What to do when you smell as

appliances and gas mete at the
main cont ol valve, unless it's in a

•Check all tubes and connections
fo tightness. If you still smell gas

telephone outside the house.

calling the Autho ised Se vice Agent to have the
p oduct eady fo ope ation. If not, call a qualified
elect ician and fitte to have the equi ed
a angements made. The manufactu e shall not
be held esponsible fo damages a ising f om
p ocedu es ca ied out by unautho ized pe sons
which may also void the wa anty.
P epa ation of location and elect ical and
gas installation fo the p oduct is unde
custome ’s esponsibility.

The p oduct must be installed in

Before installation
The hob is designed fo installation in a
comme cial wo ktop. A safety distance must be
left between the appliance and the kitchen walls
and fu nitu e. See figu e (values in mm).
•It can also be used in a f ee standing
position. Allow a minimum distance of 750
mm above the hob su face.

Installin the product

Making connection

a good p actice in te ms of safety since it
can damage the gas and elect ical system.
Final check
1. Plug in the powe cable and switch on the
p oduct's fuse.
2. Check the functions.
3. Open gas supply.
4. Check gas installations fo secu e fitting and
tightness.
5. Ignite bu ne s and check appea ance of the
flame.
Flame must be blue and have a egula
shape. If the flame is yellowish, check if the
bu ne cap is seated secu ely o clean the
bu ne .
Future Transportation
•Keep the p oduct's o iginal ca ton and
t anspo t the p oduct in it. Follow the
inst uctions on the ca ton. If you do not
have the o iginal ca ton, pack the p oduct in
bubble w ap o thick ca dboa d and tape it
secu ely.
•Secu e the caps and pan suppo ts with
adhesive tape.
Check the gene al appea ance of you
p oduct fo any damages that might have
occu ed du ing t anspo tation.

4 Preparation
Tips for savin ener y
The following info mation will help you to use
you appliance in an ecological way, and to save
ene gy:
•Def ost f ozen dishes befo e cooking them.
•Use pots/pans with cove fo cooking. If
the e is no cove , ene gy consumption may
inc ease 4 times.
•Select the bu ne which is suitable fo the
bottom size of the pot to be used. Always
select the co ect pot size fo you dishes.

•Pay attention to use flat bottom pots when
cooking with elect ic hobs.
Pots with thick bottom will p ovide a bette
heat conduction. You can obtain ene gy
savings up to 1/3.
•Vessels and pots must be compatible with
the cooking zones. Bottom of the vessels o
pots must not be smalle than the hotplate.
•Keep the cooking zones and bottom of the
pots clean. Di t will dec ease the heat
conduction between the cooking zone and
bottom of the pot.
•Fo long cookings, tu n off the cooking zone
5 o 10 minutes befo e the end of cooking
time. You can obtain ene gy savings up to
20% by using the esidual heat.
Initial use

Do not use agg essive dete gents, cleaning
powde s/c eams o any sha p objects
du ing cleaning.

metal sc ape s to clean the oven doo glass
since they can sc atch the su face, which
may esult in shatte ing of the glass.
1. Remove all packaging mate ials.
2. Wipe the su faces of the appliance with a
damp cloth o sponge and d y with a cloth.

and gently place into the hot oil. Ensu e
complete thawing of f ozen foods befo e
f ying.
•Do not cove the vessel you use when
heating oil.
•Place the pans and saucepans in a manne
so that thei handles a e not ove the hob to
p event heating of the handles. Do not place
unbalanced and easily tilting vessels on the
hob.
•Do not place empty vessels and saucepans
on cooking zones that a e switched on.
They might get damaged.
•Ope ating a cooking zone without a vessel
o saucepan on it will cause damage to the
p oduct. Tu n off the cooking zones afte
the cooking is complete.
•As the su face of the p oduct can be hot, do
not put plastic and aluminum vessels on it.
Clean any melted such mate ials on the
su face immediately.
Such vessels should not be used to keep
foods eithe .
•Use flat bottomed saucepans o vessels only.
•Put app op iate amount of food in
saucepans and pans. Thus, you will not
have to make any unnecessa y cleaning by
p eventing the dishes f om ove flowing.
Do not put cove s of saucepans o pans on
cooking zones.
Place the saucepans in a manne so that
they a e cente ed on the cooking zone.
When you want to move the saucepan onto
anothe cooking zone, lift and place it onto
the cooking zone you want instead of sliding
it.

