THANK YOU for choosing an Asept-Air product. We understand you had other brands to choose from and
appreciate your business and confidence in our brand. This product embodies decades of experience in the
development, design and manufacture of air handling, climate control and air purification systems, products and
technologies. We are proud of our products and sincerely hope you enjoy using them as much as we do bringing
them to you. Please take a few minutes to read this manual and familiarize yourself with your model’s features,
functions and operation.

FOR USE IN DRY INDOOR SPACES ONLY
BEFORE USING YOUR AIR PURIFIER FOR THE FIRST TIME, BE SURE TO REMOVE ALL PROTECTIVE
COVERINGS FROM THE FILTERS.
1. UNIT PLACEMENT
a) This air purifier must be placed on a solid surface, preferably an uncarpeted floor.
b) DO NOT operate this air purifier if placed higher than 20”/50cm above the floor.
c) LEAVE a MINIMUM CLEARANCE of 12”/30cm on each side and 24”/60cm above the unit for proper airflow.
d) DO NOT place the unit in any way that will obstruct or block its air intakes or outlets.
e) DO NOT place unit near curtains or other objects that could be drawn in and restrict airflow.
f) DO NOT place unit in front of radiators, baseboard heaters, fireplaces or any other heat sources.

2. FILTERS AND PURIFICATION STAGES
The Life Cell 1550 UV is a robust and efficient yet flexible air filtration system that helps transform poor quality
contaminated indoor air into clean purified air by passing the room’s air through 5 stages of filtration.

Check filters biweekly, Clean quarterly, and Replace annually, or as needed.
3. AIR PURIFIER OPERATION
3.1. Unpack your air purifier making sure you remove all packaging materials, including the protective coverings from
the filters.
3.2. Plug the unit into a suitable 110VAC power outlet. As with any electronic device, using an approved surge
protected outlet or power bar is recommended.
3.3. Once connected to a live power source the unit will chime once, the LED display will flash briefly and the
Stand-By Indicator (L 5.6) will illuminate continuously until the power button is pressed.
3.4. Pressing the power button once will turn the unit on and allow you to set the fan speed and select other features
and operating modes. Pressing the power button again will turn the unit off.

5. LED DISPLAY (M)
Your air purifier is equipped with a full function LED display which shows the operating status of the unit as
follows:
5.1. Check Filter Indicator
Your air purifier is equipped with a CHECK FILTER indicator to provide a visual reminder to check, clean
and replace, if necessary, the filters in your air purifier. The check filer indicator is only a visual reminder
and not an indicator of the actual condition of the filters. The reminder illuminates continuously in the LED
Display after approximately 3,000 hours (4 months) of operation, and begins to blink after 3,500 hours
lapsed time since its last reset.
5.1.1 ‘CHECK FILTER’ Timer Reset
Using the Function Buttons (L) press and hold down both the FAN SPEED and AUTO buttons
simultaneously for about 3 seconds until the unit chimes once and the LED Display briefly flashes “CL" to
confirm you have successfully reset the internal Check Filter timer. NOTE: This procedure cannot be
performed using the remote control. You must use the buttons on the control panel.
All filters should be checked bi-weekly, cleaned every 3 months and replaced annually for optimal efficiency
and performance. If your indoor air quality is particularly poor or dusty, you may need to check, clean
and/or replace the filters more frequently.
5.2. Fan Speed Indicator – Displays the currently selected fan speed setting – Quiet, Low, Medium, High.
5.3. AUTO Mode Indicator – Illuminates when AUTO Mode is activated. When not lit, unit in MANUAL Mode.
5.4. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Indicators (Dust & Odor)
The levels of Dust and Odors in the ambient air are shown by the IAQ Indicators in the LED Display. Each IAQ
Indicator operates independent of the other. There are 5 levels of air quality for each indicator and as the presence of
contaminants increases, the number of “wavy” lines shown by the IAQ Indicators will increase. As air quality improves
the number of wavy lines will decrease. The IAQ Indicators will show the air quality as indicated below:

* Automatically set when unit is in AUTO Mode.
5.5. Ultraviolet Lamp Status Indicators – Illuminates to indicate non-functioning UV lamp (UV1 or UV2).
When either the “UV1” or “UV2” icons illuminate, it means that the indicated UV lamp is not working
properly. There are 2 possible causes for this:
1. Either the indicated lamp is not properly seated in its sockets in which case you need to remove and
then reinsert the lamp as indicated in sections 8.4.4 and 8.5.1.

2. The indicated lamp is burned out and needs to be replaced. A burnt-out lamp is usually identified by
the presence of a thick and opaque black ring around the inside of the glass tube on either or both ends
just before the ceramic end caps, as shown in the diagrams below. Replacement is described in
sections 8.4.4 and 8.5.1. We suggest UV lamps always be replaced in pairs.

