clamps to the heater outlet connection
and io the exhaust outlet'
üoi"i nrt" install the exhaust hose with
a gooseneck.
- Use an insulated exhaust hose when
inli" it a risk of it beeing touched or
coming into contact with temPera-
ture sänsitive material' (Maximum
80"C allowed on inflammable mate-
rial).
- After assemblY a control of the
exhaust- and combustion air Pres-
,u." tigtttn"ts should be canied out'
NOTEI
The red cable is connected direct to the
battery's positive terminal (before the
main circuit-breaker) and the white
cable to the battery's negative termi-
nal. The heater is equiPPed with an
inbuilt fuse, 25 A.
Fuel syetem (figure 9)
For boats with diesel engines the fuel is
taken directly from the engine fuel
tank. This should be canied out by fir
tinq a fuel suction pipe to the top of the
taik. Drltta hole @20mmin the tank'
Cut off the suction pipe so that it ends
about 2 cm above the tank bottom'
If possible the heater should be placed
ubou" the highest fuel level in the fuel
tank. If the heater must be positioned
below the fuel tank level, a shut off
valve should be mounted to make a
shut-off of the fuel possible at service
or a longer downtime.
The connection between the tank's
suction PiPe and the heater is made
with fuel hose of PA tYPe.
Cut the fuel hose in the right length,
apply the nut (1) and the cone 02)'
NOTEI
Check that the cone is in the right posi-
tion, usre-ble the fuelpipe on the.fuel
pump. Use two wrench keYs, tighten
carefully.
A filter is fitted on the suction line from
the tank to the heater {uel PumP, as
close as possible to the tank, see figure-'-
t"tu* t"ngtht of the suction pipe 4,0m' If
a longei suction pipe is required the
fuel p-umP must be removed from the
heatär box and placed near the diesel-
tank.
First start
For a new mounted heater or a heater
that has not been used in a long time'
more than one start attemPt maY be
needed before a continuous operation
obtained.
Cause: The fuel must fill the pipe from
tank to heater.
Fault trace
At malfunctions, check the following:
- that the voltage supply is minimum
iO,S V to thJ glowPlug during the
glowing Phase
- that the fuse is intact'
- that the overheating thermostat is
not released'
Fault trace wlth controlbox'
detall number 3728396
(Available at every servicestation)
- The controtbox is connected to the
control unit 8-Pole connection.
- The cabin thermostat must be off.
Fault type: the heater does not
start
No conhol lamps are on
a. Check the current supply (battery,
fuse)
b. Check the overheating thermostat
(placed on the heat exchanger cylin-
der surface).
Reset after cooling by pressing it' D-o
not break the thin i<nob.
Overheating can be caused bY a
blockage inr the fresh or warm air
flow. Investigate and remdY'
Fault tyPe: The heater st-a{s bltt
does not lgnlte.
Install so that the exhaust PiPe
length is min. 1 m and max 2,25 m'
Alloints should be made bY joint
pieies (accessoires) and clamps' If
ihe exhaust hose is to Pass through
inhibited areas, a stainless steel dou-
ble walled exhaust hose without
joints should be used.
Exhaust hose: Stainless steel, Inox,
inside diameter 28 mm.
bombustion air hose: Westaflex APK,
inside diameter 30 mm.
Electrlcal lnctallatlon (ligure 8)
The heater is at delivery installed in a
casing with an internal cable harness
whicf, connects all components' The
external cable harness is used to con-
nect the following comPonents:
cabin thermostat and the batterty's
positive and negative terminals as
tho*n in the figure. Install all the exter-
nal cables and ctamp securely before
connecting the connectors inside the
heater casing.
When connecting to the internal
wiring, the external cable should be
passed through the hole and grommet,
provided {or ihis purpose in the side of
the casing. Contact grease is recom-
mended.
To assemble and connect the cabin
thermostat.
o Pull the temperature setting knob
outwards
o Loosen the screw under the knob
and lift olf the housing.
o Attach the thermostat with screws'
o Connect the wires according to wire-
ing diagram.
Re-assemble in reverse order,
ensure that the groove in the knob
tocates on the shaft Pin.
Two start attempts will be done, whe-
r"rp"n the safety circuit switches o{f
a. Check the glowPlug'
Remove und .l"un the Plug Con-
nect it to the wiring harness'
Start the heater and check that the
olow oluq element becomes reallY

plug should be rePlaced'
b. Check the fuel suPPlY'
