remote is designed to access all of Kodi's™ key
features quickly so that you can spend less time
exploring menus and more time enjoying your favorite

Choosing your Internet Connection
Two Choices
Use the left and right directional buttons on the ARNU remote to choose to connect
your ARNU Box™ to the Internet using either Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Ethernet (Wired)
If you choose Ethernet (which is a hard wired connection) be sure to have a network
cable plugged into an open network port of your router and the Ethernet port of your
ARNU Box™ Android . Press next™
Wi-Fi (Wirelessly)
Choose Wi-Fi
Use the directional buttons to choose your home network
Select your home network and press OK
Press OK again and enter your network pin using the on screen keyboard
Select the box “Show Password” to check for accuracy
Select the box labeled “Connect Now” and press OK
Wait until your ARNU Box™ provides the message Wi-Fi connected Your network
and IP address will be displayed
Select finish and press OK

2.2 Configuring the ARNU Box™ Android™
Setting up your ARNU Box™ Android box for the first time is quick and easy. Simply ™
follow the on screen instructions which start with a welcome screen.

At the welcome screen press next
Select your language
Adjust the screen size. The system defaults to 100 percent. Using the ARNU
branded remote press the down directional buttons until you can see a black
boarder surrounding the screen.
Press up once to maximize screen area

2.3 Setting up Code Red
At the launcher selection screen use the directional buttons to select Code Red
and press “ok”
Use the directional buttons to scroll down to the bottom of the selector to where
it says Always and Just once.
Highlight Always and press OK.
At the Welcome screen follow the on-screen instructions and Press OK
Connecting Social Networks
Code Red is designed so that users can view popular social network videos from
services as well as their own personal feeds. In order to get the most out of your
experience with Code Red we highly recommend that you sign in to as many of the
social network choices that are relevant to your situation.
Google
This is by far the most important sign in. Signing into Google at launch will allow the
ARNU Box™ Android to integrate your login info with the Google Play Store and ™
other Google features.
Choose Google and select Existing or New
If you have a Gmail account select existing and enter your email address and
password using the on-screen keyboard
Use next on the keyboard to move to the password field
Once completed select ok
After sign in use the directional buttons to select choices as to whether you want
to back up your google account and receive notices.
Highlight the grey arrow (it will have a white outline when highlighted) and
press OK
Adding a credit card. This is an optional step and only needed if you plan to
purchase apps and media on Google Play.
You should see a green check mark next to Google

Facebook
Signing in to Facebook will allow you to view information from your wall submitted by
your friends. This includes integration of pictures and video.
Select Facebook and press OK
Press the ok button again to highlight connect to Facebook. If Facebook does
not launch initially repeat the process.
Enter your email (Facebook will populate your Gmail address as a default) If this
is not your Facebook email address use the backspace button on the lower left
hand corner of the remote to erase the email
Tap the mouse button in the lower right hand corner of the ARNU Box™ remote
and use the directional buttons to select the field for email or phone
Press the mouse button again
Use the directional buttons and onscreen keyboard to enter your Facebook email
address and press done
Enter your password and press done
Permit CodeRed to access your public profile and select OK

Vine
This will populate the filmstrip with vine's short videos
Instagram
Do you love seeing what people are seeing, cooking etc. Add Instagram to your
filmstrip and enjoy life over the shoulder of your social network.

2.4 Toggling Between Internet Options Ethernet and Wifi
During the initial setup of your ARNU Box™ Android set-top box you have a choice ™
to set up the box using the device's Wi-Fi or a hard wired Ethernet connection. If you
choose one option you can change the internet connectivity method at a later time.
Just follow these directions.
Turning off a Wifi Connection and Activating and Ethernet
Connection
From the main context menu, on the upper left hand of the screen, highlight
settings using the directional buttons and press OK.
Press the right directional button once to the right and once up to select the
“ON” panel
Press ok to turn the Wi-Fi OFF
Insert a working network cable into the Ethernet port on the back of the device.
Insert the other end of the network cable into an open port on an internet
connected router
Press the reverse arrow button located above the volume controls
Using the direction buttons highlight Ethernet and press ok
Press right on the directional button until you have reached the “OFF” button in
the far right corner
Press OK to turn it on

