AQUAJET AND ORAL HEALTH
Spaces between the teeth are the places where bacteria accumulates and multiplies. Bacteria lives in the soft dental plaque;
and produces the acid which destroys tooth’s enamel and leads to gingival mucosa inflammation.
Crowns, prosthetic dentures, and dental appliances are dicult to clean regularly, which also causes the accumulation of pathogenic
bacteria between crown edges and the gingival crevice. This leads to dental calculus formation and oral mucosal inammation.
When it comes to tooth care, most people usually concentrate on the tooth “whiteness” and do not pay attention to healthy
gum condition. Meanwhile, if interdental spaces and gingival crevices (areas between the tooth neck and gums) are not
cleaned regularly, it leads to gradual growth of dental calculus, gingival inflammation, and persistent foul breath. As the in-
flammatory process develops, gingival tissues gradually get detach from the tooth, which allows bacteria to penetrate deeply,
even reaching the jaw-bones, which is also subject to inflammatory destruction.
Due to bone tissue reduction, gingival decay also starts: visible tooth elongation appears, and the smile looks less aesthetic.
Reduction of tooth embracing by the gum and also the weakening of bone tissue support lead to tooth loss.
AQUAJET portable oral irrigator is necessary for treatment and prevention of such diseases.
Portable Oral Irrigator AQUAJET LD-A3
Instruction Manual

6
ENG
The special nozzle structure allows the water-jet to reach areas inaccessible using a simple toothbrush or dental floss.
Powerful pulsating water head washes out food debris and soft dental plaque, preventing the formation of hidden decay
cavity, massages gums and the whole oral cavity, promoting the blood supply. This helps to prevent periodontal disease,
inflammatory periodontal processes, and tooth decay.
INTENDED USE
AQUAJET Portable oral irrigator is intended for treatment and prevention of periodontal diseases, gingivitis, periodontitis;
for medical irrigation and for the massage of the oral cavity, and care for dental appliances (including crowns, implants,
prosthetic dentures, occlusion correction devices) and interdental spaces.
AQUAJET usage for oral hygiene cannot substitute the toothbrush completely. Use AQUAJET after meals to wash out food
debris and to provide deep gingival massage. Do not forget to clean your teeth with a toothbrush after using AQUAJET.
According to the periodontal disease studies, early stages of dental calculus formations are often ignored because of lack
of overt signs. Such diseases usually progress to more severe stages. Gingival bleeding after AQUAJET usage is a symptom
of periodontal disease. However, prolonged AQUAJET usage leads to the relief of this symptom and allows to restore a
healthier gum condition. Consult your dentist if the bleeding continues for more than two weeks.
Potential consumers: all people older than 2 years.
Functional features: using a powerful pulsating water-jet, the device removes food debris from interdental spaces and
other difficult areas in the oral cavity, massages gums, improves the blood flow, and prevents gum bleeding. It provides
maximum care for prosthetic dentures and crowns, prevents the development of pathogenic bacteria and inflammatory
processes in places of prosthetic denture and crown interface with the oral mucosa, which is not achieved by other common
means. It prevents the formation of dental calculus, gingivitis, and many other periodontal diseases.
Compact size and power supply from a self-contained battery allow the usage of the irrigator while travelling. The battery
is charged from the power supply (PS) or another source equipped with a USB-port and corresponding to the characteristics
defined in the section “Technical characteristics”.
Use of AQUAJET Irrigator by Children
Device usage by a child is allowed only under the surveillance of an adult who has thoroughly read this Operation Manual.
Irrigator usage by children decreases the risk of dental diseases, facilitates oral care, and shortens oral hygiene time
significantly in case of brace wearing. Children also often lack patience and diligence for thorough tooth cleaning, while the
irrigator usage provides the best oral hygiene possible.
Children may start using oral irrigator when they can use the toothbrush independently.
Though correct usage of the oral irrigator cannot traumatize the oral cavity, pay a visit to the pediatric dentist before using
the irrigator.
Device usage by a child is allowed only under the surveillance of an adult who has thoroughly read this Operation Manual.
Infants and children without supervision should stay away from the device, as they might swallow the small parts of

