equipment.

- Servicing of this equipment should be performed by qualied
service personnel.
- Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where
it will not readily be subjected to tampering by unauthorized
personnel.
- Allow battery to charge for 24 hours before rst use.

Plugin
Battery in this unit may not be fully charged at the time electrical connection is made. Let battery charge for at least 24 hours.
Then normal operation of this unit should take effect. To check, press the “TEST” button, the lamps of the unit should turn on.
Unused wires must be capped using using enclosed wire nuts.
J-Box Mount: LEMX-L2
1. Feed xture leads through main bottom case and
connect AC power supply (Fig. A).
2. Connect wires through the J-Box. Place bottom of case
on J-Box and secure with screws.
3. Connect batty only when AC power can be provided to
the unit (Fig. B).
4. Align snaps and push housing directly onto main
bottom case (Fig. C) and apply continuous AC power.
Press TEST button to verify.
Conduit
1. Secure main bottom case to wall surface. Route
wires through hole in conduit ange and make conduit
connection.
2. Connect battery only when continuous AC power can
be provided to the unit (Fig. B).
3. Align snaps and push housing directly onto main
bottom case (Fig. C) and apply continuous AC power.
Press TEST button to verify.
Operations
1. During an electrical power failure, the lamps will automatically
come ON for a minimum of 90 minutes.
2. To test, press the TEST button and the emergency lamps will
illuminate. When the switch is released, the lamps will turn OFF.

LED Lamp Heads: LEMX-L2Sx
Wall Mount: LEMX-L2Sx
1. Remove the face cover by gently prying it open with a
at screwdriver.
2. Pass the wires through the mounting holes on the
housing. Insert lamp heads into housing and twist them to
lock rmly.
3. Connect the wires of lamps into the PCB terminal as
shown (Fig. C).
4. If luminaire is to be wall mounted or ceiling mounted,
move onto the next page for reference. Otherwise, install
the back of the face cover to complete the assembly
1. Knock out the proper hole pattern in the back plate
to mount to a standard junction box. Place a support on
either side of the knockouts to be removed and then
knock out with a screwdriver (Fig. A).
2. Using a at screwdriver, remove the front cover, remove
and discard the canopy kit.
3. Feed excess wires into the junction box.
4. The system can accept input voltages of 120 VAC or
277 VAC. Connect the black/red wire (line voltage) and the
white wire (neutral) leads to the building utility. Connect
the green ground.
5. Using the junction box screws to mount spider plate
onto junction box (Fig. C).
6. Mount the unit securely to the junction box using the
junction box screws.
7. Snap the EXIT plate to the unit (Fig. D).
8. If the EXIT needs to point to certain direction,
arrow can be removed.

Ceiling Mount: LEMX-L2Sx

or 277 VAC. Therefore connect the black/red wire (line
voltage) and the white wire (neutral) leads to the building
utility. Connect the green ground.

6. Mount the unit securely to the canopy.
7. Snap the EXIT plate to the unit.

Wall Mount: LEMX-Sx