5.6. Stand-By Indicator – Illuminates when unit is connected to a live power source but not operating.
5.7. Shut-Off Timer Indicator – Displays the number of hours your air purifier will operate before shutting off.
5.8. Purify Air Feature Indicator – Illuminates when PURIFY AIR feature is activated.
6. OPERATION
6.1. POWER Button (K) - The power button is used to turn the unit on or off. The illuminated ring around its outside
edge indicates the fan speed with green = quiet, blue = low, orange = medium and red = high.
6.2. FUNCTION Buttons (L)
6.2.1 FAN SPEED Button
When in MANUAL Mode, the FAN SPEED button is used to cycle through the fan speeds to select the
one that suits your needs. Pressing it when the unit is in AUTO Mode, switches the unit to MANUAL
Mode.
6.2.2 TIMER Button
Once your air purifier is running, pressing the TIMER button will activate the TIMER MODE. You then
set the timer according to your needs.
6.2.3 AUTO Button
Turns the AUTO Mode on and off. When the AUTO Mode is activated, the AUTO indicator illuminates
in the LED Display. When AUTO indicator is not lit, the unit is in MANUAL Mode.
6.2.4 PURIFY AIR Button
Turns the PURIFY AIR feature (UV lamps and PCO Chamber on and off when the unit is in MANUAL
Mode. It is disabled when the unit is in AUTO mode.
6.3. REMOTE CONTROL (O)
6.3.1 Remote Operation
Your Life Cell 1550 UV air purifier comes with an line-of-sight Infrared remote control that permits
operating the unit from a distance of up to 30’/9m away. To use the remote simply point it directly at
the front panel of your unit. The remote must have a direct view of your unit’s front panel to function
properly.
6.3.2 Buttons Description
On/Off: Turns the unit on or off.
Fan Speed: Adjusts the fan speed.
Timer+: Increases the timer in 1 hour increments.
Timer-: Decreases the timer in 1 hour increments.
Auto: Turns the Auto Mode on or off.
Purify Air: Turns the Purify Air Mode on or off.

NOTE: Remote control cannot be used to reset CHECK FILTER timer.
6.3.3 Battery Installation/Replacement
a. On the back of the remote use your thumbnail or a coin to gently pry the battery cover locking tab
open to remove the battery cover and gain access to the battery compartment.
b. Be sure to correctly install the batteries in the proper orientation as indicated on the inside back
panel of the battery compartment.
c. Reinstall battery cover by first inserting orientation tabs on cover into body of remote and then
gently closing cover until lock tab engages.
NOTE: Using force or rough handling of battery cover can break-off locking tab.
7. OPERATING MODES
7.1. MANUAL Mode
Your air purifier has four different fan speeds to choose from. By pressing the FAN SPEED button, you can cycle
through the speeds to achieve the desired setting. Each speed is indicated by a different icon in the LED Display
(M) and a different coloured ring around the Power Button(K) with Green = Quiet, Blue = Low, Orange =
Medium, and Red = High.
7.2. TIMER Mode
Your air purifier is equipped with a programmable shut-off timer. By pressing TIMER button, you can cycle
the shut-off timer in 1 hour increments to a maximum of 12 hours. The LED Display indicates the number
of hours selected. To cancel the timer, once you reach 12 hours, press the TIMER button once more, the
timer will disappear.
7.3. AUTO Mode
In AUTO Mode the unit automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the ambient air quality as detected by
the dust and odor sensors. As the presence of contaminants increase, the unit’s fan speed will increase,
and as the air quality improves, the fan speed will decrease. In AUTO Mode both the germicidal ultraviolet
lamps and the photocatalytic oxidation chamber are working by default. To activate AUTO Mode, press the
AUTO button on the control panel once. The AUTO icon will illuminate to show that AUTO Mode has been
activated. To switch to MANUAL Mode from AUTO Mode, press the AUTO or FAN SPEED button, the
AUTO indicator will go out and the unit is now in MANUAL Mode.
8. MAINTENANCE
8.1. FILTER CLEANING
To ensure optimal operation and efficiency of your Asept-Air Life Cell air purifier, you should check filters
bi-weekly, clean them quarterly and replace them annually. If your indoor air quality is particularly dusty or
contaminated, you may need to check, clean and replace the filters more frequently. Failure to check,
clean and replace the filters regularly will restrict airflow, reduce efficiency and shorten the life-span of your
air purifier.
8.1.1 Washable Prefilter – After removing the Front Panel, see section 0, gently vacuum the front (dirty) surface
of the prefilter using the dusting brush attachment to remove as much of the trapped dust as possible. You
can then remove this filter, see section 8.4.1. and take it outside to shake then thoroughly rinse from the
back (clean) side under a kitchen faucet or with the garden hose. Lay flat or hang to dry. DO NOT
machine wash or put in dryer. Inspect every 2 weeks, Clean every 3 months, and replace annually,
or as required.
8.1.2 HEPA/Carbon Filter – With the prefilter removed use the vacuum cleaner to gently vacuum the facing
surface of the filter using the dusting brush attachment. DO NOT WET THIS FILTER Inspect every 2
weeks, Clean every 3 months, and replace annually, or as required.
8.1.3 Ultraviolet Lamps – With the HEPA/Carbon filter removed carefully remove each UV lamps by gently
twisting counter clockwise, towards you, until lamp pins are aligned with socket slot and lamps can be
removed by pulling straight out towards you. Wipe each lamp tube with a slightly dampened cloth and dry
fully before reinserting into socket. Inspect every 2 weeks, Clean every 3 months, and replace annually.
ALWAYS handle UV lamps with care as they are fragile like any other light bulb.
8.1.4 Photocatalytic Oxidation Chamber (PCO) – With the UV lamps removed, use the vacuum cleaner to
gently vacuum the metal mesh surface using the dusting brush attachment. DO NOT WET THIS
ELEMENT. Inspect every 2 weeks and clean every 3 months, or as required. This element is
permanent and does not need regular replacing.
8.2. CONTROL PANEL AND HOUSING CLEANING
1. ALWAYS unplug the unit from its power source before performing any maintenance.
2. Remove dust and dirt by gently vacuuming using a dusting brush attachment. Wipe down surfaces with a
lint-free cloth slightly dampened with dish soap and water.

