Device description (buttons and connections)
Base Station:
Important note for the use of the emergency call system in the apartment
The GSM emergency call device NR-03 has an intelligent control for the built-in
microphone and the loudspeaker.
To prevent feedback (feedback occurs when the microphone picks up the sound of the
loudspeaker and then forwards it to the caller, whose microphone in the phone would
then pick up the sound from its own speaker, and so the sound would go on forever run
the round, which then leads to a loud beep, a feedback).

To prevent this, the microphone and speakers are controlled electronically up and down.
If e.g. the called person speaks into their phone, the sound is output from the speaker of
the NR-03. At this moment, the microphone in the NR-03 down regulated, so it does not
come back to feedback.
As soon as the person called does not speak anymore and the loudspeaker in the NR-03
does not have to spend any more, the microphone raises its sensitivity again. Now voices
can be clearly understood from a distance of 3-4 meters in the telephone of the called
person. It is therefore important in the use of the emergency call system that is spoken
consecutively, with 1-2 seconds each break in between, so the electronics can perform
the necessary settings and you can talk in usable quality.
The NR-03 is suitable for home and on the road. At home, the black device is plugged
into the charging cradle so that it is always supplied with mains power. The collar and
bracelet transmitters only serve to start the emergency call device and establish a
connection. For this purpose, these transmitters send a short radio signal to the receiver,
which is located in the base of the charging cradle. As soon as the radio signal is received
for 3 seconds, the emergency call device starts its connection. Since the collar and
bracelet transmitter are only rarely used they can be used with a battery for about 2
years, the replacement battery type 27A, you can order in the online shop of your
retailer or shop.amg-alarmtechnik.de.
Note:
The GSM reception depends on the used SIM card. If you do not receive a
service with a network provider, please use another provider.
For the correct operation of the GPS module, the device should be located
outdoors.
Preparation
SIM cards size:
To use the GPS emergency transmitter, a micro SIM card is required (no nano or
standard SIM size!
Note:
Please note that a prepaid card will be disabled after a period of inactivity. Depending on
the provider, this is the case after 3, 6 or 12 months.
To avoid the automatic deactivation of the SIM card, costs have to be incurred once a
month.
Remove SIM card PIN:
Before inserting the SIM card, make sure that it no longer needs a PIN request. If
necessary, the SIM card must be inserted in a mobile phone and the PIN query
deactivated there. The procedure varies depending on the phone manufacturer and can
be requested in the manual or from the manufacturer.

Inserting the SIM card:
Open the housing by loosening the 3 screws on the back of the device and carefully pull
apart the two halves of the housing. Slide the metal bracket inward and fold it up. Insert
the micro SIM card into the slot, close the metal bracket, and slide the bracket outward
so that the SIM card is secure.
Then plug both halves together again. Make sure that the halves are placed straight on
top of each other. Finally, secure the housing through the 3 loosened screws.
Blue SIM credits charge
There are several ways to charge the SIM card. We will now list these and briefly
describe how the procedure is.
1. ATMs, here you can recharge your credit (for more information about the career,
please ask an employee of the bank branch). If the charge was successful you will
receive an SMS, it is important to put the SIM card in a mobile phone, so that the
credit is booked on.
2. Online charging, here you have to go to Blau.de and then follow the steps until a
code is sent via SMS, which in turn must be entered online. For this purpose, the
SIM card must be placed in a cell phone, so that one receives the SMS and can
enter the code in the online portal of Blau.de.
3. Prepaid charging, here you have to remove the card and place it in a cell phone,
then follow the instructions step by step.
BLUE SIM ONLY USE IN GERMANY
Connection of the base station
Connect the USB cable to the power supply and to the connector on the charging cradle.
The red light on the front of the base station then lights up at a loss. Place the GPS
emergency transmitter in the base station so that the red light illuminates brightly. The
GPS emergency transmitter will now charge.
Teaching sensors
Note: The sensors are delivered factory-installed.
To teach in a sensor, just press the button on the back of the base station once and then
trigger the radio signal from the sensor by pressing the emergency button. If the sensor
has been learned correctly, you will hear a beep from the base station each time it is
triggered.
Delete all learned sensors
To clear all sensors, press and hold the teach-in button on the back of the base station
for more than 5 seconds, then all sensors are deleted from the device and can be re-
taught.

App AMG MessageDirect for programming the NR-03
All SMS commands can also be sent via this app, as this app facilitates the programming
of the NR-03, since the commands do not have to be written manually in the SMS /
Messaging app of the smartphone.
Please select in the app NR-02 / -03, save the number of the Sim card, which is in the
NR-03 and then you can select from the list the SMS commands.
For normal operation, you only need to save the phone number (s) to be called
/ notified by SMS in the event of an alarm and the time zone (see below).
Please only perform the programming with the menu "NR-02/03", any other
menu can lead to a faulty setting of the device and cause high costs for your
SIM card.
Note for the formatting of any command SMS
No spaces may be used. Before sending a command text message, please check that
there is no space by using the smartphone function: "auto-complete" or "auto-
correction".

