1.5Intendeduse
Bathliftsfacilitaterespectivelyallowtheentryintoandexitfrom
thebathtub.Theyareintendedsolelyasabathingaidforpeople
withreducedmobility.Anyotheruseisprohibited.Thebathlift
isintendedforuseinhospitals,carefacilitiesandintheprivate,
domesticarea.
Indications
•Significantreductioninfunction/missingfunctionalityofthe
upperand/orlowerextremities(suchasamputations,paralysis,
jointdisorders,neuromusculardisorderswithimpairmentofthe
extremities),whenaindependententryintoandexitfromthe
bathtubrespectivelysittingdownandupisnolongerpossible.
Trunkcontrolandbasicfunctionalcapabilityoftheextremities
muststillbesufficient.
•Chronicconsequencesofillnesswithfunctionallimitationsof
theupperand/orlowerextremities,thatnolongerpermit
anindependentbathing,howeverwhenalargelyindependent
bathingispossiblebytheuseofthebathliftandotherbathing
aidsforcompensatingthedisabilityarenotsufficient.
Contraindications
Therearenocontraindicationsassociatedwithproperuse.

Theexpectedservicelifeisfiveyears,presumingthattheproductis
useddailyandinaccordancewithsafetyinstructions,maintenance
instructionsandintendeduse,statedinthismanual.

2.ReleasetheUpbuttononthehandcontrol.
Thebathliftstopsinthecurrentposition.
Loweringthebathlift

Iftheseatisalreadylowered,thebackrestlowers
towardstherear.
1.PresstheDownbuttonEonthehandcontrolandkeepit
pressed.
Theseatmovesdownwardsorthebackrestlowerstowards
therear.
2.ReleasetheDownbuttononthehandcontrol.
Thebathliftstopsinthecurrentposition.
Emergencystopbutton
IMPORTANT!
OnlypresstheemergencystopbuttonAifthedevice
doesnotstopimmediatelywhentheUporDown
buttonisreleased(e.g.ifabuttonjams).Thebathlift
stopsmovingimmediatelyandtheredlightintegratedin
thehandcontrolflashesbriefly.
IfthelifternolongerrespondswhenpressingtheUporDown
buttonsafterreleasingtheemergencystopbutton,theerrorhas
notbeencorrected.Thedeviceisnotreadyforuseandmustbe
repaired,forexample,incaseofanelectronicdamage.

3.Fillthebathtubwithwater.
4.Sitonthesideflapnearesttoyouasyouwouldonachair.
5.Slidebackwardsuntilyouaresittinginthemiddleoftheseat.
6.Turnyourselfintothebathingposition,byliftingonelegand
thentheotherovertheedgeofthebathtub.
7.Onceyouaresittingcorrectly,presstheDownbuttonEand
holditdowntolowertheseatintothebathtub.
Oncetheseathasreachedthelowestposition,itispossible
toreclinethebackrestbycontinuingtoholdtheDown
buttonE.Thisproducesamorecomfortablebathing
positionandallowsyoutoimmerseyourselfdeeperinthe
bathwater.
8.KeeptheDownbuttonpresseduntilthebackresthasreached
thedesiredposition.
Togetoutofthebathtub,followthesestepsinreverse
order.
9.Toraisethebackrestorthebathlift,presstheUpbuttonCand
keepitpresseduntilithasreachedthedesiredorinitialposition.
Thehandcontrolcanbehungonthehooksatthebackrest
whennotinuse.

usedintheworkplace(e.g.byapaidcarer)toliftaloadbesubjectto
safetyinspectiononasixmonthlybasis.RefertotheHSEwebsite

Ifthecleaningandsafetynoticesareobserved,theproductis
maintenancefree.
IMPORTANT!
Thehandcontrolmayonlybeopenedbythe
manufacturerofthebathlift.
1.Checktheproductregularlyfordamageandtoensurethatitis
securelyassembled.
2.Intheeventofdamageand/ornecessaryrepairs,contactthe
dealerimmediately.
3.Thebathliftmustbecheckedbyanauthorizeddealerbefore
everyre-useorafter24monthsatthelatest(seeManufacturer’s
recommendationforrehabproductsoftheSPECTARISindustrial
association).
4.Ifthebathliftisnotusedforaprolongedperiod,chargethe
batterycompletelyevery5months.Thishelpstomaintainthe
servicelifeofthebattery.
6.2Cleaninganddisinfection
Theproductcanbecleanedanddisinfectedusingcommercially
availableagents.
1.Disinfecttheproduct(seat,backrestandcovers)bywiping
downallgenerallyaccessiblesurfaceswithdisinfectant(after
disassemblingtheproduct,ifpossible).
