TheAmprobeACF3000AKisanACcurrentprobeutilizingRogowski
principle.TheAmprobeACF3000AKcanbeusedtomeasureACcurrent
upto3000AwhenusedwithaDMM,oscilloscope,orotherrecording
instruments.Theflexiblemeasuringheadallowscurrentmeasurementson
conductorsthatarehardtoreachorinaccessibleusingtypicalclamp-on
currentprobes.
TheAmprobeACF3000AKprovidesalow-voltage,(3VAC),output
proportionaltothecurrentbeingmeasured.Threeselectableranges
providedirectreadingsfor30A,300A,and3000Afullscale.


4 OPERATION

4.1 BATTERYINSTALLATION

Neverreplacebatterieswithflexiblemeasuringheadinstalledon
conductortobetestedoroutputconnectedtoadisplaydevice.
Neveroperatetheunitwithoutthebatterycoverfitted.
TheAmprobeACF3000AKrequirestwoAAMN1500LR6alkaline
batteriesforoperation.Thebatterycompartmentisaccessedfromthe
rearoftheelectronicsenclosure.

ThebatteriesmustbereplacedwhentheLEDislitcontinuouslyorfailsto
lightup.EnsurethattheAmprobeACF3000AKcurrentprobeisaway
fromanycurrentcarryingconductorandtheoutputisdisconnectedfrom
anyotherequipment.

Usingacoinorasimilartoolturnthebatterylock¼turnuntilthedot
alignswiththeunlocksymbol.Thebatterycovercannowberemoved.
Installthebatteriesensuringthatcorrectpolarityisobserved.Replacethe
batterycoverandturnthebatterylockuntilthedotalignswiththelock
symbol.



Ensureconductortobetestedisdeenergised.

ConnecttheoutputoftheelectronicstotheVOLTSinputoftheDMMor
otherdatarecordingdevice.

Theflexiblecurrentprobeisnotforuseonconductorswitha
potentialofover600V.


Wraptheflexiblemeasuringheadaroundtheconductortobetested,
closecoupling.Energizecircuitundertest.Formostaccurate
measurement,centertheflexibleheadaroundconductor.Locatecoupling
awayfromnearbyconductors.


Donotusetheflexiblecurrentprobetomeasurebare
conductorsunlesswearingprotectiveclothingsuitablefor
highvoltagework.Alwaysuseappropriateequipmentfor
personalprotection.




4.3 OPERATION

SelecttheACVOLTSrangeontheDMM(orotherdevice).
Toactivateunit,moveswitchfromthe“off”positiontotherequired
measuringrange.Ifthevalueofcurrentbeingmeasuredisunknown,first
selectthe3000Arangeandthenreduceaccordingly.


4.4 BATTERYSTATUS

BatterystatusisindicatedbyanLEDonthefrontoftheprobe.ThisLED
willflashonetimewhentheunitisactivated.ThelengthoftimetheLEDis
litwillincreaseasbatterylifedecreases.MomentarylightingofLED
indicatesbatteriesaregood.ContinuouslightingofLEDindicateslow
battery,replacebatteriessoon.NolightingofLEDindicatesbatteriesare
dead,replaceimmediately.


5 MAINTENANCE
DonotusetheAmprobeACF3000AKifdamaged.

Alwaysinspecttheelectronicsunit,connectingcable,andflexible
measuringheadfordamagebeforeuse.

Toavoidelectricshock,keeptheAmprobeACF3000AKcleanandfreeof
surfacecontamination.UseIsopropylAlcoholtocleantheelectronicsunit
andmeasuringhead.

Makesuretheflexiblemeasuringhead,connectingcable,andelectronics
enclosurearedrybeforefurtheruse.


principeRogowski.Quandilestcombinéàunmultimètrenumérique,un
oscillographeouunautreinstrumentenregistreur,leAmprobeACF3000
AKpeutêtreutilisépourlamesured’intensitésdecourantjusqu’à3000A.
Latêteflexiblepermetlamesuremêmesurdesconducteursdifficilement
accessibles,voiretotalementinaccessiblesavecdespincesdecourant
conventionnelles.

LeAmprobeACF3000AKprésenteunesortiedetension(tension
alternativede3V)proportionnelleàl’intensitéàmesurer.Troisplagesde
courantpermettentlalecturedirecte:30-A,300-Aou3000-A.

