- Suitable for 120V supply, three wire connection, rated 100, 150, 300 or 400W dependant on model.
- This product is heavy and may require 2 men to lift.
- Before starting, ensure situation and orientation.
This product must be electrically installed in accordance with local regional electrical codes by a quali-
fied engineer. Before attempting installation or servicing, turn off the electricity supply.
Your Towel Rail shall be provided with either a NEMA 5-15P cordset or provision made for a permanent
connection type installation.
The Electric Towel warmer is IPX-5 rated, although consideration must regarding the intended position of the
towel warmer and the electrical supply connection. The following safety instructions apply:

is adequate to take the fixing points of the rail i.e anchor
points must be securely attached to a stud or masonry. It is NOT
recommended that this unit is installed into Drywall Only.
Step 2: Loosely screw the wall support (Part 5) into the wall
using the wall screw (7) and washer. Use wall plug (8) if you are
fixing into Masonry. Do no tighten full. (Top: The mini screw hole
in the side of the wall support (5) should be facing the floor
Step 3: Adjust wall support and, with the aid of a spirit-level,
tighten
Step 4: Through the bars of the radiator, align the bracket
securing part (3) with the bracket stem and wall support (4).
Manoeuvre the rail back towards the wall. Once fitted, tighten
the Bracket Assembly Screw (2)
Step 5: Insert the Bracket Securing Screw (6) to secure. Fit the
cover caps (1) to finish
Cleaning:
-Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaners to clean the
radiators as this will cause damage to the surface finish. Please
use warm water and a damp cloth.
- Do not clean when hot.
