Please read this manual through carefully before using the “DOSING PUMP”
system.
DISPOSING OF THE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
In accordance with art. 13 of Law Decree no. 151 of 25 July 2005, “Implementation of
the Directives 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE and 2003/108/CE, concerning the
reduction of the use of dangerous substances in electrical and electronic equi-
pment and waste disposal ”
The symbol of the crossed waste bin on the equipment means that at the end of the
equipment’s useful life it must be collected separately from other waste.
To this end, the user shall take the equipment, at the end of its life, to a centre that col-
lects electronic and electrotechnical equipment for recycling or hand it over to the retailer
when he buys a new similar piece of equipment, at the rate of one to one.
Collecting equipment that is no longer used, so that it can be recycled, treated and dispo-
sed of in an environment-friendly manner, all helps avoid any and all possible negative
impact on the environment and on people’s health and also contributes to recycling the
materials it is made of.
If the user disposes of the product improperly, he is liable to pay an administrative ne
in accordance with Law Decree no. 22/1997 (art. 50 and subsequent articles of Law
Decree no. 22/1997).

Information on safety
Use the product only for the purpose it has been designed for; any other use not
provided for in this manual can cause irreparable damage to the control unit.
Do not attempt to disassemble the product, as it contains no parts that can be
repaired by the user.
Repairs must only be done at authorised centres by skilled personnel. The
company is not liable for any damage to things or harm to people if the control
unit is tampered with.
Only original AQUATRONICA parts should be connected to the control unit or
those it approves. lf accessories are used that are not approved, it could lead to
damage, re, electric shocks or injury to people. The company is not liable for
any damage to things or harm to people if the control unit is tampered with.
The product must be out of the reach of children to avoid the danger of electric
shocks. The guarantee does not cover failures caused by the use of unapproved
material.
The product is not waterproof, so it must not be put in direct contact with
liquids.
Do not use ammable liquids to clean it, as they could come into contact with
the electrical parts and cause a re.
If the product malfunctions, there is an emergency function to use.
To start this function, please read the “Connecting the Dosing Pumps”
paragraph.

Connecting the Dosing Pumps
1) Connector for connecting the dosing pumps to the supply point (12Volt).
2) BUS sockets for connecting to the Aquarium controller and to other sensors.
3) Jack for connecting accessories (max 3) to the dosing pumps at a future date.

Main Menu
By connecting one or more Dosing Pump Modules to
the power unit (Max 4), the Aquatronica controller au-
tomatically recognises the accessory without the user
having to do a thing (Fig.1).
For any pump settings, proceed as follows (Fig.2):

Select one of the dosing pumps shown (option
possible only if there are several modules con-
nected, see Fig.3).
Once you have dened the pump module you wish to
work with (Fig.3), click “Enter”; you access the rela-
tive menu (Fig.4) where the following operations are
allowed:
Name Change (Fig. 4)
This option allows to change the name of the dosing
pump module or the name of each single pump of the
module connected to the controller.
To change the name of the dosing pump module, pro-
ceed as follows:
•Select the “Name Change” menu with the keys
and press “Enter”.
•Select the letter to insert with the keys and use
the keys to move around inside the word (ex. Fig.
5); press “Enter” at the end.
To change the name of a single dosing pump module,
proceed as follows:
•Select the “Pump Selection” menu with the
keys and press “Enter”.
•Select the letter to insert with the keys and use
the keys to move around inside the word (ex. Fig.
5); press “Enter” at the end.

Dosing pump menu
Select pump (Fig.6)
Use this function to select the pump on which to acti-
vate the following operating modes:
- Manual Controls- it lets you instantly set the quan-
tity of liquid set (Fig.8); proceed as follows to set this
function:

Manual controls Enter the quantity of pro-
duct to dispense.
- Timer Programme - it lets you carry out one or
more automatic dosing programmes using one of the
following modes:
- Single - it lets you dose the quantity of product
wanted (expressed in millilitres) within a period of
settable time and at a certain time the user himself
can dene (Date and Hour).
Example 1
The example in Fig.9 shows pump programming
allowing to dose 50 ml of Iodine in a period of time of
one hour and 10 minutes starting from 14:55 of the
day 03/07/06.
- Repetitive - It lets you dose the quantity of product
wanted (expressed in millilitres) within a period of
settable time that will be repeated at regular intervals
and set by the user himself.
Example 2
The example in Fig.10 shows pump programming
allowing to dose 50 ml of Iodine in a period of time of
one hour and 10 minutes starting at 14:55 of the day
03/07/06 and repeated every 20 days.

