I. Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your Aquaglide® Supersport™.
You are about to discover the fun and versatility of this unique craft.
To ensure the best possible experience, please take the time to read
carefully through this Owner’s Manual.
The Supersport™ is an inatable sailboat that converts easily for
optional use as a windsurfer. Compared to other sailboats, the
Supersport™ is lightweight, compact and very portable.
This manual has been compiled to help you safely use and enjoy
your Supersport™. It contains details about the vessel, all supplied
equipment and information regarding assembly, safe use and proper
maintenance. Read it carefully and make sure you are familiar with the
boat before you use it.
The operation of any vessel is a serious responsibility. Each operator
must be competent to “command the craft” including ensuring the safety
of his/ her vessel and its crew. If this is your rst vessel, or if you buy a
different type of boat you are not familiar with, please make certain you
have enough experience to handle and operate the craft. Your dealer,
local sailing center or national sailing association can all be useful
sources of information regarding local sailing schools, training and/or
competent sailing instructors.

D. Safety
Prior to departure, the skipper must familiarize himself with the vessel
and the route to the destination. The skipper is responsible for the safety
of the ship and its crew. The skipper must take all safety measures
which are required in cases of emergency. This applies not only to coast-
al waters but also for navigation in inland waterways. Above all: never
overestimate your own knowledge and skills. It is not a sign of weakness
to ask timely advice of experienced skippers, coast guard, marine police,
or similar entities.
Prior to departure, all crew should be informed about the intended route,
conditions and emergency procedures. It is also advisable to plan for,
and exercise a ‘man overboard’ drill. In case the skipper falls overboard
during the voyage, the crew will be informed about what actions to take.

B. General Design Category
The information in the Design Data Table is classied as a vessel design
category. Below you will nd an explanation of the design categories:
Category A
Ocean: Designed for extended voyages where conditions may exceed
wind force 8 (Beaufort scale) and signicant wave heights of 4 m and
above but excluding abnormal conditions, and vessels largely self-
sufcient.
Category B
Offshore: Designed for offshore voyages where conditions up to, and
including, wind force 8 and signicant wave heights up to, and including,
4 m may be experienced.
Category C
Inshore: Designed for voyages in coastal water, large bays, estuaries,
lakes and rivers where conditions up to, and including, wind force 6 and
signicant wave heights up to, and including, 2 m may be experienced.
Category D
Sheltered waters — Designed for voyages on sheltered coastal wa-
ters, small bays, small lakes, rivers and canals when conditions up
to, and including, wind force 4 and signicant wave heights up to,
and including, 0,3 m may be experienced, with occasional waves of
0,5 m maximum height, for example from passing vessels.
Note 1 :The signicant wave height is the average height of the
highest third of waves, which approximately corresponds to the
wave height estimated by an experienced observer. Some waves
may be twice as high.
Evidence of conformity (CE) is based on the European
Recreational Craft Directive (94/25/EC and 2003/44/EC). This direc-
tive is mainly focused on increasing trade between the Member
States of the European community. These include requirements
relating to stability and structure. These requirements are mini-
mum requirements. Nothing in this Act and/or standards relieve the
skipper/owner of his or her responsibility!
The granting of a category does not warrant that the craft performs
under all conditions in this category, as characteristic wave height
and wind can be safety hazards.

The following standard equipment is provided with each boat:
-Repair Kit, suitable for repairing small punctures of limited extent and
including instructions for use.
-Pump for maintaining the pressure in inated components.
E. Safety Equipment
Your Supersport™ Inatable Boat does not include any safety
equipment. The owner of the vessel needs to take care of equipping the
vessel for the anticipated conditions. Tips and instructions for necessary
safety equipment for your vessel can be obtained from your dealer, other
experienced skippers, the coast guard, marine police, and other similar
entities.

G. Inuence of Weight
Both shape and weight affect the stability of your Supersport™ Inatable
Boat. The shape is determined by the manufacturer, and cannot be
changed. The total weight is determined by the weight of the empty
vessel plus the additional weight of equipment and crew. In the case of
equipment and crew, the user must take responsibility to manage the
load so as not to adversely affect the stability of his/ her craft.
For reasons of safety and quality certication, the maximum accept-
able weight of cargo and crew is stated. On the builder’s plate, you
will nd the value of the maximum loading capacity of the craft. This
value indicates the mass that can be safely added to the ready for use

Supersport™ Inatable Boat (with full equipment). Depending on the
placement, this extra weight can inuence the sailing characteristics of
the craft to varying degrees. Place heavy objects as close as possible to
the centerline of the craft. Do not put too much weight in any one area,
particularly near the front, rear, or edges of the vessel. The applica-
tion of large amounts of mass at these sites may adversely affect the
handling. After loading the craft, the skipper must ensure that the stern
has not dropped more than 5cm below the waterline.

