I.UNIT DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS
BLANCONE ARCUS bleaching device is designed to bleach
the solid tooth tissue by photoactivation of a whitening gel applied in dentistry.
The appliance should only be used by a dental practitioner and in a dental practice.
The device consists of a Bleaching Head,Stand, Fixing bracket and a Power Adapter.
BLANCONE ARCUS BUILT-IN is manufactured in accordance
with the requirements of Directive 93/42/EEC.

IV. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. The device must be used in accordance with the User Manual. It is not allowed to use it for
any other purpose or by unauthorized personnel.
2. The device is equipped with European type plug for voltage 100-240V/50-60Hz.
Usage of the device with other plugs and/or other voltages can damage it or may lead to
certain malfunctions.
Electrical safety is provided by Class I protection against electric shock according to EN
60601-1.

3. BLANCONE ARCUS should be operated indoors under the following conditions:
- temperature from + 10 ° to + 40 ° C;
- relative humidity of the air - 30 - 75%; The device should not be used in rooms
with high humidity levels, condensation or wet floor, walls and/or ceiling.
- atmospheric pressure 700 - 1060 hPa;
- absence of chemically active and flammable substances.
4. Strong electromagnetic fields in the building may cause interference and malfunction. If
their source cannot be determined, change the location and turn it on in another elec-
trical plug.
5. BLANCONE ARCUS is a source of extremely intense light in the blue light spectrum to
which the human eye has a high sensitivity. Serious measures need to be taken in order to
protect patients, medical staff and accidentally close people, animals and plants.
Always use protective glasses for the operator and for the patient’s eyes, wear mask and
facial sunscreen. Eye irritation carries a high risk. Never direct the light to the eyes! Irradia-
tion must be limited to the place of work.

Caution!
The light emitted is at a wavelength of 430-490 nanometers.
Use safety glasses that comply with the following requirements:
- tightly cover the eyes and the temple even if the operator bears dioptric glasses.
- made from a voluminous colored impact-resistant plastic.
- admit light with a wavelength exceeding 600nm.
- reduce the intensity of the blue spectrum over 100 times.
- have a stable mechanical structure and do not have any scratches or damage
on their surface.
6. The device should not be used with pregnant and breast-feeding mothers, patients with:
oncological problems, severe paradental pathology, recessions, dental paresthesia and
under 17 years of age.
The device may only be used after medical consultation on or by persons with implanted
cardiac pacemaker; persons suffering from photobiological reactions; taking photosen-
sitive medications; individuals with cataract surgery, people with retinal illnesses, allergy
sufferers; persons with multiple sensitive skin or dermatitis, etc.
If the bleaching protocol is not followed, pain, hypersensitivity, enamel defects and even
burning of the non-calcified, soft tissue may occur.
7. It is desirable to check the sensitivity of the patient to the intensity of the light. The de-
vice has two levels of intensity (High and Low) and the optimal conditions are selected
by adjusting the distance of the device to the patient’s teeth. Testing should begin at a
high level “Hi” (High) and a distance of 5 cm. If the thermal sensation is unpleasant and
irritating, increase the distance to achieve an acceptable thermal comfort. If the thermal
sensation is still unpleasant at 10-15 cm switch to low intensity -“Lo” (Low) and shorten the

distance to the teeth. If the patient has no sensitivity or sensitivity cannot be measured for
some reason, longer distance should be used.
8.
Do not be placed any solvents,flammable liquids and heat sources near the device and/ or the
power adapter, because exposing it to any of these may cause damage, fire or an explosion.
9. Cleaning agents should not penetrate the device, as this may lead to malfunctions, dam-
age or fire.
10. Protect the outer insulation of all cables from damage that may be caused by sharp ob-
jects, strong pulling, rodents and chemical substances. If any such damages are noticed
switch off the device and immediately take it to the service facility.
11. In the event of a thunderstorm, the device must be stopped and disconnected from the
power network.
12. Do not force the horizontal arm to avoid mechanical shocks to the counterweight or the
bleaching head. In the event of a mechanical shock, if the bleaching head is damaged,
the device should not be used. It must be taken immediately to the service facility.
13. The movement of the bleaching head and horizontal arm without adjustments to the Cen-
tral and/ or Front position locking mechanism may damage the device.
14. Any repairs may only be performed by service technicians authorized by the manufacturer.
15. When replacing damaged components, only original BLANCONE ARCUS spare parts
should be used.The warranty of the device does not cover damages caused by the use of
non-original spare parts. The device or any of its components should not be disassembled
while plugged into the power network!
16. Before each procedure, the bleaching head window should be disinfected with disinfect-
ing solution.
17. Take precautions against accidental injury to the human body from mechanical parts
(moving and stationary),pinching,inertial acceleration of the counterweight etc. Safe han-
dling of the device is vital to avoid injury.
18. Before the procedure each patient must sign an informed consent, detailing the possible
side effects of the process. Note: It is also advisable to visit a suitable Teeth whitening in
dental practice course.
19. Fragile! Use caution when transporting, using and storing the device! When transported
in an assembled condition, two persons are required to keep the moving parts. With any
unevenness on the flooring, the device should only be moved by two people.
20. According to Directive 2012/19/EEC, this symbol indicates that the product should not
be disposed as a general waste at the end of its lifespan. The product must be taken to a
specialized center for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment.Prop-
er disposal of equipment that is no longer used prevents negative consequences for the
environment and human health!