Low battery charge status is indicated by a yellow light.
OPERATION PROCEDURE
The use of alcohol-containing liquids, liquids with suspensions, oily uids, and other uids not intended for usage in the
irrigator may lead to irrigator failure!
The manufacturer recommends using filtered tap water for irrigation.
Internal parts of the new device may contain residues of distilled water, which was used for the device testing. This is not a
defect and it is completely safe.
Nozzle Connection/Disconnection
The set includes 2 individual nozzles with colored rims (standard LD-SA01 nozzle and LD-SA05 toothbrush nozzle for clean-
ing dental brackets). Choose the individual nozzle of a certain color for each family member. Use only your nozzle.
Insert the nozzle into the device until it engages, so that the nozzle’s guide aligns with the groove on the irrigator handle
(Fig. 6). To disconnect the nozzle, press the disconnection button and pull the nozzle, holding it in the notch area (Fig. 7).
Recommendations for safe nozzle disconnection:
1. If the nozzle disconnects from the irrigator poorly or slides in your hand because of water, use a dry cloth. Wrap the nozzle
with a non-rough dry cloth and repeat the disconnection procedure.
2. When disconnecting the nozzle from the irrigator, pull it WITHOUT rotation. Nozzle rotation may lead to its damage.
Additional nozzles may be purchased separately. Purchase only AQUAJET LD-SA01, AQUAJET LD-SA02 or AQUAJET LD-SA05 nozzles
for this device.
The irrigator may be used with an included container or another water vessel.
Irrigator Use with the Included Container (Fig. 14)
Remove the connector 4.2 . To do this, turn it clockwise, so that the indicator is in the “open” position and pull it
down (Fig. 8).
Insert the short tube plug 3.1 into the jack in the lower part of the device 1.5 (Fig. 9).
Fill the container with warm water to the MAX level.
Connect the container to the device (Fig. 10) and turn it counterclockwise, so that the indicator is in the “closed” position
.
The device is ready for use. Completely filled container lasts for 40 seconds of operation.
Do not use the device without water.
If the device is tilted too severely when using the container, the tube filter 3.2 may escape the water, and water
supply may stop.
Double Aqua Flow system –Irrigator Use with Other Vessels (Fig. 15)
Double Aqua Flow system (DAF®) allows usage of any available storage basins or standard container.
If the container volume is not sufficient for you, the device may be used with other water vessels, e.g. a simple glass.
To do this, insert the long tube plug into the jack
4.1
on the connector back side
4.2
, if the connector is attached to the device
(Fig. 11), or into the jack
1.5
in the lower part of the device, if the connector is disconnected from the device (Fig. 9).
Unwind the long tube 4.3 and put the tube holder 4.4 onto the vessel with warm water, so that the tube filter 4.4 is just off
the vessel’s bottom (Fig. 12).
The device is ready for use. Continuous operation time should not exceed 10 min.
During the first use, pour warm water into the container, put the mode switch into position «», so that the water
fills all the device. The device will be ready for the first use when the water in the container is spent completely.
Check that the temperature of the uid in the container does not exceed 40°С. Do not use hot uids, as the oral mucosa is
very sensitive and may be damaged by a hot solution.

ENG
Use
Bend over the sink. Bring the nozzle tip to the teeth or gums. Keep your mouth slightly opened, so that the water can
pour into the sink. Direct the nozzle perpendicularly to farther teeth of the lower dental arch. Turn on the device, switch-
ing the mode switch 1.3 to position «» (average pressure) or to position «» (strong pressure).
Slowly and carefully, clean the interdental space for 4-5 sec., holding the jet near your gums. Then swipe the jet along the
gum line near the tooth base to the next interdental space. Repeat the same movements as for the first interdental space (Fig.
16: dashed arrow indicates the place of water jet application, solid arrow – the nozzle movement direction).
You can stop the jet at any time, switching the mode switch into the position «» - Off.
Do not direct the jet directly into the gum pocket; try to hold the jet perpendicularly to the tooth line.
Perform the same procedure for all interdental spaces from external and internal sides of the lower tooth arch. Then repeat
the procedure for external and internal sides of the upper tooth arch. (Fig. 17)
If artificial orthopedic structures are present in the oral cavity, their places of contact with gums, teeth, or other dental
appliances should be rinsed with a jet more thoroughly. It is recommended to consult the dentist on the features of existing
rinsing channels in these structures.
Always empty the water from the container after usage. This prevents bacteria from multiplying.
Switch off the device by switching the mode switch 1.3 into the position «», remove the nozzle, the container, and the
tube. Rinse everything under warm tap water and wipe them with a dry cloth. For convenient storage and transportation,
put the accessories into the included container and connect it to the main unit (Fig. 13).
