Selecting the right location for your treadmill is crucial for safety and optimal performance.
Consider the following when choosing a location:
•Stable Surface: Place the treadmill on a flat, stable surface to prevent wobbling or tilting
during use.
•Ventilation: Ensure the room has adequate ventilation. A fan or open window can help
circulate air during workouts.
•Space: Leave at least 0.5 meters (about 1.5 feet) of space on each side of the treadmill and 1
meter (about 3 feet) of space at the rear to ensure safety during use and to accommodate any
movement during intense workouts.
•Away from Moisture: Avoid placing the treadmill near water sources or in damp areas to
prevent electrical hazards and potential damage to the machine.
•Electrical Outlet: The treadmill should be near a grounded electrical outlet to avoid the use of
extension cords.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOCATION
Safety Key Function: The safety key is a crucial feature designed to stop the treadmill immediately
in case of emergencies. It's a two-part mechanism: one part plugs into the treadmill, and the other
attaches to the user's clothing.
Procedure:
1. Before starting your workout, ensure the safety key is correctly plugged into the treadmill.
2. Attach the clip end of the safety key to a secure part of your clothing.
3. In case of any emergency or if you drift too far back on the treadmill, the key will dislodge from
its slot, causing the treadmill to come to an immediate stop.
Note: It's essential to always use the safety key during treadmill mode. While it's not necessary
during walking mode, it's still recommended for added safety.
EMERGENCY STOP PROCEDURES
The Ascend X1 Compact Treadmill and Walking Pad is designed for your convenience and comes
fully assembled right out of the box. There's no need for any tools or complicated assembly
processes. Simply unbox, place in your desired location, and you're ready to begin your fitness
journey.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
•Position the Box: Place the box in
the location where you intend to use
the treadmill. This will make the setup
process smoother.
•Open the Box: Carefully cut the tape
and open the box. Avoid using sharp
objects that might damage the
treadmill.
•Remove Packaging Materials: Take
out all packaging materials and set
them aside. It's a good idea to keep
the packaging for at least 30 days in
case you need to return or move the
treadmill.
•Lift Out the Treadmill: With the help
of another person, gently lift the
treadmill out of the box and place it
on the floor.

Since the Ascend X1 // Compact 2 In 1 Treadmill And Walking Pad comes fully assembled, there's
minimal setup required. However, it's essential to ensure everything is calibrated and ready for your first
workout.
INITIAL SETUP AND CALIBRATION
Attach the Foot Pads
Carefully insert the front and back foot pads into their respective
holes on the base of the machine.

Set Up the Handrail
A. Gently lift the handrail of the treadmill into its upright position.
B. On each side of the running belt, locate the locking knobs. Use
these to secure the hand rail in place by tightening them.

STEP 3
Assemble the Handlebar and Accessories
A. Lift the handlebar into position and secure it by tightening the Handlebar Knob.
B. Slide the Handlebar Cover onto the handle rail. Using two Hex Bolts, fasten the
cover securely.
C. Using 2 hands, carefully attach the Tablet Holder to the handlebar, ensuring it's
in a convenient position for use.

Install the Cup Holder
A. Find the pre-installed screws on the post designated for the cup holder.
B. Position the cup holder against these screws and tighten it securely
using an Allen Wrench.

Note: Ensure all parts are securely fastened before using the treadmill. If you encounter any
issues or have questions during assembly, please refer to the troubleshooting section or
contact our customer support.
Plug In: Connect the power cord to the treadmill and
plug it into a grounded electrical outlet.
Safety Key: Locate the safety key, plug it on the
treadmill and attach the clip to your clothing. This is
a crucial safety feature that will stop the treadmill if
you fall or move too far back. Without this clip the
treadmill doesn’t work.
Power On: Turn on the treadmill using the power
button located on the control panel.
Calibration (if needed): Some treadmills may require
an initial calibration to ensure the belt runs smoothly.
Refer to the user manual for specific calibration
instructions.
Connect to Apps: If you wish to connect the
treadmill to the Zwift, Kinoma or Fitshow follow the
instructions provided in the user manual or on the
respective app's website.