Connectivity
From the main context menu, on the upper left hand of the screen, highlight
settings using the directional buttons and press OK.
Press the right directional button twice to select the “ON” panel
Press OK to turn the Ethernet connection OFF
Press the reverse arrow button located above the volume controls
In the wireless and Networks menu use the directional buttons to select W-Fi
Press the right directional button to select the panel marked “OFF”
Press OK to turn it on
Press the right directional button to highlight the recycle icon and press OK (this
will refresh your available Wi-Fi networks
Choose your network and press ok
When prompted enter your valid network key or password and allow the system
to connect

Menu Interface
Access locally stored videos or videos from a networked hard drive or
SD card
Access locally stored pictures or pictures from a networked hard drive
or SD card
Access locally stored music or music from a networked hard drive or
SD Card
Access the Filmstrip feeds and add or drop feeds from the Filmstrip.
Allows users to add widgets by selecting open spaces in the top right
corner, change background images, edit the Filmstrip and remove
apps from the launch area. Navigate the screen using the remote
directional buttons.

Adding Android™ Apps on Code Red
In order to add Android apps to the Code Red Launch area at the bottom of the ™
screen navigate to the plus sign in the left hand corner of the screen. Select this and
press OK. Once in the Android menu select your preferred apps and press OK.™

Cloudwords Section
Using the Code Red launcher, navigate to the icon on the bottom left corner of
the screen using the directional buttons (This will be a square with four smaller
squares inside) and press OK
Find the Cloudword Sync icon (It is small blue cloud contained within a white
square)
Using the directional buttons select this icon and press OK
In the Cloudword Sync Menu use the directional buttons to select “Cloudwords
“(When it is selected it will be highlighted with a blue color)
Press OK
Enter your selected Cloudword
The ARNU Box™ Android™ will download the new files and reset automatically.
(Do not touch or unplug the ARNU Box™ Android while this process is taking ™

Firmware Section
The firmware section in Cloudword Sync will enable you to get new Firmware updates
and even system patches for your ARNU Box™ Android .™
We have also included a Factory Reset option so you can quickly reset your ARNU
Box™ Android back to it’s default factory settings. This is very useful if you are ™
having any issues with your unit.

2.5 Using Cloudword Sync
One of the most unique features of your ARNU Box™ Android set-top box is ™
Cloudword Sync. Like Cloudword in Kodi the feature allows users to configure
Android builds based on using one word commands called Cloudwords. Utilizing ™
other enthusiasts builds is a great way to vary the look and feel of the device. At
ARNU Box™, we strived to make this easy and fun for our customers.

Restore a Backup
You can restore a previous back up pressing OK on Restore Now. This step is not
necessary if you do not want to restore or do not have have a previous backup

3.2 ARNU Box™ Pure Linux First Time Setup Wizard
When you first start your ARNU Box™ Pure Linux, a First time Setup Wizard will guide
you through setting up your box.
To continue the Setup Wizard click “Next” or you can click Skip the setup wizard by
click the “Skip First Run Wizard”
Network Setup
This step is very important if you wish to be able to connect online to download Add-
ons and updates. If you are using a Wireless connection, press OK on the “WiFi
Manager” and you will be prompted with a screen to select your Wireless connection.
(NOTE: You can also press the Green button to start the Wireless Network Manager)

Check for an Over the Air Update
If you have an active internet connection, press OK on “Update Now”. This will
check to see if there is an Over the Air Update.
If there is an update please allow it to download and update your unit. Never unplug,
shutdown or touch the ARNU Box™ when it is updating the system.

Install a Cloudword
Do you have a Cloudword that you would like to install? Press OK on Install a
Cloudword and you will be on your way to install some great add-ons!
Please check the Cloudword section of this manual to see some great Cloudwords you
can use in Kodi™.