Pump Selection menu
- Weekly -It lets you dose the quantity of product
wanted (expressed in millilitres) within a settable pe-
riod of time (period) and at the hour set and only for
the days of the week set (Date and Time).
Example 3
The example in Fig.11 shows pump programming al-
lowing to dose 50 ml of Iodine at 14:55 and repeated
every day of the week.
- Calibration - it lets you calibrate each single pump
so as to achieve a dosage that is as accurate as
possible.
The pump calibration procedure is the following:
1) Take the graduated container supplied.
2) By means of the button related to the pump you
wish to calibrate, make sure the pipes are full of liquid
and completely free of air.
3) Access the calibration screen page of the pump
wanted.
4) Set the amount of liquid for pump calibration: The
menu automatically displays as default a calibration
quantity of 40 ml; you can change this quantity if you
want a different one (see g. 12).
Note: For accurate pump calibration, we suggest
using as much liquid as possible (40-50 ml) to
minimise any parallax errors or if the push but-
ton is not pressed properly.
5) Press the push button on the pump (more than
once if necessary), until the graduated container is
lled with the preset amount of liquid.
6) Now press Enter on the controller.
The pump is now calibrated and ready for program-
ming to suit your needs.

- Pump Working: Yes/Pump Working: No - it lets you enable or disable the pump
selected by simply pressing the keys.
When the pump is disabled, an icon of a padlock appears on the pump (see the icon
glossary).
If a programme is being executed, it stops immediately and the ongoing dosing process
stops as well; in addition, if the pump shuts down, any programmes that may have been
set will not be nished until the pump selected is reset.
About
This function allows to have access to information about the control unit Firmware ver-
sion.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for choosing AQUATRONICA and buying this product. At AQUATRONICA, all products are put through
very strict quality tests but if, despite these tests, your product malfunctions please report it to your retailer/manu-
facturer straight away, so the necessary checks and work can be done.
- General guarantee rules
AQUATRONICA guarantees that this product is in perfect working order and free from manufacturing defects. If
faults are found during the guarantee period, AQUATRONICA will repair or replace the part(s) as the case may be.
Any parts that require changing will be changed free the AQUATRONICA works with shipping expenses at the con-
signee’s expense. For accessories and components not manufactured by AQUATRONICA, only the guarantees of the
relative manufacturers are valid. This guarantee is the only one given by AQUATRONICA, all others being excluded.
AQUATRONICA is in no way liable, except in the cases of fraud or grave offence, for harm to people or damage to
things caused by a malfunctioning product.
This guarantee is valid only if payments are in order.
- Conditions
The guarantee is valid for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase and only upon presentation of this
certicate which must include the shop keeper’s stamp, the date of sale and the product’s serial number, together with
the invoice or receipt issued by the shop keeper and on which the serial numbers are given of the products installed.
Without this information, the end customer is covered by a guarantee of 24 months starting from the date prin-
ted on the back of the product. AQUATRONICA can refuse to acknowledge the guarantee if this information is
incomplete or has been tampered with after purchase. The guarantee will be valid only if, at the time of purchase, the
product has been stored properly and is completely intact inside its packaging prepared by AQUATRONICA, which
is the only one that can ensure the source and provide adequate protection.
- The following are not covered by the guarantee:
a) periodical checks, maintenance, repairs or the replacing of parts worn by normal deterioration;
b) malfunctioning due to negligence, bad installation, improper use or that does not conform to the technical in-
structions given and, in general, all malfunctions that cannot be put down to manufacturing defects and, as such, the
responsibility of AQUATRONICA;
c) products that have been altered, repaired, replaced, mounted or in any way tampered with by someone without
written permission from AQUATRONICA;
d) accidents, originating from causes of force majeur or other causes (for example water, re, lightning, bad aeration,
etc.) not caused by AQUATRONICA.
No one must sell or install products that have easily recognisable manufacturing defects. The Court of
Reggio Emilia shall have exclusive jurisdiction for settling any disputes as to the construction and exe-
cution of this guarantee.
