Amino 140 Reflash Image Procedure from a USB Stick
A software image from a USB storage device can be installed onto the Amino 140 STB. This feature is available on Ax4x
STBs with an installed recovery image of version 2.8.1 or higher.
After reflasing the Amino you will need to re-install the Proxy License and setup the Home Page and Proxy profiles.
1. Insert a USB Stick into a PC
2. Point your browser to http://qvidium.com/a140/ and click on the link that looks something like
X.X.X-Ax4x-opera11-qvidium-XXX-XX-201X.mcfs file and use the browser’s “Save As” method to save the file to
the USB as
Ax4x.mcfs
3. Safely remove the USB stick from PC.
4. Ensure power is disconnected from the STB.
5. Insert the USB Stick into the Amino 140.
6. Press the reset button near the USB connector.
7. Connect power while you are still pressing the button.
8. Release the button when the 'Amino' splash screen appears.

9. After a minute or so you should see two or three screens like the following.
10. Wait about 1 minute until the system reboots.

11. You should see the following screen in about a minute.
12. Point your browser to the Amino’s IP address and click on the System/Home Page link.
13. Enter udp://@127.0.0.1:1234 and click on the Change Home Page button.
14. Point your browser to the System/Version link and copy the Serial Number into an email.
15. Point your browser to the Proxy/Register link and copy the Identification into the same email.
16. Email [email protected] the Serial Number and Identification.
17. We will email you back a license file to install with the Proxy/Register link.
18. Point your browser to System/Reboot to restart the Amino.
