SAFETY REGULATIONS
-
Ens re the electric voltage of the motor is the same as the grid to which it
will be connected.
(
READ THE CHARACTERISTICS ON THE MOTOR PLATE
).
-
Use sockets for the connection that have defa lt c rrent protection and are
properly earthed.
-
The motor has a do ble switch:
starter and stop.
Start the motor by p shing the green switch and then p lling the cord on
the other switch.
Stop by p lling on the cord again.
-
If the c rrent is stopped while the motor is r nning, it will a tomatically dis-
connect. This means that when the electricity comes back on, the green
switch needs to be pressed to se the cord switch.
-
When shearing is finished, switch off the electricity by pressing the red
switch and disconnecting the motor from the grid.
-
Do not se a wet motor and do not shear in very damp places.
-
Check the state of the motor and its connector cable reg larly.
If any
anomalies are fo nd, cons lt the AUTHORISED TECHNICAL SERVICE.
-
Place the connector cable at height to avoid damage from animals or snag-
ging which may ca se accidents.
-
Keep the machine o t of children's reach and of people who are nfamiliar
with handling the eq ipment.
-
Shear in areas with no children or animals.
-
Use s itable footwear and clothing, in addition to gloves and earm ffs as the
noise emission is greater than 70db (A).
-
Work with a s spended motor that is sec rely held in place to stop it falling
otherwise serio s accidents may occ r.
-
Do not shear in the rain or on stormy days.

0º and 40º.
-
Do not shear in areas near to explosive objects or gases.
-
Do not block the fan o tlet on the motor.
-
When the machine needs to be cleaned or repaired, disconnect the mo-
tor from the grid.
-
This machine is designed for shearing sheep, goats and camelids; se
of this machine on other animals is prohibited.

START UP
-
Connect the motor to the grid (220v A/C)
. (
READ THE SAFETY INSTRUC-
TIONS
).
-
Thread the arm onto the motor witho t connecting the scissors (left-hand
thread).
-
Start the motor by p shing the green switch and then p ll on the cord.
-
Connect the scissors, p shing towards the inside of the arm.
-
Before starting to shear, caref lly read the Instr ction Man al for the Scis-
sors.
-
Stop the motor by p lling on the cord again.
-
To remove the scissors from the arm: p sh towards the inside, t rn half a
circle anticlockwise and p ll o twards.
-
After completing the shearing, disconnect the motor from the grid.
-
This machine has three speeds (2,800, 3,200 and 3,400 r.p.m.); the most
s itable speed is dependent on the conditions of the livestock and the ability
of the shearer.
Change speed by removing the protective g ard and adj sting the position
of the belt (no tools needed), checking the belt is perfectly aligned between
the two p lleys.
P t the protective g ard in place.
This action m st be ndertaken with the motor disconnected from the grid.
