1Precautions for Storing and Charging the Battery
Iftheproductorbatteryhasbeensubmergedunderwater,donotattemptto
dryitbyheaterormicrowave.
(Incaseofwaterdamage,ifthelabelinsidethePDAchangescolor,youwillnotbeableto
receivefreecustomerserviceforrepair,sopleasebecareful.)
Ensurethatnecklaces,coins,etc.doesnotcontactthebattery’sconnection
terminal(themetalplatepart).
Ifyoudonotusethebatteryforacertainperiodoftime,youmustchargeit
first,andthenstoreitinroomtemperature.Thiswillensurethatthebattery’s
capacityanddurabilityareunaffected.
Evenwhenthebatteryisfullycharged,usagetimeforachargemayshorten
duetoloweredvoltagegeneratedfromtheusageoftheproduct.
Useonlyoriginalorauthenticbatteriesandadaptors,anddonotusethemfor

1.5 Attaching / Detaching the Battery
Attaching the Battery
1After placing the battery into battery compartment and pressing the
bottom part of the battery, the battery detachment button will pop up
and will lock into position.
2After locking the battery into position, attach the battery cover by
sliding it upwards.
Detaching the Battery
1When detaching the battery cover, press the detach button.
2After detaching from the battery case, separate the battery from the
case by pressing the detach button and using the groove at the
bottom lefthand corner.
•Detachthebatteryonlyafteryouturnofftheproduct.
•Abruptlyturningofftheproductmaycausedamage,andyoumaylosesaveddata.

1.6 Charging the Battery
Charging with the Cradle
1As shown in the picture, connect the adaptor to the top side of the
cradle where the power port is.
2Once you place the PDA in the cradle, push it until you hear a “click”.
3When charging the extra battery, place it in the cradle where the
extra battery charging space is and press it until you hear a “click”.
•Thebatteryisnotchargedwhenyoufirstpurchaseaproduct.Pleasechargeitformore
than48hoursbeforeusingit.
•IfthePDAhasnotbeenusedforalongperiodoftimeyoumustchargethebatteryfor48
hoursormore.
•WhenthePDAandextrabatteryareattachedtogethertothecradle,thePDAwillcharge
beforetheextrabattery.

Charging with the I/O port
1In order to charge your PDA directly with the adaptor, you have to
connect the DC jack gender to the I/O port.
TheDCjackgenderisanoptionalitem.
2As shown in the picture, identify the top and the bottom of the
connector connected with the adaptor, and insert it into the I/O port
for power connection of the PDA while pressing the buttons on both
sides of the connector.
3After charging it completely, separate the PDA and adaptor by
pressing the buttons on both sides of the connector.
UsethespecifiedadaptorforthePDA.
The9V3AadaptormustonlybeusedwiththisPDA.IfyouuseitwithothersPDAs
withlessvoltage,itmightcausedamageorexplosion,andcanloweritsdurability.

1.7 About Batteries
WhenthePDAandextrabatteryareattachedtogetherinthecradle,theextra
batterychargesafterthePDAiscompletelycharged.Therefore,itmayneed
extratimeinordertochargetheextrabatterywhenthePDAandextra
batteryareplacedtogetherinthecradle.

•WhentheChargeAlertLamponthecradleblinksorange,youmustdetachthebattery
andplaceitagain.Thiswilloccurwhenthebatteryisnotproperlyattachedtothecradle.
•Sincebatteriesareconsumablegoods,themaximumtimeyoucanusethePDAwill
graduallydecreaseovertime.Iftheusagetimedropsinhalfwerecommendthatyou
purchaseanewbattery.
