1 Safety precautions.
• Be sure to read the instructions in this section carefully before use.
• Make sure to observe the instructions in this manual as the conventions of safety symbols and messages regarded
as very important precautions are included.
• We also recommend you keep this instruction manual handy for future reference.
Warnings and safety.
Safety Symbol and Message Conventions.
Safety symbols and messages described below are used in this manual to prevent bodily injury and property damage,
which could result from mishandling. Before operating your product, read this manual rst and understand the safety
symbols and messages so you are thoroughly aware of the potential safety risk.
Warning.
When Installing the Unit.
• Do not expose the unit to rain or an environment
where it may be splashed by water or other liquids, as
doing so may result in re or electric shock.
• Use the unit only with the voltage specied on
the unit. Using a voltage higher than that which is
specied may result in re or electric shock.
• Do not cut, kink, otherwise damage nor modify the
power supply cord. In addition, avoid using the power
cord in close proximity to heaters, and never place
heavy objects -- including the unit itself -- on the
power cord, as doing so may result in re or electric
shock.
• Be sure to replace the unit’s terminal cover after
connection completion. Because high voltage is applied
to the speaker terminals, never touch these terminals
to avoid electric shock.
• Be sure to ground to the safety ground (earth)
terminal to avoid electric shock. Never ground to a gas
pipe as a catastrophic disaster may result.
• Avoid installing or mounting the unit in unstable
locations, such as on a rickety table or a slanted
surface. Doing so may result in the unit falling down,
causing personal injury and/or property damage.



When the Unit is in Use.
• Should the following irregularity be found during use,
immediately switch off the power, disconnect the
power supply plug from the AC outlet and contact your
nearest ArtSound dealer. Make no further attempt to
operate the unit in this condition as this may cause re
or electric shock.
• If you detect smoke or a strange smell coming from
the unit.
• If water or any metallic object gets int o the unit
• If the unit falls, or the unit case breaks
• If the power supply cord is damaged (exposure of
the core, disconnection, etc.)
• If it is malfunctioning (no tone sounds.)
• To prevent a re or electric shock, never open nor
remove the unit case as there are high voltage compo-
nents inside the unit. Refer all servicing to your near-
est ArtSound dealer.
• Do not place cups, bowls, or other containers of liquid
or metallic objects on top of the unit. If they acciden-
tally spill into the unit, this may cause a re or electric
shock.
• Do not insert nor drop metallic objects or ammable
materials in the ventilation slots of the unit’s cover, as
this may result in re or electric shock.
• Do not block the ventilation slots in the unit’s cover.
Doing so may cause heat to build up inside the unit
and result in re.
• Do not operate the unit for an extended period of time
with the sound distorting. This is an indication of a
malfunction, which in turn can cause heat to generate
and result in a re.
Warranty
Warranty terms of global three years. While the term and warranty may vary by country and may not be the same for
all products. Terms and conditions of warranty for a given product may be determined rst by locating the appropriate
country which the product was purchased in, then by locating the product type.
2. General description.
The PRH power amplier is relying on a digital high ef-
cient class-D topology, featuring minimal power con-
sumption, less excess heat and saving rack space com-
pared to conventional analogue counterparts.
The PRH amplier contains four independent amplied
channels, which each have a rated power of 240W for the
PRH-4250 and 350W for the PRH-4350 respectively. For
each channel there is a balanced line input by a phoenix
terminal, a separate input gain control, and an optional
high-pass cut off lter. For the outputs, each channel has
a 100V as well as a low impedance (8Ω) output available.
This makes the PRH range very versatile for a wide range
of situations.
A standby mode is automatically enabled when there is
no signal on any input for more than one minute and
is disabled immediately when there’s an input signal
detected. The amplier has a built-in protection mode,
which kicks in in case of a short circuit or overload on the
output, a DC error or an internal overtemperature issue.
Visual status leds on the front panel are showing addi-
tional information for each channel separately for easy
supervision.
The amplier accepts an AC supply voltage from 115V to
230V, which makes it possible to employ worldwide.
An all-pole mains switch with a contact separation of at least 3 mm in each pole shall be incorporated in
the electrical installation of the building.
Due to product upgrades, while some of the features and specication in the user manual does not
match the actual functions, sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for your kind understanding!

1. Protection
The protection mode kicks in in case of a short
circuit or overload on the output, a DC error or an
internal overheating issue. If this is the case, the
protection indicator will be permanently lit (orange).
2. Clipping
In case the input signal is too high, the amplier is
literally driven to its limits and hence can no longer
reproduce the signal undistorted. When this is the
case for any channel, this will be indicated by the
clip indicator (red). To resolve, just turn down the
input gain of the affected channel a slight bit.
3. Input
The input indicator will lit up (green) whenever there
is an incoming signal detected for the respective
channel.
4. Output
The input indicator will lit up (green) whenever there
is an outgoing signal for the respective channel and
basically shows the amplier is in its normal working
state.
5. Power
When the unit is powered, the power indicator will
be permanently lit (blue).
6. Power switch
The power switch is used to power on/off the PRH
amplier.

1. AC power cord
The amplier accepts an AC supply voltage from
115V to 230V, which makes it possible to use world-
wide with the corresponding power lead.
2. 100V speaker output
This output connection must be used for a 100V
speaker system. Only connect speakers to this that
are compatible for 100V (with an internal transform-
er) and always respect the polarity of the connection
(see further).

5. Speaker connections.
• Connecting4-16ΩSpeakerSystems
When connecting conventional 4-16Ω speaker sys-
tems, connect the speaker’s positive (+) side to the
terminal labeled 4-16Ω. Connect the speaker’s nega-
tive (-) side to the terminal labeled COM.
• Connecting High-Voltage Distributed Speaker
Systems
When connecting a low-impedance (100V) speaker
system in parallel, connect the speaker’s positive (+)
side to the terminal labeled 100V.
Connect the speaker’s negative (-) side to the terminal
labeled COM.
Before connecting speakers, disconnect the AC power cable. Note the proper connecting terminals as
shown below. Make sure that the total impedance is not less than the rated impedance indicated.
This output connection must be used for a low im-
pedance (conventional, residential) speaker system.
The rated impedance this ampli er can drive is 8Ω.
Always respect the polarity of the connection (see
further).
5. Gain control
With the input gain control for each channel, it is
possible to adjust the different input sources to
match on the desired volume at the outputs.
6. Highpasslter
The high pass cut off  lter can be enabled or disa-
bled for each channel by a dipswitch.
7. Standby
The automatic standby mode can be enabled or disa-
bled for each channel by a dipswitch. Standby mode
is automatically enabled when there is no signal on
any input for more than one minute and is disabled
immediately when any input signal is detected.