Scanning for Local Media (Videos and Music)
Do you have Videos and Music on a USB drive or even on your Local Network? You can
now easily add them to your Kodi™ library by press OK on “Manage Video Library” or
“Manage Music Library”.
When looking for your folders in the file browser that you would like to add to your
Library, make sure to press LEFT on your remote and then select OK. This will add
the folder to your Library instead of browsing the currently selected folder.
Note: This step is not necessary in order to use your ARNU Box™ Pure Linux.
Finish the Setup Wizard
Press OK on the Finish button to end the First Time Setup Wizard. You can also go
back if you wish to change any settings.
If you would like the run the First Time Setup Wizard again at any point, you can do
the following:
On the ARNU Box™ Home Screen goto Add-ons
Press OK on Programs
Press OK on ARNU Box™ System Settings
Under the System Settings tab, go down to “Run System Firstrun Wizard” and
press OK

Screen Calibration
This section of the Setup Wizard will allow you to calibrate your television screen to
make sure that your screen is not out of region. Click on the “Screen Calibration”
button to start the process.

The ARNU Box™ Pure Linux has a simple over the air update tool that makes loading
the latest firmware to the system a snap. Follow these steps:

If there is a need to reset the ARNU Box™ Pure Linux back to factory settings follow

Start at the home screen and scroll to the Heading labeled ADD-ONS

Press right on the directional remote to move to the second column
Using the directional buttons select Factory Reset
Do not unplug or touch the ARNU Box™ Pure Linux unit or remote while the
system restores

Using the directional buttons, find your Wireless network name and press OK
Using the directional buttons and the on-screen keyboard enter your network

4.1 How to Use Cloudword on Kodi™
On the included ARNU Box™ branded remote find the blue button at the top
right corner of the device. It will be on the second row of buttons from the top
under the mute button.
Press the Blue button
This will open the Cloudword Installer Screen
Choose a Cloudword from the included Cloudword list provided in this manual or
use a custom Cloudword
Press the right directional button to highlight the field titled “Enter Cloudword”
Next enter a Cloudword using the onscreen keyboard.

Cloudword is a one-of-a-kind configuration tool for the ARNU Box™. It allows users to
add their favorite add-ons in seconds by merely typing one word or “Cloudword”. This
system eliminates the need for users to install individual repositories. By using some
of the Cloudwords suggested in the manual, users can set up their box and be ready
to enjoy streaming media in seconds.
The system will now configure your ARNU Box™ with your chosen Cloudword.
NOTE: If you downloaded a Cloudword that changes the default Skin, select
the reboot option on the Pure Linux system.

Open up Cloudword Sync
Under the Firmware section, you will see an item called Factory Reset. Click OK
on it
It will automatically reboot your system and return your ARNU Box™ Android™
device to it’s default state
How do I factory rest my ARNU Box™ Android™

On first time boot, the ARNU Box™ Android™ box will install applications in the
background.
Please give it a couple of minutes on first boot and you will start to see the
applications appearing in the Application drawer.
I just received my unit and I don’t see some applications that should
be there
If you are using Ethernet, try switching to WiFi.

Cloudword Sync is saying I am not authroized
Try moving your ARNU Box™ Android device to another location™
There is usually interference that will cause signal loss which can be due to multiple
things:
Why is my Internet connection running so slow?
Poor router wireless signal
Objects sitting on top of the ARNU Box™ Device or in a location that is blocking
the antenna signal
Too far away from router
Using WiFi connection from a far distance

Go to the Add-ons menu item
Select Programs and press OK on your remote
Find System Settings and press OK on your remote
Press right on your control, go down to Factory Reset and press OK on your
remote
You will be prompted with a question saying “Are you sure you want to perform
Factory Reset” Goto Yes and press OK on your remote
The box will automatically reboot. DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR BOX AT ANY POINT,
it is doing a factory reset. You will be prompted with the ARNU Box Pure Linux
screen. Please wait for a bit as the system is rebuilding the box.

Why can’t I connect to my WiFi?
We suggest using our Code Red Launcher. It was specifically designed for the ARNU
Box™ Android .™
I just started my box for the first time, it’s asking me which launcher
to use
ŸMake sure your routers wireless security is set to WPA or WPA2. If you are using
WEP encryption you will not be able to connect to your wireless connection.
ŸTry moving your box closer to your router, you might have interference.
ŸTry changing the length of your SSID password to less than 8 characters.

How do I connect my box with WinSCP?
Download WinSCP for Windows
Run WinSCP and setup a new session
Make sure to change the File Protocol to SCP
Enter the IP address of the box and use the following credentials
