To obtain warranty service for your Audibox, call, write, or Email to ARX or
the dealer you purchased it from. They will give you the correct address to
send your unit to. Have your sales receipt showing date of purchase handy,
and include a copy of it with your Audibox. Please pack the unit well - we
are not responsible for any damage caused by unsuitable packing during
shipment. Send the unit to us pre-paid, by a delivery service like FedEx,
UPS, or any other service that can track the shipment. We will return it to
you freight paid. If you have any questions, or any part of this is unclear,
please write to ARX Systems in the country of purchase, or to the address

ARX Systems (ARX) warrants to the first purchaser of this Audibox
product that it is free from defects in materials and workmanship
under normal use and service. ARX’s sole obligation under this war-
ranty shall be to provide, without charge, parts and labour neces-
sary to remedy defects, if any, which appear within twelve (12)
months from date of purchase; and to supply parts only for the life
of the product to the original purchaser. ARX shall not be responsi-
ble for parts that have been discontinued by the original manufac-
turer
This is our only warranty. It does not cover finish or appearance
items,nordoesitapplyiftheAudiboxhasbeen,inARX’ssole judge-
ment:
• Subjected to misuse, abuse, negligence or accident;
•Repaired,workedon,oralteredbypersonsnotauthorizedbyARX,
• Connected, installed, adjusted or used otherwise than in accord-
ance with the instructions supplied by ARX.

The ISO-Balancer for balancing
unbalancedsignals,andalsotheISO
De-Balancer, which will de-bal-
anceasignalwhenrequiredtocon-
nect to an unbalanced input.
The ISO-Later is a Dual channel
Unbalanced to Balanced Low Im-
pedance transformer isolated con-
verter, and the ISO Splitter is a
transformer isolated 1 input to 2
outputs splitter for splitting 1 input
2 ways in applications where com-
pleteGalvanic isolation is required.
Both available in Single Channel or
Double Header format.
The Ear Driver is a Headphone
Amplifier with 2 pairs of Stereo in-
puts each feeding two channels of
headphone level outputs. It has in-
dividual Level controls plus a 12 -
15VDC power connector. A com-

The AV-DI is a Stereo AudioVisual
Active Direct box, with dual RCA
or stereo mini jack input and dual
XLR outputs. Ideal for interfacing

Using your Audibox
TheDI Preisa Single orDual Chan-
nel Microphone Pre amplifier. It is a
self contained, stand alone single or
dual channel unit designed to bring
the ultra low signallevel of a micro-

Set the DI Pre Input Gain at 20 - 30
dB as a starting point, then try the
traditionalsoundengineer’s “Check
1 - 2” into the microphone, and
watch the Clip LED on the front of
the DI Pre. If it lights up, reduce the
Input Gain. If the levels are still too
high,thenpushthe20dBPadswitch
In on the front panel. You may have
to bring the Gain back up a little to
compensate for this. It’s a matter of
trial and error initially, until you are
usedtotheinteractionbetweenthe
DI Pre, microphone, and the Line
input the DI Pre is plugged into.
Different microphones will require
different Input Gain settings, as will
singers with louder and softer
voices,andlouderandsofterinstru-
ments. It’s a good idea to create a
list of different settings that you can
refer back to when you need to.

Power Requirements
The DI Pre is an active device, ie. it
needs power to run. This power can
be supplied an External 12 - 15 V DC
power:

200 mAmps will work, although for
greatest headroom we recommend

chassisfinishedinattractivemattblue
textured powdercoat, with hard-
wearing epoxy screen printing and
large slip resistant rubber foot pads.
By their very nature these units are
compact and portable; to protect
yourinvestmentwe’veaddednumer-
ous security features including a slot
for computer lock, and the option of
a permanent table mounting kit.
A rack mount kit is also available to
rack up to 3 units plus power supply
in 1 RU

Connections and Controls:
Balanced XLR Microphone Input. –20 dB Pad switch and
indicator LED, Phantom Power Switch and indicator LED
illuminates when the unit is providing Phantom Power. The
Clip LED will light up when the the signal level is too high.
Thereis also aGain controlfrom 10 to60dB, a balancedTip
RingSleeve Outputjack, and a 12 - 15 V DC power connec-
tor for connecting to an external power supply
