Auto-Adjust
The function can automatically adjust the mattress pressure based on the patient’s weight.
To remind user the process is on-going, the LED lights will periodically flash from left to right
until the Ready LED turns on permanently (the process is completed). Three conditions will
trigger this function to ensure the appropriate pressure setting for the patient.
A
Press the Auto-Adjust button for 2 seconds, system will automatically re-adjust the
pressure setting.
B
The system will automatically start Auto-Adjust immediately after the initial mattress
inflation is completed.
C
When the system detects a significant change in patient’s weight on the mattress (e.g.
patient Ingress) for a period of time, the system will automatically run the function
again.
NOTE: Once the system finishes the Auto-Adjust process, the system will automatically
switch to the alternating mode or revert to the previously set therapy mode.
NOTE: During the Auto-Adjust operation, it is normal that system will go through a series
of inflations and deflations.
NOTE: Check if the pressure is suitable for the patient by sliding one hand beneath the air
cells at the level of the patient's buttocks. Always leave at least 1
"
space between
patient and the static cell to prevent bottoming out.
2
TUNING
The Tuning function is to fine-tune the system auto-adjusted preset pressure. Three Tuning
levels are available. “0” is system auto-adjusted preset pressure. “+” is one level higher than
preset pressure, and “-” is one level lower than preset pressure.
NOTE: The Tuning function is only available in Alternate, Static and CLP mode.
NOTE: Always perform a hand-check after pressure setting to avoid patient bottoming
out.

3 Modes
This button allows you to choose one of the modes. There are seven selectable modes
available. Continually press the button to select a desired mode:
A Max Firm
The surface will go into Max Firm automatically when the power switch is turned on. This
ensures the pump is able to reach its maximum operating pressure. Once the max pressure
level is reached, the pump will automatically switch into Auto-Adjust mode. User can also
use this function during patient transfers or nursing procedures for better support. This
mode will last for 20 minutes and then it will return to previous setting automatically. To
disable this function, press Max Firm button again.
NOTE: Max Firm and preset function mode LED indicator will be on simultaneously during
initial mattress inflation until the mattress reaches its maximum pressure.
B Alternate Mode
Continuously and sequentially inflates and deflates air cells to achieve periodic pressure
relief and facilitate improved cellular perfusion.
C Static Mode/Continuous Low Pressure Mode
Static: Function LED indicator is flashing as non-alternating mode for 20 minutes
only. All of the cells are equally inflated for 20 minutes at lower pressure when
compared to the respective comfort level in alternative mode. The system will
automatically revert to previously set mode after 20 minutes.
Continuous Low Pressure Mode: Function LED indicator is steady-on as in
constantly non-alternating mode. The system will redistribute body mass over a
greater surface area at a constant low pressure. All of the air cells are equally
inflated at lower pressures when compared to the respective comfort level in
alternating mode.

Pro-care Auto / English 8
D Seat Inflation
In cases where patient needs to sit up or placed into Fowler’s position, this mode offers an
additional increase in the pressure of the whole mattress, better supporting the sacral area.
User can select this additional feature under either static, continuous low pressure, or
alternate mode. WARNING: The overlay mattress must be applied on an underlying mattress.
NOTE: Raise the Head-of-Bed no more than 30º to avoid excessive pressure on the sacral
region. Always perform hand-check to avoid bottoming-out.
4 Panel Lock
Should the panel remain untouched for 5 minutes, the Panel Lock feature will lock the panel
and a green LED light will display. This feature helps to prevent accidental or unintentional
setting changes. To unlock, press Panel Lock button for 3 seconds, and the green LED
indicator will begin to flash and count down again.
NOTE: User may press both and buttons simultaneously to change the
default setting from auto Panel Lock to manual panel lock only and vice versa.
5 Alarm Mute
Press Alarm Mute button to temporary suspend the low-pressure alarms. Should the problem
continue, the alarms will resound within 3 minutes to notify the caregiver until resolved.
A Low Pressure Indicator
When the pressure is below setting pressure, the Low Pressure indicator will light up along
with audio alarm. Please check whether the CPR is correctly installed and if all connections
are connected properly as per instructions. If the pressure level is consistently low, check
for any leakage (tubes or connecting hoses). If necessary, replace any damaged tubes or
hoses or contact local qualified dealer for repair.
NOTE: Even when pressing the Alarm Mute, the indicator light will stay on until the
problem is solved.
B PFA (Power Failure Alarm)
During a power failure situation, the Power Failure LED light and buzzer will activate. To
disable both buzzer and LED, press the mute button.
