Scope
This document describes the balance pin upgrade for the artremis Docking Bracket

Introduction
This information concerns the artemis Docking Brackets with blue Balance Pins
sold by ARRI from
2016 till May 2019 and Docking Brackets with red Balance Pins of artemis rigs
which had been updated to TRINITY from 2016 till May 2019:
K2.0010319 artemis Docking Bracket, 1.8 inch
K2.0010320 artemis Docking Bracket, 1.8 inch, 1.5 inch
NOTE
All Docking Brackets shipped since June 2019 have been already equipped with
the new stainless-steel Balance Pins.
Reason
The new pin is more robust than the old version.
Material required
2 x K4.0025601 (Balance-pin-kpl)
which is comprised of:
1 x K5.0011587 and 1 x 50.0025337
Tools required
•Hammer
•Punch (7mm)
•Pliers
•Green Loctite

Detailed Description
PRECAUTION:
Please read this instruction carefully and start
working only if you feel safe about completing it.

1. Removing the old pins
Hammer out the old Balance Pin
(blue or red) with a punch.
If it does not move, then heat it up
with a hot air blower to release the
adhesive.
These parts must be removed:
2. Placing the nut
Insert the transverse Captive Nut in the top rod
and align the thread with the hole.
(Nut = M8 (50.0025337)
3. Placing the new balance Pin
Screw the new Balance Pin (K5.0011587)
coated with Loctite 648 and tighten.
NOTE
Make sure that the surface of the
pin is not scratched.
4. Repeat this for the other Docking Pin