Setting the time zone
The time zone of the device can be set with the following command and depends on the
Coordinated Universal Time (abbreviation UTC).
The command is TZ immediately followed by the desired modifier, two digits with + and -
before.
For the German summer time is the order: TZ + 02
For the German winter time it is: TZ + 01
The correct time display requires the connection to the GPS satellite. Subsequently, the
time automatically adjusts itself correctly based on the time zone.
Power saving settings
You can choose between 2 different modes.
Send PS1 as SMS text to the GPS emergency transmitter. This mode is preset.
In this mode, SMS and calls can be received. The GPS chip works only when a position
change takes place. If the emergency transmitter is not moved, it saves electricity.
If an emergency call is issued, the current position is transmitted immediately.
Send MODE4 as SMS text to the GPS emergency transmitter to increase the battery life.
In this mode, SMS and calls can be received. The GPS chip is put in a "sleep mode",
which increases the battery life. As soon as the SOS button is pressed, the GPS position
search starts and the GPS is put back into the energy-saving mode after successful
locating.
If an emergency call is issued, the SMS command LOC must be sent to the emergency
transmitter to get the current position.
Fall sensor
The main module of the NR-03 has an integrated case sensor, which can optionally be
activated via SMS command (and deactivated again).
This fall sensor makes it possible to automatically drop off an SMS, or an SMS and a call
to all programmed subscribers when the carrier falls. The SMS will send a Google Maps
link with the last available position.
Please note that a fall sensor is a very inaccurate type of triggering, it can not be
guaranteed that the fall sensor triggers in any emergency, usually a drop height of 1m
and a change in position of the sensor of 45 ° is specified as a trigger criterion.
Functionality:
As soon as the case has been registered, the device starts to beep at short intervals, in
the case of an unwanted trip you now have the option of canceling the alarm by pressing
the SOS button. Otherwise, depending on the setting, an SMS with the message "Fall
Down Alert!" And a Google Maps link of the last ascertainable position, or the SMS and a
call to all programmed subscribers will be sent.

SMS commands:
The command to control the fall sensor consists of the abbreviation FL followed by the
desired function, and in the case of FL1 optionally a comma and the desired sensitivity.
The functions are as follows:
0 = switch off sensor (standard)
1 = SMS
2 = SMS and call
Sensitivity can only be set with FL1, with FL2 the additional call is activated, or if the fall
sensor was deactivated, it is activated with the last used sensitivity level.
Once the call function is activated, the sensitivity can be changed with
FL1,[Sensitivity] without deactivating the call.
To deactivate the call again, the fall sensor with FL0 must first be deactivated and can
then be reactivated with FL1, or FL1,[Sensitivity].
Sensitivity can be set from 1 to 9, where 1 is the most sensitive setting and 9 is the
most insensitive, default on delivery 5.
We recommend initially setting the sensitivity to 1 and only gradually reducing it when
there is an increase in unwanted alarms.
Example:
To activate the sensor with SMS sending and maximum sensitivity, the command is:
FL1,1
To activate the sensor with SMS for the last programmed sensitivity, the command is:
FL1
To activate the sensor with call and SMS for the last programmed sensitivity, the
command is:
FL2
To turn off the sensor, the command is:
FL0
battery alarm
If the battery level falls below 20% of its capacity, a message will be sent to the stored
SOS numbers. The battery should then be charged at the next opportunity.
To turn this function on, send the command: Low1
To turn it off again, send: Low0

deactivate the GPRS data connection.
Please check afterwards with the SMS command G1 the current data settings, here you
should see if GPRS is switched on (1), or off (0).
If it is on (1), please send the SMS command "S0", so that the connection is switched off
again.
Please also look at the green LED, when the device establishes a data connection, it
flashes twice briefly every 3 seconds, instead of just once.

Error Description
Solution
The base station sounds a beep without being triggered
Presumably, external signals have been taught in, please
delete all learned signals (see page 8) and learn the radio
transmitters again, making sure that no foreign signals
register in the base
After changing / inserting the SIM card, the device does
not log in
Presumably the device was not correctly switched off
when removing / inserting the SIM card, please restart
the device (see page 9) and make sure that the device is
always completely switched off before removing a SIM
card.
The device sends wrong GPS coordinates
Presumably, the device has not yet been able to establish
a sufficient connection to the GPS satellite network,
please try to trigger the black handset under the open
sky. Note: for the GPS positioning a visual connection to
the sky is necessary, otherwise the device sends the last
known position, depending on the setting of the energy
saving mode, this can be very old, therefore is in the SMS
always the time (date, time) on this Position was
determined.