NOTE: Unless otherwise noted, do not mount any additional
accessories to the Supersport™ not already supplied by the
manufacturer specically for this purpose. Keep in mind that additional
accessories add weight, which must be accounted for in the load
capacity.
H. Speed, Range & Seamanship
As with any sailboat, the average speed at which the Supersport™
travels depends, to large extent, on the wind. However typical speed
rages from 1,0kt - 3,5kt. In the event of strong winds, the cruising speed
and sailing angles may be modied to manage the safety of the crew
and loading of equipment.
The cruising range (radius) of the Supersport™ depends on the
circumstances in which the vessel is used, however, the design
parameters limit safe use to daytime hours and local waters. A 6nm
range would be considered the extreme.
International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGs) and
good seamanship require that the operator of any vessel should be
aware of other vessels, and trafc rules at all times. Be sure there are
no other ships on your route before passage. The view from the main
steering position can be obstructed by:
• Loading and weight distribution
• Speed changes
• Sailing Conditions
• Rain- and bow water
• Dusk, dawn and fog
• Crew and equipment
I. Mooring, anchoring and towing
If on-water towing assistance is needed, the vessel should only be
towed by attaching the tow line securely to the reinforced tow tting at
the front of the hull. If the mast and sail are left upright, it is necessary to
steer the craft during towing.
Due to the design characteristics of the Supersport™, traditional
mooring and anchoring are not recommended. After use, it is best to
remove the craft from the water.
Removing the Supersport™ from the water is best done with two people;
one on each side of the boat. Each person should use a harness strap
to carry the vessel. Lift the Supersport™ from the water and set it down
carefully on soft grass or similar ground for drying and disassembly. In
a breeze, the best way to contain the boat is to tip it on its side, with the
top of the mast touching the ground, and facing away from the wind.
J. Warnings
• Read and understand the Owner’s Manual, including all warnings.
• When on the water, always wear an appropriate life vest (PFD) ap-
proved by the authorities in your country of use.
• Adverse conditions can put you in a life-threatening
situation. Conditions change rapidly, so be aware!
• Wear protective water shoes and/or a wetsuit when
necessary.
• Use the buddy system. Sailing with others is safer and more fun
than sailing alone.
• Keep clear of swimmers and other water users. Stay out of
swimming areas.
• When on the water, always stay with the Supersport™ hull. It
provides otation and visibility.
• Be sure to know the rules of marine navigation before you use
this product. For more information and/or training on these rules,
contact your local Coast Guard ofce or marine dealer.
• The crew must be given appropriate training on what to expect and
what to do in case of emergency.
• After falling in the water a risk of hypothermia exists. Hypothermia
can lead to death, even in moderate temperatures. This risk is
underestimated by many sailors.
• Breaking waves are a serious stability problem. Be aware of
changing conditions and their affect on the craft and its stability.
• There is a risk of drowning. Never use this product if you do not
know how to swim.
• Maximum sail area in Sailboat mode is 5.5 m2. Do not use with any
parts not designed by the manufacturer for use with this product.
• Maximum sail area in Windsurng mode is 9.0 m2. It is acceptable
for experienced skippers to use an aftermarket windsurng rig with
compatible mast base/ mast step.
• Proper working pressure is listed as 10.0 psi (0,69 bar). Do not use
without proper ination.
Caution
• Keep at least 3 m (10 ft) away from other boats,
docks, shore or any hard obstructions.
• Children must always be under adult supervision
• Always wear a properly tted life vest (PFD) approved by the
authorities in the country of use.
• Maximum weight capacity: 181 kg (400 lbs).
• Maximum number of users: 2.
Limitations
• Not for use by children under 5 years of age.
• Do not use in strong or offshore winds.
• Do not use in strong currents.
• Do not use in breaking waves.
• Do not use in conditions outside the ability of the skipper and crew.
IMPORTANT: The warning symbols on the following page apply to the
Supersport™ and may be attached to the vessel to indicate various
warnings, mandatory actions or prohibitions.

Prolonged exposure to salt water can damage and/or shorten the expected lifetime of
this product. The marine environment includes many damaging elements including
corrosion, abrasion and damage from marine life such as barnacles. Regular cleaning
and rinsing with fresh water can reduce these risks. A PVC-safe antifouling paint should
be used to help protect this product against marine growth. DAMAGE CAUSED BY
EXPOSURE TO SALT WATER IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.

