INSTALLATION
■TRANSMITTER
1. Connect the Power Adapter to the DC IN nput Socket located on the transm tter rear panel.
2. Connect the Power Adapter prov ded to an Electr cal Outlet. Make sure the Power LED on the
Transm tter s ON.
3. Connect the transm tter to your aud o source.
4. RCA Adapter Cable, Aud o Cable, 6.3 mm to 3.5 mm Adapter Plug, External M crophone and
TOSLINK cable are provided for various type of connection to your Audio Source (e.g. TV
set, H -F system, MP3 or Pod).
5. P ease note that on y one input (either audio input or optica input) must be connected.
The Green Power Ind cator LED w ll bl nk as soon as you have connected the Power Adapter to the
Electr cal Outlet, When the Aud o S gnal s detected from the Aud o Source, and the Green LED
Ind cator w ll glow constantly.
Note: When using Optica Cab e connection, p ease set your audio devices/systems to PCM
Two-Channe (support 32KHZ—196KHZ). For detai s, p ease refer to the operation manua of
your audio devices/systems for the proper setting.

SET UP THE NECK LOOP RECEIVER
■Insta ation and charging the battery
1. Insert a battery nto the Rece ver w th correct Polar ty.(See Below F g. A)
2. Charge the battery for about 3 hours before f rst use. Sw tch off the Rece ver (pos t on OFF).
Place the Rece ver nto the charg ng cradle of the Transm tter. The charg ng process starts
automat cally. The battery LED nd cator w ll be red and w ll turn to green when the battery s
fully charged. Th s takes about 3 hours. (See Below F g. B)
3. Insert the spare battery nto the base as nd cated n the draw ng. The LED w ll rema n red and
turn green when t s fully charged after about 3 hours. (See Below F g. C)
A fu y charged battery provides about 6 hours of istening enjoyment.
To conserve battery power, the receiver automatica y shuts off if no signa is detected
for a period of approx. 5 minutes or when the audio signa eve is too ow. However, if
the signa returns to an acceptab e eve , the Transmitter wi automatica y turn ON
again.
WARNING:
Never attempt to recharge convent onal dry cells.

Never use another type of battery or non-rechargeable batter es to replace the rechargeable batter es
suppl ed.
When the Rece ver s not n use, move the sw tch to the OFF pos t on to avo d damag ng the battery..
The batter es must always be fully charged before f rst use. An n t al 3 hours charge s requ red to

guarantee an acceptable serv ce l fe for the rechargeable batter es. Always ensure that the Rece ver
s sw tched to OFF pos t on wh le the battery s charg ng.
Excess ve sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hear ng loss.
IMPORTANT:
Th s un t should be operated w th rechargeable batter es only. When replac ng the batter es or when
d spos ng of the un t, always comply w th appl cable laws relat ng to the d sposal of batter es. Please
place them n a proper d sposal conta ner to ensure that they are el m nated safely and n an
env ronmentally fr endly way.
OPERATION
Hearing damage due to high vo ume!
Before putting the Receiver ON, ower the vo ume setting and gradua y increase the
vo ume to suit.
Do not continuous y expose yourse f to high vo umes.
1. Sw tch on the aud o source (TV set or aud o component) that the Transm tter s connected to.
The Green LED Ind cator w ll glow constantly.
2. Sw tch the On/Off sw tch on the Rece ver to ON pos t on.
3. The neck-loop nduct on cable can transm t the aud o s gnal to the hear ng a d dev ce w th “T-
Mode” for l sten ng (Note: any earphone/headset must be pulled out from the 3.5 mm aud o
Output Jack).
4. Earphone or Headset can be to the 3.5 mm aud o Output Jack on The Rece ver for d rect
l sten ng.
5. Adjust the tone clar ty sett ng to ach eve opt mum performance.
Note: When the battery level s low, you w ll hear 3 beeps every m nute n the Rece ver. The Rece ver
w ll be sw tched off automat cally after 5 m nutes.
■The Microphone Button
The m crophone open ng at the s de of the Rece ver p cks up the sounds of your surround ngs. When
the M crophone Button s pressed ON, you w ll hear your surround ngs louder. You can hear for
example your door bell, your telephone or your conversat onal partner louder when you are wear ng
the Rece ver.
Press the Button to sw tch the m crophone on. The power on nd cator w ll turn from green to red and
two short beeps are to be heard. Make sure that the m crophone open ng s not covered.
You can hear your surround ngs and you use the rece ver as an ass st ve l sten ng dev ce wh ch helps
you hear other people better.
To sw tch the m crophone OFF, press the Button aga n. The power on nd cator w ll turn to green and
you w ll hear the sound from the aud o source.
■Tone c arity
You can set the Tone Clar ty w th the key on the Transm tter. Press and release the requ red key
repeatedly. The current sett ng w ll be nd cated by the status of the three LED's.

The follow ng table shows the sett ngs. Try out wh ch sett ng works best for you.
■Troub eshooting
No sound
-Ensure that the ma ns adapter s pushed fully nto the power outlet and that ts cable s properly
connected to the DC IN connector on the Transm tter.
-Ensure that the Rece ver power ON/OFF sw tch s sw tched to ON.
-The charge level of the battery ns de Rece ver may be too low. Recharge the battery or replace
t w th a fully charged battery.
-Ensure that the TV set, H -F system or aud o component s sw tched ON and set to a channel
that broadcasts an aud o s gnal.
-Use the Volume Control on the Rece ver to ncrease the sound level.
-The connected aud o/v deo equ pment may not be n playback mode.
Start playback on by the equ pment.
-The Rece ver output level s set too low. Adjust the volume to a su table level.

-Try us ng a d fferent connect on RCA, OPTICAL or HEADPHONE.
Distortion
-The charge level of the battery ns de the Rece ver may be too low. Recharge the battery or
replace them w th a fully charged battery.
-The Rece ver may be too far away from the Transm tter. Move closer to t.
-The aud o s gnal nput level may be too low. Increase the volume from the aud o source.
-The aud o s gnal nput level may be too h gh, lower the volume from the aud o source.
In case the Neck Loop Receiver cannot be inked with the Transmitter. P ease fo ow the
fo owing procedure for Pairing:
1. Turn OFF the power of the Transm tter.
2. Turn ON the Rece ver.
3. Press and Hold the MIC Button for about 5 seconds, the Green LED flash qu ckly n the
Rece ver, then turn ON the power of the Transm tter.
4. The Rece ver and the Transm tter s then Pa red automat cally, and the Green LED on the
Rece ver l ghts stead ly.
5. One Transmitter can be connected to severa Receivers as above.
