Use
Use of the device
Before the first commissioning
•Always check the position of the switch before connecting the instrument to the power
supply - OFF (0) –if the switch is in the ON position (I), this can lead to an accident after the
power supply is connected.
•Check the condition of the supply line and the plug. If the cable or the plug needs to be
replaced, this should only be carried out by an authorized service center.
Switching on / off
•Switching on: push the switch (2) in the direction of the working range of the device until it is
blocked.
•Switching off: press the rear part of the switch, which releases the blockage –the switch
switches to the rest position.
Operation
•Fasten the workpiece accordingly. Hold the device with both hands during operation. Switch
on the device. Do not push the device in the workpiece area until it is switched on. Hold the
device vertically in relation to the workpiece during operation (do not tilt, as tilting can
reduce performance and damage the cutting blades). Always be careful not to exert
excessive pressure on the unit during cutting operations in the area of curved surfaces. To
increase the life of the cutting blade and die, use cutting oils that are adapted to the material
to be cut. The cutting blade and die should be lubricated with machine oil. Good cutting
quality is always achieved with a sharp knife. Blunt / worn knives are to be replaced with new
knives. Dull knives must not be ground.
•It is forbidden to switch off the device before finishing work. The cutting head must leave
the workpiece when the machine is still switched on. The device must not be switched off
until the cutting button is outside the workpiece.

Replacing the cutting blade / inserting the punching head
•Unscrew fixing screws (1), upper guide (2), lower guide (2) and remove both guides. Open the
threaded sleeve (3) with the open-end wrench provided and pull downwards away. To
prevent the remaining loose body (4) from falling out, hold the device upside down. Remove
the body (4) from the device. The cutting blade can now be pulled out of its guide and
replaced with a new blade or the round punch head. To reassemble, follow the steps
backwards. Make sure that the body is back in the guide groove.
•For the round punching head (4) the supplied body (3) is required. Insert the punch head into
the main unit. Then fit the body (3), onto the groove and screw it to the threaded sleeve (1).
With the larger of the two hexagonal wrenches supplied, the grub screw (2) can be opened
and the cutting direction changed.