V. INSTALLATION
BLANCONE ARCUS BUILT-IN is designed to be mounted with a fixing bracket to the vertical arm
of the dental unit.
1. Unpack the transport box, remove the
components and initially assemble the fix-
ing bracket to the dental unit. Make sure
the diameter of the bracket matches the
diameter of the dental unit vertical arm.
Soft PVC tape strips are provided in the
case that there is a need to compensate
for small difference in the two diameters.
Tighten the two screws with a 4 mm Allen
key (included in the package).
2. Tighten the stop/safety screw with a 3 mm
Allen key (included in the package).
3. Insert the cable through the small opening
of the fixing bracket and place the angu-
lar arm in it.

4. Attach the straight arm and the cable re-
taining clip. Tighten the stop/safety screw
with a 3 mm Allen key (included in the pack-
age).Make sure that the straight arm can be
moved up and down for precise positioning.
5. Altering the force required to move the
straight arm up and down is done by adjust-
ing the screw (located on the back of the
central position locking mechanism) with a 5
mm Allen key (included in the package).
6. Mount the bleaching head by turning clock-
wise the positioning knob located on the
telescopic arm and fix the cable with the re-
taining clip.
7. Connect the cable from the top of the angu-
lar arm to the one coming from the bleach-
ing head using the connectors (see figure).
Note: the device will not work if the cable
connectors are incorrectly coupled.
8. Connect the cable on the bottom of the an-
gular are with the power adapter using the
connectors (see figure). Note: the device will
not work if the cable connectors are incor-
rectly coupled.
9. Plug the power cord into the power network.

VI. PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
1. The BLANCONE ARCUS bleaching device should be placed in a suitable position around the
patient and the dental unit. See the positioning examples (p.IX). The bleaching head must
be in the same vertical plane and parallel with the arc of the teeth with a distance between
5-15 cm. See the positioning examples (p.X).
2. Plug the power adapter into the power network. Only one point/dot on the
display lights up. Press START / STOP button and then the “Hi” (High) or “Lo”
(Low) intensity indication appears.
3. The display shows“HI” - a high intensity level.If you want to switch to the “Lo”
(Low) intensity mode, press the TIMER (+) or TIMER (-) button once. Then the
display will show“Lo”. Every time before setting the required time,you will be
able to select the Hi or Lo intensity level.
4. Press the START / STOP button once again and set time option will be dis-
played. Note that the device will save the time frame used in the latest
bleaching procedure. Required time frame for operation is set by pressing
TIMER + (increasing time) and TIMER- (reducing time):
The display on the bleaching head will indicate timeframes between 10 sec.
and 9 min. and 50 sec. with a comma between the two digits.
Examples:
Display indicates: 13. This means the timeframe is set to 13 min.
Display indicates: 0.1. This means the timeframe is set to 10 sec.
Display indicates: 9.5. This means the timeframe is set to 9 min. and 50 sec.
The display on the bleaching head will indicate timeframes between 10 min. and 30 min.
without a comma between the two digits.
5. Press the START / STOP button one final time and
the device will start to emit light. A flashing dot on
the display will indicate that the device is working
properly.
6. If either of the TIMER + / TIMER - buttons is pressed
during operation, the unit switches to Pause mode.
A blinking display with the remaining time will in-
dicate that the device is paused. Operation is re-
sumed by pressing the TIMER + / TIMER button again.

7. To Stop the bleaching device at any time press the START / STOP button. If the device is not
manually stopped it will stop after the selected time has elapsed. Note that the fans will
continue to work for some time in order to cool down the unit.
8. At the end of the day turn off the device by holding down
the Start / Stop button for 3-4 seconds or by disconnecting it
from the power network.
9. In case of overheating the thermal protection is triggered
and the device will cease to emit light.
The display will indicate “Oh” and the fans will turn on
for 1 minute.
After cooling, the device will continue its normal operation.
Overheating can only happen in an emergency situation
or by accidental clogging of the cooling vents.
That’s why the cooling vents located on the bottom
of the bleaching head must always be unobstructed
in order to allow air circulation.
VII. DAILY CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Disinfect the PVC window on the bleaching head before
and amer each pa>ent with cojon or other nonabrasive
cloth soaked in alcohol.
2. To disinfect the device and its parts, spray disinfectant
onto a piece of som cloth or cojon and clean it.
Do not use abrasives or solvents as this may cause damage.

