▶DESIGN & OPTIONS - Q-BASE LED LINEAR HIGH BAY with built-in
motion sensor base is designed with die-cast aluminum housing to provide
excellent heat dissipation and an extended lifetime. The antiglare PC frosted lens
is impact-resistant and extremely tough. It comes with a 0-10V dimmable driver.
These xtures run on 120-277V circuits, and come in a 5,000K color temperature
with a WHITE nish.
▶INSTALLATION - These xtures have three dierent mounting options:
suspended, surface, and pendant. They can easily be suspended using the included
chains and V-hook. Surface and pendant mount brackets are also available (sold
separately). Refer to install instructions for detailed steps.
▶APPLICATION - Q-BASE LED LINEAR HIGH BAY are the perfect
commercial or industrial solution for warehouses, supermarkets, retail stores,
gyms, garages, general task areas, and many other applications. This xture is
also Damp Location rated and can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to
122°F (-40 to 50°C), allowing it to be utilized in a wide variety of applications and
climates.

Installation precautions:
1. Microwave sensor can be installed in any lamp except one with a full metal shell.
2. The detected surface cannot be shielded by metal objects.
3. Make sure the microwave module is completely exposed.
4. The detection surface of the sensor module should be installed facing the detection area.
Application environment:
1. Suitable for indoor installation to avoid false triggering due to external factors such as rain,
wind or tree movement.
2. Shall not be installed in a place with all metal walls or small spaces (such as galvanized-
iron roof ).
3. Shall be mounted securely, to avoid any false triggers caused by movement of the xture
itself.
4. Shall not be installed next to large operating machines such as a ventilator or ceiling fan,
to avoid false triggers caused by machine vibration.
User notes:
1. Microwaves can penetrate walls or glass thinner than 20 mm but will be impaired if
thicker than 20 mm.
2. The driver voltage shall be stable and oat within 10%.
3. Detection area will be aected by speed of motion, mounting height and movement
volume.
4. Conduct testing with adequate ambient lighting for best results.
DAYLIGHT SENSOR:
1. Turns on the light when ambient light is low.
2. Dims the light as the ambient light progresses, with daylight harvesting
function.
3. Turns the light o with enough ambient light.

MICROWAVE/PIR SENSOR
(WITHOUT DAYLIGHT PRIORITY):
1. With insucient ambient brightness, sensor turns light ON, even without
motion.
2. Sensor turns light ON 100% when motion is detected and holds for the
designated hold time aer motion is no longer detected.
3. Sensor dims light to standby dimming level aer hold time if there’s still no
motion detected.
4. Sensor turns light OFF aer standby period.

MICROWAVE/PIR SENSOR
(WITH DAYLIGHT PRIORITY):
1. With insucient ambient brightness, sensor turns light ON and maintains the
standby dimming level even when there’s no motion detected.
2. When sensor detects motion or presence, it will illuminate light to 100%.
3. Aer motion or presence is no longer detected, it will maintain 100% for the
designated hold time.
4. Aer the preset hold time, it will dim light to standby dimming level and maintain.
(with sucient ambient brightness, sensor will light OFF light automatically).

The distance between the antenna and
the glass (dielectric material) should be
no less than 13mm when the sensor is
within the glass lampshade. Otherwise,
the microwave motion sensor will not
penetrate the glass easily.

emission, the microwave sensor can
not be covered with metal materials,
be sprayed with a coating of metal
components, or have attached metal
material or stickers etc.

The sensor should not be placed in a small
conned space. To avoid increasing the sensor
detection range or abnormal operation, the
sensor should be kept away from large areas of
metal and glass reectors (separation distance
at least 1m). Reduce the detection area setting
or contact Merrytek for more help.

Sensor programming:
1. ON/OFF button to turn on the light.
2. SCENE button to start programming.
3. Press the Detection Area button, the icon will blink on the LCD screen, use the
+ - buttons to adjust.
4. Use the same process to change the hold time, standby dimming level, standby
period, and daylight threshold.
* Icon will blink for 5s meaning the program has been saved.
* When a button is pressed, the light will signal remote connection by dimming and then
resuming 100%.
* Number on LCD screen display may keep changing 10 %-100 %.
Manual dimming:
ON/OFF mode:
1. ON/OFF button to turn on the light.
2. Press + - button to dim light directly, it dims from 10 % to 100 % while in
dimming mode.
Manual dimming:
Motion sensor mode:
1. ON/OFF button to turn on the light.
2. SCENE button to start programming.
3. POWER button.
4. Use the + - buttons to dim light, the light will only dim down to 60%, anything
less will only be a standby dimming level option.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
Please read all the instructions below before installation.
▶Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds to the rated product voltage.
▶The product must be installed by a qualied electrician in accordance with the
National Electrical Code and corresponding local codes.
▶If the product is damaged, do not use it.
WARNING
RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY – READ and follow all WARNINGS and
installation instructions. Keep or give to the owner for future reference.
Risk of cuts: Wear gloves to prevent cuts or abrasions when removing from
carton, handling, installing, and maintaining this product.
Risk of electric shock: This product must be installed in accordance with the
applicable installation code by a person familiar with the construction and
operation of the product and the hazards involved.
Risk of Fire: Minimum 194°F supply conductors. Consult a qualied electrician to
ensure correct branch circuit conductor.

1. Insert V-hooks into both ends of the
xture. Secure chain to ceiling, beam or
other mounting surface.
2. Unscrew and open backplate, use
screwdriver to open one knockout on it.
3. Connect the wires: Black to Black,
White to White, Green to Green. If you are
not using the dimming wires cap them o
but not together. Reattach knockout plate
to top of the xture and x in with screw.

1. Fix the brackets to ceiling, beam, joist
or rail. (bolts not included).
2. Connect the wires: Black to Black,
White to White, Green to Green.
3. Attach the xture to the bracket and
x with one screw per each side of the
bracket.

1. Assembly metal hose with connectors
and attach bracket’s side plate to one
side. Install the bracket on 3/4" NPT pipe.
Bracket does not include nuts or screws
for mounting to surface.
2. Unscrew and take o xture’s
backplate, open one knockout on it using
screwdriver. Than attach backplate to
free end of the metal hose. Attach the
bracket by putting the bracket’s hooks
into the slots in the center of the housing.
Fix the bracket with screws. Connect the
wires: Black to Black, White to White,
Green to Green.
3. Attach the backplate toit’s pace and
x with screw. Align the studs of the side
plate with the slots in the housing, set up
the side plates, and x them with screws.

WIRE GUARD
1. Slide the wire guard from the side to
the bottom.
2. Fix the wire guard with screws on both
sides.
