KNOW YOUR ELECTRIC CORDLESS KETTLE
BEFORE USING YOUR ELECTRIC CORDLESS KETTLE
If you are using the kettle for the first time, it is recommended to clean the kettle before use
by boiling the kettle with MAX. capacity of water once, and then discarding the water and
rinse it again with fresh water from the tap. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
NOTE: The MAX capacity of kettle is 1.5L.
USING YOUR ELECTRIC CORDLESS WATER KETTLE
1. Place the kettle on a flat stable surface.
2. To fill water into the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by lifting up
the lid. Fill with the desired amount of water to the kettle. Always fill the kettle between
the MIN. (0.5L) and MAX. (1.5L) fill marks. Too little water will result in the kettle
switching OFF prematurely before the water has boiled.
NOTE: Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout
when boiling. Ensure that the lid is firmly pushed down in place before connecting into a
power outlet socket.
3. Position the kettle on the power base.
4. Connect the supply power cord plug into a mains power outlet. Press the power switch
down and its indicator will light up, and then the kettle starts to boil the water. The kettle
will switch OFF automatically and the indicator will turn OFF once the water has boiled. To

5
re-boil the water again, wait for 30 seconds. This will allow the thermostat to reset, before
pressing the power switch again to re-boil the water. You may shut OFF power to the kettle
by just lifting the kettle from the power base at any time to stop the boiling process.
NOTE: Ensure that switch is free of obstructions and the lid is firmly closed. The kettle will
not turn OFF if the switch is constrained or if the lid is opened.
5. Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water carefully.
NOTE: Proceed with caution when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water may
result in scalding. It is important not to open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
6. The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again. The kettle may be stored on
the power base when not in use.
NOTE: Always disconnect from mains power outlet socket when not in use.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection circuit
will automatically switch OFF power to the kettle. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool
down for few minutes prior to filling with cold water.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains power outlet and allow it to cool down
completely before cleaning.
1. Never immerse the kettle body, power cord or power base in water, or allow moisture to
come in contact with these parts.
2. Wipe the kettle body with a damp cloth, never use abrasive cleaners.
CAUTION: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of
the kettle to prevent damage to the glossy surface.
3. When not in use or during storage, the power cord should be wound under the power base.
REMOVAL OF MINERAL DEPOSITS
Your kettle should be periodically descaled as the mineral deposits in tap water may form
scale on the bottom of kettle and this may cause it to operate less efficiently. You can use
commercially available descaling solution by following the instructions supplied with the

6
product. Alternatively, you may follow below instructions using white vinegar.
1. Mix 3 cups of white vinegar with 1 cup of water in a separate container. Pour the mixer
into the kettle until it covers the bottom of the kettle completely, not more than MIN level
mark on the kettle. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.
2. Discard the mixture in the kettle. Fill the kettle with clean water to MAX. water level,
boil and then discard the water. Repeat this several times until the odour of vinegar has been
flushed. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be removed by rubbing with a damp cloth.