•Speed Controls: Allows you to increase or decrease the speed of the treadmill. The speed range
for treadmill mode(When the handrails are up) is 1-12 km/h and for walking pad mode(When the
handrails are down) is 1-6 km/h.
•Program Selection: Lets you choose from the 6 pre-set programs tailored for different
workout goals.
•Safety Key Slot: Attach the safety to the side of the treadmill. It's a crucial feature that stops
the treadmill if you fall or move too far back.
•Display Screen: Shows vital workout metrics such as time, distance, speed, and calories burned.
Start/Stop Button: Use this button to begin or halt your
workout instantly, regardless of the training mode you're in.
Program Selection Button: Before starting your workout, use
this button to cycle through and choose from the six pre-set
training programs (P01-P06).
Mode: Press this button to switch between different displays.
Speed Increase Button: Press this button to incrementally
raise the speed of the treadmill and the values.
Speed Decrease Button: Press this button to incrementally
reduce the treadmill's speed and the values.

OPERATION
Warm-up and cool-down routines are essential for preparing the body for exercise and aiding
recovery afterward.
Warm-Up Routine (5-10 minutes)
1. Standing Leg Stretch:
•Stand upright and hold onto the treadmill's side rails or front bar.
•Bend one knee and bring your heel towards your buttocks.
•Hold the ankle with the hand on the same side, keeping knees together.
•Hold for 15-20 seconds, then switch legs.
2. Toe Touches:
•Stand with feet hip-width apart.
•Slowly bend forward from your waist and try to touch your toes.
•Hold for 10-15 seconds.
3. Walking on the Spot:
•Start by walking on the spot for 1-2 minutes.
•Gradually increase your pace until you're doing a light jog.
4. Treadmill Walk:
•Start the treadmill at a slow pace (1-3 km/h).
•Walk for 2-3 minutes, gradually increasing the speed.
Cool-Down Routine (5-10 minutes)
1. Treadmill Slow Walk:
•After your workout, reduce the treadmill's speed to a comfortable walking pace (1-3 km/h).
•Walk for 3-4 minutes, allowing your heart rate to decrease gradually.
2. Standing Quad Stretch
•Stand upright and hold onto the treadmill's side rails or front bar.
•Bend one knee and bring your heel towards your buttocks.
•Hold the ankle with the hand on the same side, keeping knees together.
•Hold for 15-20 seconds, then switch legs.
3. Calf Stretch:
•Stand facing the front of the treadmill, with hands on the front bar.
•Place one foot behind you, keeping the heel on the ground and toes pointing forward.
•Bend the front knee slightly until you feel a stretch in the calf of the back leg.

4. Deep Breathing:
•Stand or sit comfortably.

Setting Up:
1. Power On: Plug in the treadmill, place the safety key in position, and turn on the power switch.
The display will briefly show a program code, then fully light up. After a beep, it enters the manual
standby mode. You'll see:

speed using the remote control as you become comfortable.
Stopping: To stop the treadmill, gradually decrease the speed using the remote control until the
treadmill comes to a complete stop. Alternatively, you can pull the safety key to initiate an
emergency stop.
MANUAL MODE AND PRESET PROGRAMS
Manual Mode: This mode allows you to control the treadmill's speed and duration freely. Use the
remote control to adjust settings as you go.
Preset Programs: These are predefined workouts with set durations, speeds, and sometimes
inclines. Once you select a preset program, the treadmill will automatically adjust its settings
according to the program's parameters.
USING THE WALKING PAD MODE
The Ascend X1 // Compact 2 In 1 Treadmill And Walking Pad can also function as a walking pad,
offering a more relaxed and space-saving workout option.
Switch to Walking Pad Mode:
1. Fold the hand rail down.

reach of children.
WEEKLY MAINTENANCE
Inspect the Belt: Regularly check the treadmill belt for
signs of wear, such as fraying, unevenness, or any damage.
A well-maintained belt ensures a smooth workout
experience and reduces the risk of accidents. If you notice
the belt is not running smoothly or is making unusual
noises, it might need adjustment or replacement.
Check the Power Cord: Examine the power cord for any
signs of damage, fraying, or wear. A damaged cord can be
