5-Port 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch
Asante’s FriendlyNET FS5005 is the fastest way to expand your
home or office network. Start with 5 ports of fast 10/100 Mbps
network bandwidth per port. In full-duplex mode, that means each
port can deliver up to 200 Mbps for maximum throughput. With
built-in auto-negotiation, you’ll be making network connections at
the fastest speeds—automatically.
Whether you’re moving graphic file, video streams or MP3 music
files, this FriendlyNET switch can handle it all. Even if you’re
upgrading from a 2-node home network with a crossover cable, the
FS5005 can handle it all with Auto Uplink™, Asanté’s proven
technology for automatically detecting and configuring for the right
wiring connections.
Beneath its stylish translucent blue-graphite case design, the
FS5005 includes a rugged metal chassis to protect against hostile
environments, including unauthorized removal or theft. The
FriendlyStack™ case design features special hooks (to attach
security cables) and four mounting holes (including 2 concealed
holes). These secure mounting features are ideal for schools, public
areas or even small businesses where physical security is essential.
