as waste disposal.
Productsbearingthebarreddustbinsymbolmustbedisposedofseparatelyfromotherwaste.
Therefore,theusermustdisposeoftheproductinquestionatsuitablerecyclingcentresforelectronic
andelectro-technicalwaste,orhe/shemustconsigntheusedproducttotheretailerwhenbuying
anewequivalentproduct,onaone-by-onebasis.
Separate waste collection allows used equipment to be recycled, treated and disposed of without
negativeconsequencesfortheenvironmentandhealth,anditallowsthematerialsintheequip-
ment to be recycled.

Safety information
Usethecontrolunitonlyfortheuseforwhichitwasdesigned,anyotherapplicationnot
mentionedinthismanualmaycauseirreparabledamagetothecontroller.
Do not attempt to dismantle the control unit, due to the fact, that it does not contain parts
thatcanberepairedbytheuser.Repairsmustbecarriedoutexclusivelyatassistance
centresbyqualiedpersonnel.Wedeclineanyresponsibilityfordamagetoobjectsand
personsresultingfromtamperingwiththecontrolunit.
Thecontrolunitisequippedwitharechargeablebufferbatterythatmaintainsdateand
timeforuptoamaximumof15hoursifpowerislacking.
Thecongurationswill,inanycase,bemaintainedevenifthislimitisexceeded.
The battery has a life of roughly 10 years. If it is necessary to change it, contact an
authorized centre. The use of non-approved batteries may cause explosions and also
irreparable damage to the control unit. Please check local regulations for di-
sposal of batteries.The battery should never be placed in municipal waste.
ConnectonlyoriginalAQUATRONICAaccessories,orthoseapprovedbyit,tothecontrol
unit.Theuseofnon-approvedaccessoriesmayprovokedamage,re,electricshocksor
lesions to people.
Positioncontrolunitsoutofthereachofchildrentoavoidthedangerofelectricalshocks.
Theguaranteedoesnotcoverfaultsprovokedbytheuseofnon-approvedmaterials.
The control unit is not waterproof. Therefore, do not expose it to direct contact with
liquids. Do not use outdoor.
Do not use inammable cleaning liquids that may come into contact with electric
partsandprovokere.
Ifthecontrolunitshouldmalfunction,itispossibletoactivateanemergencyfunction.

General description
The “AQUARIUM CONTROLLER” iselectronicandeasytouse,allowingyoutomanageallof
the electrical appliances in an aquarium. It can be used for both soft water and salt water aquari-
ums.
The main components of the system are: an electronic control unit for setting and viewing all
parametersandapowerunittowhichthevariousappliancesareconnected.
Otheraccessoriesarealsoavailableforincreasingthesystem’sperformance(e.g.readingofchemi-
calvalues,electrodes,levelsensors,modules,etc.).

The “AQUARIUM CONTROLLER EVOLUTION”hasthefollowingmainfunctions:
•Visuallydisplaysdataonthebluegraphicscreen.
•The “password” menuallowsyoutoenableaPINsecuritycodetopreventunauthorisedpersons
frominvoluntarilymodifyinganysettings.
•The“multitimer”functioncommandsinanON/OFFmode(usingthepowerunit)andcanacti-
vateanddeactivatemovementpumps,neonandincandescentlights,heaters,coolers,skimmers,
and other elements.
•The“electronic agenda”functionallowstheusertowriteandsaveremindersand,ifdesired,
programrepeatablereminders.Thesenoticesaredisplayedatthedesiredmoment,accompanied
byanacousticsignal.
•The“data readings”functionmeasuresanddisplaysthedatareadbythesensorssothevarious
devicesconnectedtothesystemcanconsequentlybeadjusted.
•The“tide effect”alternatelyactivatestwomovementpumpswithxedcyclesof6hours
15minuteseach(tidetime).
•The“wave effect”functionallowsthealternateactivationoftwoorthreemovementpumpswith
cyclesthatcanbechosenbytheuser,fromaminimumof1secondtoamaximumofabout
5minutes.
•The“summer”functionactivatestheheatingcableunderneaththegravelforxedintervalsof
5minutes/houreveninthesummerwhenitisnormallynotused.
•The“power cut”function,inthecaseinwhichpowersupplyislacking,displaysthedurationof
the interruption. If the interruption continues for more than an hour, the outputs selected in the
menu remain disabled when the power returns.
•The“software reprogramming”functionisthefeaturethatplacesthisproductaboveallothers
initscategory.WithaserialinterfaceandaPCitispossibletoupdatethecontrolunitwithfunctions
whichwerenotpresentatthemomentofpurchase,withouthavingtochangeit.

General description
•Thankstothe“dimming”modules,itispossibletocheckandprogramanydimmingdevices
connectedtothesystem,suchasthe0-10Vmodulesforlightsanddimmingmodulesformovement
pumps.Throughtherstone,theon-offperiodsandneonlampintensitycanbeadjustedsoasto
reproducedawnandduskeffects.Thesecondoneinsteadmakesitpossibletocontrolmovement
pumpssoastoreproducewaveortideeffectsthatcanbedimmed.
•Thankstothe“connectivity”modules,thesystemcanbemonitoredremotely.TheEthernet
moduleallowsthedatareadtobemonitoredonawebpageandbereportedbye-mailifthere
arealarms.TheSMSmoduleinsteadqueriesthecontrolunitregardingthedataread,andsends
messagesfrom/tomobilephonesiftherearealarms.

Connect only original AQUATRONICA devices to BUS sockets.
BUS connectors do not operate with USB stands, so do not connect any commercial USB device to these

Inthecaseinwhich,duringnormaloperation,thereisaninterruptioninthepowersupply,the
controlunitcontinuestobesuppliedthankstotherechargeablebatteryinsideit,maintainingdate
andtimeforamaximumof12hours.
Whenthepowerreturns,thecontrolunitwillrestorealloutputstothepreviouslysetcongura-
tionswithoutinterventionofanykind,andwillalsodisplayamessageonthescreen(Fig.1).This
messagenotiesthatapowerinterruptionhasoccurred.Bypressinganykeysuccessively,the
messageshowningure2willbedisplayed.Thisfunctionmayhelpassesswhethertheabsenceof
powerlastedlongenoughtojeopardizethebalanceoftheaquarium’secosystem.Iftheinterrup-
tion of the power exceeds the maximum duration of the battery, it will only be necessary to reset
the date and the time withouthavingtoonceagainentertheprograms.
NOTE: if the Power Cut function has been activated and the power interruption has ex-
ceeded the time limit, the user must reset the blocked outputs in the power cut menu
(see relevant paragraph).

Keypad functions

2) DIRECTIONAL KEYS allows:
-movingup/downinsidethesettingpages;
-increasing/decreasingthevaluebeingset;
-changingthestateofthevariablesbeingset.
DIRECTIONAL KEYS allows:
-movingright/leftinsidethesettingpages.
Allfourdirectionalarrowscanbeusedtoactivate/deactivateoneormoreplugssimultaneously.

To modify these parameters, proceed as follows:

choose the correct one.

Insert the desired name for the connected Power Unit.
To modify the name, proceed as follows:
•Selectthelettertoinsertwithkeyswhileusingkeys
tomovewithintheword.
Press “Enter”whennished.
NOTE: this screen will appear every time an additional
Power Unit is connected.
Temperature Sensor (Fig. 6)
Insert a name for the connected temperature sensor.
To modify the name, proceed as follows:
