The AQ-DM-R1 is designed to interface with the basic control features of most iPod’s. iPod not
indicated will operate with volume up/down only. MP3 devices will operate with volume
up/down only.

1. Plug and Play Connector: The AQ-DM-1R incorporates a 12 pin “plug and
play” connector harness. Owner product application options may require an
“optional” connector option. Contact your dealer for details.
2. FM Radio: The AQ-DM-1R has U.S. and Euro FM Frequency capability. Bla, Bla,
Bla . In both applications, make sure the FM Antenna is fully extended at the highest
possible level (Altitude) for best performance.
3. RCA Inputs: The AQ-DM-1R was developed with the flexibility to use RCA
based Audio Media. The AQ-DM-R1 has 1 set of RCA Audio Auxallray Inputs so you
can connect other RCA based devices.


For applications where normal digital media locker operation requires an
independent 12v battery (Boat, RV), power down the AQ-DM-1R via the
RF Remote. This will insure against independent battery drain. Other
applications using 12V power converters are no problem.
RF Wireless Remote Synchronizing
Each digital media Locker comes with a matching RF Wireless LCD Remote to
maximize wireless performance. The AQ-DM-R1 has the ability to be
controlled by more than one RF wireless remote. To take advantage of this
feature, you will need to purchase one additional RF Remote and use the
following steps to activate/Synchronize the new remote to the AQ-DM-1R.
1. Turn on the Digital Media Locker and the Wireless RF Remote
2. Press and hold the “synchronizing” button for 2 seconds.
3. The LCD will show “----“ (Bob needs to confirm)
4. When the “synchronizing” is complete, the LCD will return to the
original screen setting.
5. The Digital Media Locker can host unlimited Aquatic AV RF Wireless
LCD’s Remotes as long as all are properly syncorized.
To Replace Remote Battery

Listening to iPod:
1. Power up the digital media locker.
2. Attach your iPod device to the iPod 32 pin connector.
3. Secure the iPod device with the anchor straps provided.
4. Secure the digital media locker water/dust protective door.
5. Wireless RF Control of track up/down. Volume up/down.
Listening to MP3:
1. Power up the digital media locker.
2. Attach the MP3 device to the 3.5MM
connector.
3. Secure the MP3 with anchor straps provide

5. RF Wireless Control of Volume only.
Volume Control:
1. Press UP once to increase the volume by 3dB
2. Press DOWN once to reduce volume by 3dB
3 Press and hold either Up or Down and the digital
media locker will increase or decrease audio volume
continuously.
4. Volume indicators on the LCD (1-14) will be displayed
for 2 seconds after volume adjustment are complete.
After 2 seconds the LCD Read Out will revert back to
the active program.


Aquatic AV understands the need for more flexible remote applications. With
the digital media locker, Aquatic AV has provided an independent 12V “acces-
sory” trigger, activated by the RF Wireless Remote that provides the user to
activate non-iPod, MP3 related devices. This could include any 12V based
devices like 12V lights or surveillance camera.
1. In any operational mode, press the lighting bolt key to activate. Press
again to deactivate.
2. We strongly suggest you talk with our tech service staff or your dealer
if you’re considering activating this feature.
The digital media locker’s power amplifier will automatically go into “sleep”
mode after 5 minutes of no audio sensing. For applications with 12V inde-
pendent battery operation, this helps with power management. Maximum
power drain during “sleep” is 10MA.
When specified iPod devices are connected to the digital media lockers iPod
32 pin connector, iPod battery charging is activated
