A. Battery electricity icon displays no electricity.
B. Player refuses to power on.
C. Player functions normally, but it quickly powers off automatically.
D. There is no response when pressing the keys.

Chapter 1. Introduction
Thanks for your purchase of Apacer
Audio Steno MP3 Player.
Before operating the unit, please read this manual thoroughly and keep it for future
reference. This manual will help you learn to use many of the exciting features of
this product and make your player experience more enjoyable.
This manual contains important safety measures and operational information, so
please read all the information carefully before you use the device in order to avoid
any unexpected accidents.

Chapter 5. Basic Function
zPowering On/ Off
Power on:
Push the key to “POWER” side to turn on the player.
Power off:
Push and hold the key to “POWER” side to turn off the player.
zHold Function
Follow the below steps to enable the Hold function to avoid accidental key
presses and operation.
z Hold on: push the key to “HOLD” side direction to lock the player.
zHold off: push the key to the reverse direction of “HOLD”.
Note: Once the Hold function is enabled, it will prompt LOCKED signal when
pressing any key.
zCharging the Battery
1. Connect the USB cable to your MP3 player, and then connect the other end
of the USB cable to the USB port on your PC.
2. The battery icon will display the impulse, after the charging, the battery
electricity will shows full grids.
3. It takes about 3 hours to fully charging the battery . Excessive charging or
discharging may shorten the battery’s life.
Note!
Fully charge the rechargeable battery before using the player for the first time or
when it has not been used for a while.
The player cannot perform Music playing function when charging the battery.

zConnect Computer and Data File Transmission
1. Connect the USB cable to your MP3 player, then connect the other end of
the USB cable to the USB port on your PC.
2. Select and organize the files and folders in preparation for transfer to your
MP3 player.
Note: All keys are disabled when the player is connected to the PC. Don’t press any
keys during data transfer
zA-B Replay Function
1. Play a file of your choice
2. Press the key at the beginning of the section you want to repeat.
The starting point is set and the “ A ” icon will appear in the screen display
window.
3. Press the key again to set the ending of the section you want to
repeat. “ A → B ” will appear in the screen and the specified section will begin
to play repeatedly.
4. Press the key again during the section to cancel the section repeat
function.
zVolume Control
In the Music playing mode, short press the or key to increase or
decrease the volume. Hold the key to continually increase or decrease the volume.

Chapter 6. System Menu
zMain menu setup
1. Press and hold the key to enter the main menu from standby or
playing mode.
2. Press the or key to select: Music; Voice; FM; Settings; Delete Files.
3. Press the key to enter into the following settings:
zMusic Mode
See Listen to Music section.
zVoice Mode
Voice Recording
1. Select “Voice” option in the Main menu, press the key to enter.
2. Press the key to start recording, the LCD screen will show as
following.
3. Press the key to pause recording, the pause symbol “ ” appears in
the screen, press the key again to continue.
4.
Press the key to stop the recording and save the voice file
automatically and names it as ‘Vxxx.WAV’.
zFM Tuner Mode
See Listen to FM Radio section.

Chapter 7. Listen to Music
zPlaying music
1. Turn on the player, select “Music Mode” option in the
Main menu, then press the key to enter into the
music submenu mode.
2. Choose <Songs> option, press the key to select Play All or the track
name of all tracks (MP3 & WMA).
3. Press the key to play an MP3 file, press the key again to
pause.
Play Pause
4. In music playing/pause/idle mode, press the or key to select the
previous or next track.
5. In playing mode, press and hold the or key to fast rewind or fast
forward the current track.
6. Press and hold the key to return to main menu.
Note:
Five Play Modes for selection:
Songs: When viewing all music files (MP3 & WMA), press the or keys
to select Play All or the track name of all tracks, then press the key
to confirm.＊
Favorites: When viewing the favorites music list, press the or key to
select Play All or the favorites track name, then press the key to
confirm.
Favorites song editing:
Enter the Songs list, press the or key to select your favorite song, then
press the key, the screen displays the picture below:
Use the or key to select the or option, then press the
key to confirm your selection. If you select the option, the current song will
be added to the Favorites list, select to cancel editing.
Note:Max 30 music tracks can be added to your favorites list.
Delete Favorite song:
Enter into Favorites, press or key to select one song, then press key,
the screen display below picture:

Use or key to select or option, then press key to confirm
your selection. If you select option, the current song will be deleted from
Favorites list, selection to cancel delete.
Artist: Viewing list of all artists by ID3-Tag, press the or key to select
Play All or the artist name of the tracks, then press the key to
confirm.
Album: Viewing all music album list by ID3-Tag, press the or key to
select Play All or the album name of the tracks, then press the key to
confirm.
FM Record: Viewing list of all FM Record voice files, press or key to
select the name of all FM Record files, then press key to confirm.
Play All: Play all music files on the device.
Under Songs, Favorites, Artist, Album, FM Record mode:
** Use the or key to scroll through folders/tracks.
zLyrics Display
1. Save lyrics files into your MP3 player with the same name as the music file,
in *.LRC format.
2. The lyric of the music will display with the music playing.
The player only supports the Lyric Synchronous Display for files that share the same
name as the MP3 format file, e.g., for a music file named “Angel.mp3”, the LRC file
must be named “Angel.Irc”, they must also be in the same directory.