III. Assembly - Sailboat
The best way to ensure a quick, efcient setup the rst time you go to
the water is to go through a preliminary assembly rst. This may take
up to an hour for some users. Once familiar, sailboat assembly typically
takes about 10-15 minutes. Much of the assembly can be left in-tact,
even in storage, simplifying assembly next time you use the craft.
1. Locate a at, dry area with no sharp or abrasive features. A patch of
grass or sandy beach near the water would work well. The best setup
position will also make launching easy. NOTE: Dragging or sliding the
Supersport™ over the ground either before or after ination can cause
damage. Once in the setup/ launch position, unfold the Supersport™ hull
completely and locate the ination valves at the back of the hull. Supers-
port™ uses high-pressure spring valves. Press and twist the valve stem
to open (deate) or close the valve as shown in Figure 1. Inate with
the valve closed to prevent air from escaping when working pressure is
reached.
NOTE: The Supersport™ comes with a high-pressure push pump
complete with High Pressure tting for ination. While it is possible to
inate the product with other pumps such as a high-powered electric
inator, we suggest using the included push pump to nish the job. This
pump is designed for the high pressure required to inate the Supers-
port™ properly, and it has the added benet of a built-in pressure gauge.
2. Attach the pump hose with High-Pressure adaptor into the valve #1
to inate the outer chamber rst to 70% full. Next, move the pump to the
valve #2 and inate the center chamber to 70% full. Then inate both to
the proper working pressure of 10.0 psi (0,69 bar). After ination, seal
the valve by screwing the valve cap on securely.
CAUTION: DO NOT EXCEED WORKING PRESSURE. Excessively
high pressure can cause damage to the product and may void the
warranty.
WARNING: Do not use an air compressor to inate tube. Air
compressors can cause tube to burst if over-inated. DO NOT EXCEED
WORKING PRESSURE.

The mast base can be used for both traditional windsurng
rigs and sails or for the Multisport rig. To use this base for the
Multisport rig, you must attach a small rope through the two holes
as shown. This allows the rig to attach to the board with the web-
bing loop passing through the rope and back into the buckle.
1) Insert one end of the rope through the hole on the left side of the
pulley.
2) Tie a knot on the end and push it into the inside of the base so
that it can not be seen. It should be inside the plastic piece.
3) Thread the other end of the rope into the hole on the other side of
the pulley. Tie another knot leaving a 7cm (3” ) loop

You will need to assemble 3 rope extensions for the current
shroud system of the Supersport. This allows enough length
of the straps to adapt to the Supersport hull
1) Cut 3 pieces of line to 85cm. Make sure to burn the ends of
the rope
2) Fold the rope in half so that it is 42.5cm
3) Tie an overhand knot at the end of the rope so that the loop is
25cm on the inside.

D-ring on the Front (bow) of the boat.

The shroud lines and Bridles attach the sailboat rig to the hull and must be carefully installed. Because the Supersport is
able to accept several differrent sizes of sails, the rope loop extensions must be used for the larger sails.

The bridle straps consist of a rope and buckle, a webbing strap with a
looped end and the rope extension loops shown on the previous page. It
should look as shown on the right when assembled.
Preparing the side bridle straps
1) Attach the rope and buckle to the front D
ring by passing the buckle through the rope
loop and tightening as shown.
2) Attach the webbing piece to the D ring in
the rear by threading the webbing through the
loop and tightening as shown..
3) Attach the Rope extension loop over the buckle.
4) feed the webbing through the buckle and
tighten as shown.

B. Inserting the mast into the sail
1. Next, prepare the sailing rig. If
purchased complete, Supersport™
uses the same 3.1m2sailing rig as
the Multisport™ 270. Roll out the
sail on a soft, at surface. A grassy
area or the Supersport™ hull itself
works well. If it’s windy, try to pick
a sheltered area, as the sail will
catch wind immediately.
2. Assemble the upper and middle
mast sections by sliding the upper
section inside the middle one until
it is fully seated.

sections together, slide the mast
into the sail luff sleeve. 5. Slide the lower mast section through the bottom part of the sail
luff sleeve. Connect the lower and middle mast sections, making
sure that the sections are seated together completely at the joint.
4. The mast should seat rmly into the very top of the sleeve and
the stainless padeye on the mast should be in the luff sleeve’s upper
cutout, facing out as shown in photo B4.

8. Press the pins in place on each side with both thumbs until
they are locked in place.
(Tip: the round hole above the 34cm mark should be aligned
with the plastic groove on the lock)
7. Extend the boom to 34cm on the adjustment arm.

6. To adjust the boom place your thumbs on each side of the locking piece
and push them out at the same time.

B. Attaching the Boom
9. Open the clamp at the boom front end and remove the rope loop
from the retainer hook as shown in photo B6.
10. Next, Slide the boom upward from the bottom of the sail, threading
the sail through the space between the boom arms. The boom connects
to the mast through the lower cutout in the luff sleeve.
11. With the boom clamp open, pry the grip section open enough to
insert the mast. The grip section is designed to ex enough to
accommodate the mast.
12. Pass the rope loop around the back of the mast and over the
retainer hook. Before closing the clamp, position the boom roughly in
the middle of the sail’s lower sleeve cutout. See photo B10.