VIII. PREPARATION FOR WORK WITH PATIENTS
1. Before starting work with the bleaching device, insulate the patient’s
non-calcified soft tissue, place a cover or protective napkin on the
face, apply protective UV cream and put on protective glasses. The
bleaching gel is applied according to the directions for use outlined
by the gel manufacturer.The patient should be under constant super-
vision by the dentist during the bleaching process in order to avoid
discomfort and to ensure all safety and technological procedures are
applied.
2. It is desirable to check the sensitivity of the patient to the intensity of the light. The device has
two levels of intensity (High and Low) and the optimal conditions are selected by adjusting the
distance of the device to the patient’s teeth. Testing should begin at a high level “Hi” (High) and

X. DETERMINATION OF DISTANCE TO PATIENT’S TEETH
XI. PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
The device does not work.
Check if the power cord from the adapter is plugged into the power network and all cable connectors are
correctly coupled.
Damaged power cord.
Do not use the device! Switch it off and immediately take it to the service facility
Unpleasant or irritating thermal sensation by the patient.
Increase the distance of the device to the patient’s teeth to 10-15 cm. If the thermal sensation is still unpleasant
at this distance switch to low intensity-“Lo” (Low) and shorten the distance to the teeth.
The display is blinking and no light is emitted.
The device is in PAUSE mode.To resume operation,press either + or - buttons on Bleaching Head.
The Bleaching Head cannot be fixed.
Read Point 5. In Section V. INSTALLATION and slightly adjust the tension of the Bleaching Head until the desir-
able mobility is reached.
The display only shows “Oh”.
In case of overheating the thermal protection is triggered and the device will cease to emit light.The display
will indicate “Oh” and the fans will turn on for 1 minute.After cooling, the device will continue its normal op-
eration. Overheating can only happen in an emergency situation or by accidental clogging of the cooling
vents. That’s why the cooling vents located on the bottom of the bleaching head must always be unob-
structed in order to allow air circulation.

XII. WARRANTY
1. The warranty period of the BLANCONE ARCUS BUILT-IN bleaching device is 24 (twenty-four) months from
the date of purchase.If the purchase date is not filled in Section X. LED BLEACHUNG UNIT DATA, the war-
ranty begins on the date of production.
2. During the warranty period,the replacement of the defective elements shall be done free of charge by
the manufacturer. Note - LED modules have a 6-month warranty.
3. The device and its components must only be used as intended by the manufacturer purpose outlined
in this User Manual. Any other use of the device will lead to a warranty lose and no obligations from the
manufacturer.
4. If the device fails as a result of improper operation during the warranty period (mechanical, chemical,
thermal, electrical), non-intended use, inappropriate storage etc.., warranty will be void and the repair
cost will be at the expense of the user.
The device should not be used with damaged cables. If any such damages are noticed switch off the
device and immediately take it to the service facility.
If liquids such as water and solvents, aggressive or flammable substances, vapors, insect or rodent enter
the device,switch it off and immediately take it to the service facility. Damages from the above will void
the warranty.
No claims shall be accepted for damages arising from electrical shocks, thunderstorms, non-compli-
ance with electrotechnical safety measures or insufficient protection of patients, staff, other people,
animals, plants, and objects from light radiation.
The manufacturer does not owe any compensation for lost profits during the period when the device is
damaged or malfunctioned, no matter what the reason.
Claims for damages and claims arising out of non - compliance with the bleaching procedure are
not accepted. Including but not limited to: shorter or longer time period use of the device with the
bleaching material set by the gel manufacturer; unsatisfactory bleaching result; patient’s harms from
the bleaching material; overdosage; insufficient insulation of patient’s non-calcified soft tissue; improper
protection of the patient and staff; inappropriate,expired,intended for another wavelength and/or with
unsuitable concentration bleaching material.
The warranty is forfeited and no claims shall be accepted for damages as a result of incorrect or insuf-
ficient care and attention for protection during transport, unpacking, moving, handling and storage of
the device.
In the event of disputes arising out of the application and interpretation of this User Manual,those will be
settled by the courts in the city of Plovdiv, under the current Bulgarian legislation.
5. The warranty of the device will be forfeited if any repairs or modifications are done by unauthorized
personnel outside of the manufacturer’s service facilities and/or non-original spare parts are used.
6. The manufacturer recommends that customers should check whether the device parameters are within
the permissible limits once a year. Technical condition tests and verifications may only be carried out at
the manufacturer’s service facilities or by an authorized representative.

