The ARX DI-1 is a major step for-
ward in active direct boxes. Using
a single channel based on the suc-
cessful DI-6, the DI-1 represents a
fresh look at active D.I. concepts.
• Precision engineered
Ultra quiet, ultra clean circuitry
delivers maximum headroom
whatever the signal. Premium
grade components, plus a steel
chassis gives excellent hum and
noise specifications in a tough,
roadworthy package.
• Gain control
By using a rotary control rather
than a simple switch, the DI-1 can
be set up to handle the most com-
plex signal. Gain is fully adjustable
from 0 dB through to +20 dB, mak-
ing it suitable for all applications,
from the softest keyboard to the
hottest broadcast levels.
• Battery compartment
The simple ‘twist-and-slide’ action
of the DI-1 battery compartment
makes battery changing a breeze,
even on the darkest stages. No tools
required, no screws to lose. Produc-
tion crew heaven!
•Automatic Phantom switching
The DI-1 will automatically switch
itself to the console’s own Phantom
Power, if available, and an LED will
indicate this mode. Turn the Phan-
tomPower offand it will revert back
to battery mode.
• Multiple power options
The DI-1 runs on 2 x 9 volt batter-
ies, but if they die, it also has a DC
input connector, so you can run it
from any DC power pack such as a
guitar pedal power supply. Now the
show can go on, whatever happens.
• Not too compact
A lot of direct boxes are fitted into
brittle cast alloy cases. Not this one!
The custom aluminium extrusion
surrounding the DI-1, plus its steel
innner chassis with 2 batteries make
it a solid unit that is hard to dis-
lodge,hardtoleave behind, and also
harder for people to put in their
pockets!
Whether you’re a Studio or Live
Soundengineer,installation contrac-
tor, or broadcast engineer, you want
all the dynamics and clarity of the
original sound transferred to the
mixing console. If you’re a musi-
cian, then you need to be sure that
what you play is what the audience
hears. After all, if your sound isn’t
important, why bother playing?
The ARX DI-1 provides a rugged,
no-compromise solution to all direct
injection signal requirements.

DI-2
Specifications
Phantom, Battery or Plug Pack powered
in a rugged steel chassis
The ARX DI-2 is another major step
forward in active direct boxes. A
dual channel unit with the same
rugged, dependable construction of
the DI-1, the DI-2 represents a fresh
look at the needs of all D.I. users.
• Precision engineered
Ultra quiet, ultra clean circuitry de-
livers maximum headroom whatev-
er the signal. Premium grade com-
ponents, plus a steel chassis gives
excellent hum and noise specifica-
tions in a tough, roadworthy
package.
• Gain control
A 20 dB Pad switch and a +10 dB
Gain switch makes the DI-2 suita-
bleforallapplications,from the soft-
estkeyboardtothehottestbroadcast
levels; and all in glorious stereo!
Plus, the Left and Right channel
Gainmatchupperfectlyfor accurate
stereo imaging.
• Battery compartment
The simple ‘twist-and-slide’ action
of the DI-2 battery compartment
makes battery changing a breeze,
even on the darkest stages. No tools
required, no screws to lose. Produc-
tion crew heaven!
•Automatic Phantom switching
The DI-2 will automatically switch
itself to the console’s own Phantom
Power, if available, and an LED will
indicate this mode. Turn the Phan-

ies, but if they die, it also has a DC
input connector, so you can run it
from any DC power pack such as a
guitar pedal power supply. Now
the show can go on, whatever hap-
pens.
• Not too compact
Alot of other direct boxes are fitted
into brittle cast alloy cases. Not this
one! Computer aided high density
design has allowedARX to slip two
channels of ultra high quality DI
circuitry into the same custom alu-
minium extrusion that surrounds
the DI-2, making it a solid unit that
ishard to dislodge, hardtoleavebe-
hind, and also harder for people to
put in their pockets!
Whether you’re a Studio or Live

tractor, or broadcast engineer, you
