protected by a fuse of suitable capacity as stated

using t e product wit out a grounding installation
in accordance wit t e local regulations.

Installing the product
1. T e sealing gasket provided in t e package
must be applied on t e lower casing bend

4 Preparation
Tips for saving energy
T e following information will elp you to use
your appliance in an ecological way, and to save
energy:
•Defrost frozen dis es before cooking t em.
•Use pots/pans wit cover for cooking. If
t ere is no cover, energy consumption may
increase 4 times.
•Select t e burner w ic is suitable for t e
bottom size of t e pot to be used. Always
select t e correct pot size for your dis es.
Larger pots require more energy.
•Pay attention to use flat bottom pots w en
cooking wit electric obs.
Pots wit t ick bottom will provide a better
eat conduction. You can obtain energy
savings up to 1/3.
•Vessels and pots must be compatible wit
t e cooking zones. Bottom of t e vessels or
pots must not be smaller t an t e otplate.
•Keep t e cooking zones and bottom of t e
pots clean. Dirt will decrease t e eat
conduction between t e cooking zone and
bottom of t e pot.
•For long cookings, turn off t e cooking zone
5 or 10 minutes before t e end of cooking
time. You can obtain energy savings up to
20% by using t e residual eat.

prevent eating of t e andles. Do not place
unbalanced and easily tilting vessels on t e
ob.
•Do not place empty vessels and saucepans
on cooking zones t at are switc ed on.
T ey mig t get damaged.
•Operating a cooking zone wit out a vessel
or saucepan on it will cause damage to t e
product. Turn off t e cooking zones after
t e cooking is complete.
•As t e surface of t e product can be ot, do
not put plastic and aluminum vessels on it.
Clean any melted suc materials on t e
surface immediately.
Suc vessels s ould not be used to keep
foods eit er.
•Use flat bottomed saucepans or vessels only.
•Put appropriate amount of food in
saucepans and pans. T us, you will not
ave to make any unnecessary cleaning by
preventing t e dis es from overflowing.
Do not put covers of saucepans or pans on
cooking zones.
Place t e saucepans in a manner so t at
t ey are centered on t e cooking zone.
W en you want to move t e saucepan onto
anot er cooking zone, lift and place it onto
t e cooking zone you want instead of sliding
it.
Tips about glass ceramic hobs
•Glass ceramic surface is eatproof and is
not affected by big temperature differences.
•Do not use t e glass ceramic surface as a
place of storage or as a cutting board.
•Use only t e saucepans and pans wit
mac ined bottoms. S arp edges create
scratc es on t e surface.
•Do not use aluminum vessels and
saucepans. Aluminum damages t e glass
ceramic surface.

For rapid eating, you can use booster function.

active:

T is function facilitates cooking for you. It will not

cooking period. Cooking zone will be turned off

adjust t e power automatically towards t e end
of cooking and allow power savings by using t e
residual eat.
Activating the timer

Operation time constraints
T e ob control is equipped wit an operation
time limit. W en one or more cooking zones are
left on, t e cooking zone will automatically be
deactivated after a certain period of time (see
Table-1). If t ere is a timer assigned to t e
cooking zone, t e timer display will also turn off
later.
Operation time limit depends on t e selected
temperature level. Maximum operation time is
applied at t is temperature level.
T e cooking zone may be restarted by t e user
after it is turned off automatically as described
above.
