To obtain warranty service for your Audibox, call, write, or
Email to ARX or the dealer you purchased it from. They
will give you the correct address to send your unit to. Have
your sales receipt showing date of purchase handy, and in-
clude a copy of it with your Audibox. Please pack the unit
well - we are not responsible for any damage caused by
unsuitablepackingduringshipment.Sendtheunittouspre-
paid, by a delivery service like FedEx, UPS, DHL or any
similarservice that cantrack the shipment.Wewill return it
to you freight paid. If you have any questions, or any part of

ARX Systems (ARX) warrants to the first purchaser of this Audibox
product that it is free from defects in materials and workmanship
under normal use and service. ARX’s sole obligation under this war-
ranty shall be to provide, without charge, parts and labour neces-
sary to remedy defects, if any, which appear within twelve (12)
months from date of purchase; and to supply parts only for the life
of the product to the original purchaser.
This is our sole warranty. It does not cover finish or appearance
items,nordoesitapply if the Audibox has been,inARX’ssolejudge-
ment:
• Subjected to misuse, abuse, negligence or accident;
•Repaired,workedon,oralteredbypersonsnotauthorizedbyARX,
• Connected, installed, adjusted or used otherwise than in accord-
ance with the instructions supplied by ARX.
Thiswarranty gives you and usspecific legal rights,and you mayalso
have other rights which can vary from state to state.
INTERNATIONAL LIFETIME WARRANTY
As well as the Ear Driver, ARX
manufacture other products in the
unique Audibox range:
The ISO-Balancer for balancing
unbalancedsignals,andalsothe ISO
De-Balancer, which will de-bal-
anceasignal when requiredtocon-
nect to an unbalanced input.
The ISO-Later is a Dual channel
Unbalanced to Balanced Low Im-
pedance transformer isolated con-
verter, and the ISO Splitter is a
transformer isolated 1 input to 2
outputs splitter for splitting 1 input
2 ways in applications where com-
pleteGalvanic isolationis required.
Both available in Single Channel or
Double Header format.
The AV-DI is a stereo AudioVisual
Active Direct box, with dual RCA
andstereo minijackinputsplusdual
XLR outputs. Ideal for interfacing
consumeraudio(especially compu-
ter sound cards) with professional
systems.
ThePro-DIisanultracompactAc-
tive Direct box, with normal High
Impedance input as well as a sepa-
ratespeakerlevel inputforconnec-
tion to instrument amplifiers.
Other features include –20dB Pad
and Audio Ground Lift switches,
Did you know... plusPhantom or DCpower options.
Available in Single Channel or Dou-
ble Header format
The DI-Pre is an Ultra compact Mi-
crophone Pre amp with XLR input,
balanced jack output and 10 to 60dB
Gain control.
Other features include –20dB Pad
switch,ClipLEDandPhantomPower
switch, plus DC power connector.

Using your Audibox
The EarDriver is a compact
Headphone Amplifier. It is a self-
contained, stand alone unit capable
ofrunningonestereosignalto4out-
puts, or two stereo signals to 2 out-
puts. Each Output is a standard Tip
Ring Sleeve headphone jack with its
own Level control.
Inserting Left and Right Jacks into
Channels 1 and 2 will automatically
link them to inputs 3 and 4, unless
you insert other jacks into inputs 3
and 4.
There is also a Minijack Input for
Channels 1 and 2, and another for
Channels 3 and 4.
TheEarDriverhasmanyapplications
for Live Sound, Studio or Broadcast
use.
Typical input types are:
• Any line level signal - mixing con-
soles, MP3 players, laptop compu-
ter sound cards, CD players, audio
from DVD players, cassette decks,
tape decks, VCR audio and more
Operating instructions
Input Connections A stereo line
level source plugs into the Left and
Right Inputs for Channels 1 and 2.
Alternatively the Minijack input can
be used.

the Level controls for the required
volume.
You can connect another 2 sets of
headphones into Outputs 3 and 4 to
run from the same Input signal as 1
and 2. If you want to use a different
signal, insert jacks carrying that signal
into the Left and Right Inputs (or the
Minijack Input) for 3 and 4.
Power Requirements
The EarDriver is an active device, ie.
it needs power to run. This power
needs to be supplied by an External
12 - 15 V DC Power Supply
The EarDriver has a DC input con-
nector for connecting an external 12
-15V DCpowersupply.Any12VDC
wall connector capable of supplying
200 mAmps will work, although for
greatest headroom we recommend
theAudiboxPSUwhichcansupply15
V DC to multiple Audibox devices.
Notethewiring oftheconnector:the
outer sleeve is –, the inner is +.

All models in the Audibox range
feature the same heavy duty all-steel
chassisfinished inattractivemattblue
textured powdercoat, with
hardwearing epoxy screen printing
and large slip resistant rubber foot
pads.
By their very nature these units are
compact and portable; to protect
yourinvestmentwe’veaddednumer-
ous security features including a slot
for a computer lock, and the option
of a permanent table mounting kit.
A rack mount kit is also available to
rack up to 3 units plus power supply
in 1 RU
The EarDriver
Connections and Controls:
2 pairs of Stereo inputs each feed two channels of head-
phonelevel outputs.IndividualLevelcontrolsplusDCpow-
er connector. Minijack Inputs are also included for maxi-
mum flexibility
Available in Double Header format only; Channels 1 and 2
are AutoLinked into Channels 3 and 4 unless other inputs
are jacked into 3 and 4. A compact, flexible unit with many
applications.
