avoid the hot surfaces including the housing around the outside of
the barrel coming into direct contact with the skin, in particular the
eyes, ears, face and neck.

5
WARNING! Keep out of the reach of children at all times. This
appliance reaches high temperatures and can take time to cool
down, even after it has been switched off. Always ensure the
appliance has cooled down completely before storing away. Do not
leave unattended when switched on, plugged in or cooling down.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Select a heat setting by adjusting the dial on the handle. Always
start on a low setting and increase it if required.
• If you have delicate, fine or coloured hair, use the lower heat
settings. For thicker hair, use the higher heat settings.
• Plug the appliance into a suitable mains socket.
• Press the“I”on button; the‘on’indicator will illuminate and will flash
until the required temperature is reached.
• Allow the appliance to heat up. Only ever place on a flat, level
heatproof surface using the integrated heat rest. Do not place the
appliance on any heat sensitive surface.
• Section dry hair evenly, and comb through before styling.
• Press the thumb rest to lift the ‘spoon’ away from the tong barrel.
• Take a section of hair and place the tong barrel midway up the
hair section, taking care not to touch the hot surfaces of the tong.
• When the hair is in place, release the thumb rest to close the spoon
against the tong barrel.
• Gently slide the tong down the hair section stopping just short
of the end.
• Wind the tong up the hair as far as you want it curled, making sure
to spread the hair evenly all along the full length of the tong barrel,
not just in one place. Be careful not to let the tong barrel touch
your scalp or your face.
• To avoid crimped ends do not wind the clamped hair back over
the spoon; wind the clamped hair around the barrel first.
• Hold in place for 5-8 seconds, being careful not to let the tong
touch the scalp or face.
• Remove the tong from the hair without disturbing the curl, press
the thumb rest to release the spoon and pull the tong straight out
of the hair without sliding it down the hair section.
• Repeat as required.

6
• For tighter, bouncier curls, wind less hair round the tong. For looser
curls, wind more hair round the tong.
• Press the “O” off button to switch off after use.
STYLING TIPS
To achieve long lasting curls, as you tong each section of hair, spray
hairspray onto the section before curling. Hold the hair in the tong
for several seconds. When you release the hair, without touching
the tong barrel, try to keep the curl in an “O” as though it is still
wrapped round the tong and clip it close to the head. Don’t take
the clips out until your hair is totally cold. Spritz the curls lightly with
more hair spray but don’t over do it or you’ll weigh the curls down.
AUTO OFF
As an additional safety feature if left on by mistake, the appliance
automatically switches off after around 60-72 minutes. Do not
use this feature instead of switching off after use. Do not leave
unattended when switched on, plugged in or cooling down.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
The appliance may require cleaning due to build up of residue from
hair styling products.
• Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool.
• Slightly moisten a cloth and wipe the surface of the barrel and
the spoon.
• Make sure the tong has dried thoroughly before re-using.
IMPORTANT! Do not immerse the appliance in water or other
liquids.
