The Maya device’s Local Web Interface is used to configure
the WAN Interface with a Static IP Address

Background
•Maya devices have no command line interface for reasons of security and avoiding
implementing multiple user interfaces on the device
•Provisioning, configuration, management, and troubleshooting are all handled from a
browser connected to the Cloud-based Maya Control Center (Portal)
•The Portal transmits configuration to the device and collects data from the device
•Factory units are set to use DHCP on their WAN port as the default
•If a unit is to be deployed where the WAN connection has no DHCP but uses static IP, the
unit’s Local Web Interface is used to set the WAN port to static IP
•The Local Web Interface can be used as a basic management tool. Its usage is
documented here with a focus on setting a Static IP address.

default LAN interface (Port 2 on the Maya M24)
b) Connect the default WAN Interface (port 1 on the Maya M24)

2. Enter the Maya device’s Local Web Interface.
Type http://Setup.InSpeed.Neti into browser: The device should respond with the
Local Web Interface Landing Page*:

The Default LAN port provides DHCP with factory default range
from 192.168.241.20 to 192.168.241.200. Its IP address is 192.168.241.1.
If setup.inspeed.net fails, use the IP address. The default is 192.168.241.1.
*In some cases the page served is shown as Step 4 on the next slide.

There are Maya software updates available. These updates are being installed now. This can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few
minutes, depending upon which packages require updates. Do not unplug, power down, reboot, or disconnect the unit from the Internet.