I. DESCRIZIONE E FUNZIONI DELLA LAMPADA
La lampada sbiancante BLANCONE ARCUS è progettata per lo sbiancamento dei tessuti duri den-
tali tramite la fotoattivazione di un gel sbiancante usato nella pratica odontoiatrica.
Il dispositivo può essere utilizzato esclusivamente da dentisti nello studio odontoiatrico.
Il dispositivo consiste di testa sbiancante, stativo,staffa di fissaggio ed adattatore di alimentazione.
La lampada BLANCONE ARCUS per riunito è prodotta in conformità a quanto previsto dalla Direttiva
93/42/CEE.

IV. INDICAZIONI DI SICUREZZA
1. Il dispositivo deve essere utilizzato secondo quanto previsto dal presente manuale d’uso.Ne
è vietato l’utilizzo per scopi diversi o da parte di personale non autorizzato.
2. Il dispositivo è dotato di spina di alimentazione di tipo Europeo per voltaggi 100-240V/50-
60Hz.L’utilizzo del dispositivo con altri tipi di spine e/o altri voltaggi può danneggiare il dispo-
sitivo o risultare nel malfunzionamento dello stesso.
La sicurezza elettrica è garantita dalla Classe di isolamento I contro le scosse elettriche
secondo quanto previsto da EN 60601-1.

3. BLANCONE ARCUS deve essere utilizzato all’interno alle seguenti condizioni:
- temperatura da + 10 ° a + 40 ° C;
- umidità relativa dell’aria - 30 - 75%; il dispositivo non deve essere utilizzato in ambienti
dove sono presenti elevati livelli di umidità, condensa o pavimenti,
pareti e/o soffitti bagnati.
- pressione atmosferica 700 - 1060 hPa;
- assenza di sostanze chimicamente attive o sostanze infiammabili.
4. Forti campi elettromagnetici nell’edificio potrebbero causare interferenze e malfunziona-
menti. Se la fonte di questi non può essere determinata, spostare l’unità e collegare ad
un’altra presa elettrica.
5. BLANCONE ARCUS è una fonte di luce estremamente intensa nella gamma del blu verso
la quale l’occhio umano è particolarmente sensibile. Occorre adottare misure adeguate
al fine di proteggere pazienti, personale medico nonché persone animali e piante che
vengano accidentalmente a trovarsi nelle vicinanze.
L’operatore deve sempre utilizzare occhiali protettivi, così come il paziente, insieme con
maschera e protezione solare per il volto. L’irritazione oculare presenta un certo rischio.
Non dirigere mai la luce verso gli occhi! L’irradiazione deve essere limitata all’area di lavoro.
!
Attenzione!
La luce emessa ha una lunghezza d’onda di 430-490 nanometri.
Occorre utilizzare occhiali di sicurezza che siano conformi ai seguenti requisiti:
- che coprano saldamente occhi e tempie anche nel caso in cui l’operatore indossi
occhiali con correzione diottrica.
- che siano realizzati in plastica colorata resistente agli urti.
- che permettano l’ingresso di luce con una lunghezza d’onda superiore ai 600nm.
- che riducano di più di cento volte l’intensità dello spettro blu.
- che abbiano una struttura meccanica stabile e non presentino abrasioni o danni
sulla superficie.
6. Il dispositivo non potrà essere utilizzato con pazienti in stato interessante o durante l’al-
lattamento, nonché pazienti con: patologie oncologiche, gravi patologie parodontali,
recessioni, iperestesia dentale e pazienti di età inferiore ai 17 anni.
Il dispositivo potrà essere utilizzato solo previa consultazione medica su o da persone con
pacemaker; persone soggetti a reazioni fotobiologiche; che assumano farmaci fotosen-
sibili, persone operate di cataratta, con patologie alla retina, soggetti allergici; persone
con ipersensibilità cutanea o dermatite, ecc.
Se non si segue il protocollo di sbiancamento,potrebbero presentarsi dolore, ipersensibil-
ità, danni allo smalto nonché bruciature dei tessuti molli non calcificati.
7. È consigliabile verificare la sensibilità del paziente rispetto all’intensità della luce. Il dispositi-
vo dispone di due livelli di intensità (Alto e Basso) e le condizioni ottimali vengono ottenute
regolando la distanza del dispositivo verso i denti del paziente. Il test deve essere eseguito
inizialmente sulla posizione“Hi”(Alto) e ad una distanza di 5 cm.Se la sensazione termica è
sgradevole e fastidiosa, aumentare la distanza per ottenere la condizione termica ideale.
Se la sensazione è ancora fastidiosa a 10-15 cm, selezionare il livello basso - “Lo” (Basso) di
intensità e ridurre la distanza verso i denti.Se il paziente non prova sensibilità o se questa per