they will not extend the bottom of the vessel

•Use only the saucepans and pans with

•Afte the gas ignites, keep the knob p essed

•If the gas does not ignite afte you p ess
and elease the knob, epeat the same
p ocedu e by keeping the knob p essed fo
15 seconds.
DANGER:
Release the button if the bu ne is not
ignited within 15 seconds.
Wait at least 1 minute befo e t ying again.
The e is the isk of gas accumulation and
explosion!
DANGER:
Do not allow any object to d op on the
hob. Even small objects such as a
saltshake may damage the hob.
Do not use c acked hobs. Wate may leak
th ough these c acks and cause sho t
ci cuit.
In case of any kind of damage on the
su face (eg., visible c acks), switch off the
p oduct immediately to minimize the isk of
elect ic shock.
Glass ce amic hob is equipped with an ope ation
light and a hot zone wa ning indicato .
Hot zone wa ning indicato indicates the status of
the active zone and it emains lit afte the plate is
tu ned off. When the tempe atu e of the plate
cools down to a level that it can be touched by
hand, wa ning indicato tu ns off. Flicke ing of
the hot zone wa ning indicato is not a failu e.

6 Maintenance and care
General information
Se vice life of the p oduct will extend and the
possibility of p oblems will dec ease if the
p oduct is cleaned at egula inte vals.

•Clean the p oduct tho oughly afte each use.
In this way it will be possible to emove
cooking esidues mo e easily, thus avoiding
these f om bu ning the next time the
appliance is used.
•No special cleaning agents a e equi ed fo
cleaning the p oduct. Use wa m wate with
washing liquid, a soft cloth o sponge to
clean the p oduct and wipe it with a d y
cloth.
•Always ensu e any excess liquid is
tho oughly wiped off afte cleaning and any
spillage is immediately wiped d y.
•Do not use cleaning agents that contain
acid o chlo ide to clean the stainless o
inox su faces and the handle. Use a soft
cloth with a liquid dete gent (not ab asive) to
wipe those pa ts clean, paying attention to
sweep in one di ection.
The su face might get damaged by some
dete gents o cleaning mate ials.
Do not use agg essive dete gents, cleaning
powde s/c eams o any sha p objects
du ing cleaning.
Do not use ha sh ab asive cleane s o sha p
metal sc ape s to clean the oven doo glass
since they can sc atch the su face, which
may esult in shatte ing of the glass.
Do not use steam cleane s to clean the
appliance as this may cause an elect ic
shock.
Cleanin the hob
Gas hobs
1. Remove and clean the saucepan ca ie s and
bu ne caps.
2. Clean the hob.
3. Install the bu ne caps and make su e that
they a e seated co ectly.
4. When installing the uppe g ills, pay attention
to place the saucepan ca ie s so that the
bu ne s a e cente ed.
Glass ceramic surfaces
Wipe the glass ce amic su face using a piece of
cloth dampened with cold wate in a manne as
not to leave any cleaning agent on it. D y with a
soft and d y cloth. Residues may cause damage
on the glass ce amic su face when using the hob
fo the next time.
D ied esidues on the glass ce amic su face
should unde no ci cumstances be sc aped with
hook blades, steel wool o simila tools.
Remove calcium stains (yellow stains) by a small
amount of lime emove such as vinega o
lemon juice. You can also use suitable
comme cially available p oducts.
If the su face is heavily soiled, apply the cleaning
agent on a sponge and wait until it is abso bed
well. Then, clean the su face of the hob with a
damp cloth.
Suga
-
based foods such as thick c eam and
sy up must be cleaned p omptly without
waiting the su face to cool down. Othe wise,
glass ce amic su face may be damaged
pe manently.
Slight colo fading may occu on coatings o
othe su faces in time. This will not affect
ope ation of the p oduct.
Colo fading and stains on the glass ce amic
su face is a no mal condition, and not a defect.

Clean the spilled esidues and stuck di ts with a
comme cially available sc ape which is specially
designed fo glass ce amic su faces.
To avoid sc atches, hold the sc ape at a na ow
angle.