Chapter 8. Listen to FM Radio
The frequency range from 87.5 to 108 MHz.
zListen to FM Radio
1. Select “FM” option in the Main menu, press the key to enter.
2. Press the or key to manually select frequency channels.
3. Hold the or key to search frequency automatically, and system will stop
when detecting one channel from a strong power station.
zFM Channel Setting
1. In “FM ” mode, press or key to select one desired channel.
2. Press key to enter into ‘PRESET’ mode and the screen will display as
below:
3. Press or key to select desired saved channel number from 01 to 20.
4. Press key again to enter into ‘MEMORY’ mode and the screen will
display as below :
Press Previous key or Next key key to select one desired frequency.
5. Press key to confirm, and the station had been saved as your
selected channel.
zFM recording
1. In FM broadcasting status, press key to enter
into FM radio program record screen directly .
2. During FM recording, press key to pause or
resume.
3. Press key to stop FM recording.
zReview Stored Station
Supporse you have stored some stations on the player.
1. To review saved station, must press key to enter into ‘PRESET ’mode,
which allows you quick and easy access to your favorite saved station.
2. The first stored station will display, then press or key to find the other
stored stations.

Chapter 9. Settings mode
1. In the Main menu, press the or key to select
“Settings” option , press the key to enter.
2. Press the or key to select: Screen Save,
Language, Auto Power Off, Record Quality, Contrast, Play Mode,
Equalizer,System Info. ,Exit, press the key to enter.
zScreen Save setting
1. Select “Screen Save “ option in the Settings
menu, press key to enter.
2. Press the or key to select: “5s” or “10s”
or “20s” of “OFF”.
3. Press key to select and save.
zLanguage mode
1.
Select “Language” option in the Settings menu,
press the key to enter.
2. P ress the or key to select the desired language from these 12
languages: English, French, T.Chinese, Czech, Dutch, German, Thai, Italian,
Spanish, Russian, Polish & Portuguese
3. Press the key to save your selection.
zAuto Power off
1. Select “Auto Power Off “ option in the Settings
menu, press key to enter:
2. P ress the or key to select: OFF, 30 Sec,
1min, 2 min , 5 min option.
3. Press key to select and save.
zRecord Quality
1. Select “Record Quality“ option in the Settings
menu, press key to enter:
2. Press the or key to select: EP, LP, SP.
3. Press key to select and save.
zContrast
1. Select “Contrast” option in the Settings menu,
press key to enter:
2. Press
the or key to select your desired
value.

zPlay Mode
1. Select “Play Mode“ option in the Settings menu,
press key to enter:
2. Press the or key to select: Normal,
Repeat One, Repeat All, Shuffle, Repeat shuffle
3. Press the key to save your selection.
zEqualizer
1. Select “Equalizer“ option in the Settings menu,
press key to enter:
2. Press the or key to select your desired
EQ mode from 7 EQ options: Normal, Rock,
Bass, Jazz, Pop, Classical & Treble.
3. Press the key to save your selection.
zSystem Info.
1. Select “System Info.” option in the Settings menu,
press key to enter:
2. The screen will indicate firmware version and
memory capacity remaining.
3. Press any key to return to the Settings menu
zExit
Select “Exit“ option in the Settings menu to return
Main menu.

Chapter 10. Delete Files Mode
1. In the Main menu, press the or key to select “Delete Files” option , press the
key to enter.
2. Press the or key to select: Music; Voice; Exit,
press the key to enter
zDelete Music Files
1. Select “Music” option in the Delete Files menu,
press key to enter:
2. Press the or key to select a music file ,
then press the key to confirm.
3. P ress the or key to select:
“YES” to delete the current track.
“NO” to skip.
4. Press the key to confirm.
Note: Read-only files can be only deleted via your computer, it is not possible to
delete them from the player directly through the Delete Files function.
zDelete Voice Files
1. Select “Voice” option in the Delete Files menu, press key to enter:
2. Press or key to select “Voice “or “FM Record” option, then press
key to confirm.
3. The next operation is the same as delete music files.
zExit
Select “Exit“ option in the Delete Fiiles menu to return
Main menu.

Chapter 11. Troubleshooting
If a malfunction is experienced, check the following.
Problem Cause
zPower will not turn on Power will not turn on if the battery is fully
discharged. Recharge the battery and turn the
power on again.
zPower automatically turns off The power is automatically turned off when the
batter is fully discharged. Recharge the battery.
zThe screen will not turn on z The screen may not be visible under direct
sunlight.
z Check if you have selected the “Power Save”
setting.
zPlaying is disabled z Check if the desired file has been saved in
memory.
z Check if the music file is corrupt or the format is
not supported.
z Check if there is enough battery power.
zNo music display or no
sound
z Check that the volume has not been reduced to
the 0 level.
z Check that the earphones are connected well
and keep the earphones clean.
z Corrupted music files may result in unplayability,
please confirm the integrity of the files. Re-
format the disk.
zConnection to PC is disabled z Insert the USB cable well after the power is
turned on, or plug in the player again via USB
cable.
z Correctly reinstall the driver again.
zAbnormal Play Time
Displayed while Playing
Check if that the file is in VBR (Variable Bit Rate)
format
zActual memory capacity is
different from what is listed
on package
Small discrepancies are due to different file formats
and algorithms used by various operating systems.
zAbnormal wording or file
name display
Make sure that you have selected the correct
language.
zThe product is hot Heat may be generated during recharging. This has
no effect on product life or function.
