MOUNTING THE DEVICE
WALL-MOUNT INSTALLATION
If you have purchased the wall-mounted version, the wall mount bracket would have come
pre-installed onto the device.
To mount on the wall, use the appropriate screws (4) and wall anchors (4) for the type of wall material
you are mounting the device to (screws and wall anchors not provided).
1. Use a screwdriver to loosen the two screws on the sides of the bracket (image A)
2. Remove the device from the bracket by sliding the bracket up or down from the device (image
B).
3. Locate an area on the wall where you want to install the device (be sure to follow the
installation guidelines as mentioned before). Using a pencil and the bracket as a guide, mark
the 4 holes that will need to be drilled into the wall.
Note: The bracket can be positioned in either orientation depending on how you want to
position the wire cable (image D).
4. Drill the 4 holes on the wall and put the wall anchors inside the holes.
5. Position the flat side of the bracket against the wall and use screws to secure it into place
(image C).
8

6. Hang the device onto the bracket by sliding it up or down onto the bracket (image E).
7. With a screwdriver, tighten the two screws on the sides of the brackets to secure the device
into place (image A).

ANDALINK
The Andalink is a secure, cloud-based software that bridges the AccessPoint FRX with a complete
data management system. With Andalink, company and OH&S managers can register users and
faces, as well as view, download, and manage reports for their employees' attendance and
temperature results. The AccessPoint FRX can also be used with visitor or guest mode, perfect for
conducting temperature screening and automating entrypoint access in public places and high traffic
areas such as hospitals, government buildings, tourist attractions and schools.

ABOUT TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION
The Temperature Calibration is required to evaluate and adjust the precision and accuracy of the
AccessPoint FRX's temperature measurements.
TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION PROCEDURE
To perform a Temperature Calibration, a calibration operator stands in front of the AccessPoint FRX
and faces the camera. The device will then take their temperature and use that as the guideline for
'normal body temperature'.
Note: It is recommended that the calibration operator first check their body temperature (e.g. with a
separate accurate, reliable handheld thermometer) to make sure that it
is normal (within 36~36.5°C) before performing the Temperature
Calibration.
ADMIN TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION (ON DEVICE
STARTUP)
Each time the device is switched on, it takes 10 minutes to warm up and
will then require a Temperature Calibration.
This can only be performed by an Admin (set in Andalink).
Note: The device will auto-restart daily at 4AM (device time) by default.
Any software updates are done automatically during restart as long as
your device is connected to the internet.
INTERVAL TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION
During normal operation, the device will also require a Temperature
Calibration at regular intervals (recommended / default setting: 60
minutes).
When the device requires Temperature Calibration, the Thermal
Imaging Display will turn completely orange and the Notification Box will
show 'Please contact calibration operator' if anyone attempts to take a
test.
A normal test cannot be taken until a calibration operator performs the
Temperature Calibration.
MANUAL TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION
If a temperature calibration is needed outside of its regular interval
period (e.g. temperatures seem too high or too low, or is measuring
inconsistently), a manual temperature calibration can be performed.
11

To do this, connect a mouse to the device and enter the Device Settings Menu > Temperature
Calibration and click on 'Start Manual Calibration'. Then, follow the steps under 'Temperature
Calibration Procedure'.
CALIBRATION OPERATORS
By default, only an Admin user (set in Andalink) can conduct the
Interval and Manual Temperature Calibration.
The calibration operator for these can be changed to a non-Admin (any user) under Advanced
Settings (Temperature) by un-ticking the checkbox for 'Temperature calibration by operator only'.
Refer to Advanced Settings (Temperature) for more information.
Note: The calibration operator for Admin Temperature Calibration (on device startup) can only be an
Admin. This cannot be changed in Advanced Settings.
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION
If ambient temperature calibration is enabled (under ‘Temperature’ settings), the device will check the
environment / ambient temperature and self-calibrate.
Note:
● The device may ask for a manual calibration (with a calibration operator) if high temperature
fluctuations are detected in the environment.
● The initial temperature calibration on device startup will still require a calibration by body
temperature (requires a calibration operator to be physically present).
12

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the device's instructions shown in the Notification Area when taking a test.
1. 'Face camera. Keep face inside the frame'
Stand in front of the device, face the camera and position face within the Facial Recognition
Frame shown on the LCD display.
Note: Be sure to follow the Facial Recognition Guidelines when facing the camera.
2. Device will analyse the results and display them in the Notification Area.
a. If the temperature reading is above the Body Temperature Limit, an alert will sound
and the test procedure ends.
b. If the temperature reading is below the Body Temperature Limit, the test will proceed
to the next step.
Note: Body Temperature Limit is set under Advanced Settings.
3. Results are synced to Andalink immediately after each test (if device is connected to the
internet).
4. A new user can take another test immediately by repeating from Step 1.