13. Close the clamp to secure the boom on the mast. The clamp should
close with a snap when using rm pressure. Tighten the rope (if neces-
sary) by pulling it through the cleat in the front clamp. If it is too loose,
the boom will slip on the mast. If it is too tight, the clamp will not close.

14. Next, connect the back corner of the sail, known as the clew.
Feed the boom clew line through the grommet in the clew of the sail
as shown in photo B12.
15. Thread the line around the retainer at the back of the boom (A),
through the clew grommet a second time (B) and to the back of the
boom again (C) as shown in photo B13.
16. Engage the line in the embedded cleat as shown in B14.
17. Wrap the remaining line around the boom tube with several turns,
making sure to keep the line engaged in the cleat. Secure the tail by
tucking it under a previous turn and cinching tight.
18. Next, tie the Mainsheet/ Uphaul Strap to the back of the boom.
Thread the white rope at the top portion of the Mainsheet Strap
through the black rope loop at the back of the boom.

Padeye
Mast Clip
1. Make sure all webbing adjustments are loose on all 3 attachment
points.
2. Attach the sailing harness to the padeye on the middle mast section
(see gure 1).
The center strap should already be attached to the front. The other two
lines should be loose.
2. Attach one of the side shrouds to the side bridle.
3. To nish, pull the rig up and attach the nal shroud to the other side
(see gure 2).
4. Tighten all the webbing adjustment straps until the rig is verticle
standing upright.
5. Connect the end of the main sheet strap to the buckle located part-
way up the strap. Tighten to a mid-point. Adjust as needed for various
sailing conditions.

1. Next, tip the entire boat on its side to
install the keels and rudder. For sailing mode,
the proper n and rudder conguration is
shown below in photo E1. Notice there are
two keels mounted in the forward position,
and the rudder is all the way aft. There is an
un-used nbox just forward of the rudder; this
position is only used for windsurng mode.

2. To install the keels, follow the squence in E2 - E5. The rst
step is to insert the Brass Fin Tab (plate) into the slot in the Fin
Box. This is best done using the Fin Screw (threaded onto the
Tab) and a screwdriver, as shown in photo E2. Insert the Fin Tab
at the center opening and push it forward into the slot in the Fin
Box.
3. Once inserted securely into the slot, slide the Fin Tab
(plate) as far forward as possible as shown in photo E3.
Once in position, remove the Fin Screw, leaving only the Fin
Tab in position at the front of the Fin Box.
4. Next, insert the Keel into the Fin Box center opening and slide it
backward into the slot as shown in photo E4.
5. Push the front of the Keel downward and align the screw hole
in the Keel with the screw hole in the Fin Tab in the slot below.
Once aligned, insert the Fin Screw as shown in photo E5. Carefully
conrm that the Fin Screw threads properly into the Fin Tab. Once
conrmed, use a screwdriver to tighten the Fin Screw and lock the
Keel securely to the hull. Repeat Steps E2 through E5 to secure
the second keel.

2. IMPORTANT: Before using the product, be sure to read and
understand the Warnings on page 5-6.
3. IMPORTANT: When moving the Supersport™, always lift and set
it down. DO NOT DRAG, as this can damage the product before you
get started. It is helpful to have an assistant available for launching
and moving the craft while on land.
1. This completes the Supersport™ sailboat assembly. Before taking
off for your rst sail, be sure to read and understand the information
on Operation of your new boat. Skip to page 24 for Operation.
6. Next, insert the Rudder Shaft into the Rudder Hole at the back of
the boat. Push the Rudder Shaft through the hull until it can go no
farther as shown in photo E6. Once the rudder is in position, turn the
boat upright again. NOTE: The Rudder is not yet secured, so you
may have to hold it in position during this process.
7. Next, secure the rudder to the hull using the lower hole on the
rudder shaft and one of the clevis pins tethered to the tiller handle.
Connect the tiller handle at the upper hole in the rudder shaft using
the remaining clevis pin. The tiller handle should point toward the
front of the hull. Secure both clevis pins using the tethered D-rings.
The entire assembly is shown in photo E7.

Using the Supersport as a Windsurfer
It’s easy to switch from sailing mode to
windsurng mode. Just remove the rear
rudder, move the n back, remove the
shrouds, and move the main sheet from
the back to the front.
1) Remove the rear rudder.
2) Move the middle n to the rear nbox
1) Remove the shrouds from the front and sides of the board
2) Remove the webbing loops and ropes from both sides and the
front of the board.