3. NEVER use abrasive pads, harsh cleansers, solvents, furniture polishes or detailing waxes as they will
permanently damage your unit’s surfaces.
4. NEVER spray liquids or powders inside the unit.
8.3. SENSOR CLEANING
1. To remove built up dust from sensor inlets (I & N), use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attached or an old
tooth brush and gently wipe across sensor openings.
2. NEVER spay liquids or cleaners into sensor inlets as this will permanently damage the sensors.
3. NEVER use compressed air to blow dust from sensor inlets as this will permanently damage the sensors.
8.4. FILTER REMOVAL
8.4.1 Front Panel Removal:
Using the front panel removal tool, or any non-conductive item such as a plastic utensil, wooden chop stick
or similar, insert the tool or item into the uppermost side air intake slot and gently push outwards against the
back surface of the front panel until the top corner of the front panel ‘pops’ free, as shown below.

Repeat this process for the other side and then lift the entire front panel up and away from the main body,
exposing the filter compartment. Place the front panel out of the way and protect it from damage.
NOTE: Any non-conductive implement such as the handle of a plastic utensil, a wooden chopstick
or similar item can be used in place of the tool provided with your unit.
8.4.2 Washable Prefilter Removal:
After removing the front panel, gently turn the 4 filter retaining swivel tabs located in the corners of the
filtering compartment 90° to either side to release the filters as shown in illustration ’A’ below. Grasp
the prefilter on one of its edges and gently pull towards you to remove it.
8.4.3 HEPA/Carbon Filter Removal:
After removing the prefilter, grasp the small white fabric pull-tabs located on the top of filter 2 and
gently pull towards you as shown in illustration ‘B’ below. If the filter resists or seems stuck, apply a
consistent and increasing pull on the tabs until the filter releases. You may have to repeat this
procedure several times to release the filter as the edge seals create resistance during removal. DO
NOT pull abruptly, with a jerking motion, or unevenly on the tabs as they may separate from the filter
frame damaging the filter and making the task of removing it difficult.
8.4.4 Ultraviolet Lamp Removal:
After removing the prefilter and HEPA/Carbon filters, the UV lamps will be accessible and can be
removed by gently grasping the lamp by both ceramic end caps and rotating the lame in either
direction approximately 90, (1/4 turn), until the end pins are horizontal and the lamp is loose in the
socket. You should now be able to pull the bulb straight out towards you as shown in illustration ‘C’
below.
NEVER put excessive force or use pliers on the glass or end caps as this may cause the bulb to break
causing personal injury or property Damage.
ALWAYS handle UV lamps with care as they are fragile like any other light bulb.

8.5. FILTER INSTALLATION
Working in the reverse order, follow these steps to reinstall your filters:
8.5.1 Ultraviolet Lamp Installation:
Grasping lamp gently by end caps, align pins horizontally with slot in lamp socket and insert pins fully
into socket. Rotate the lamp in either direction approximately 90°, (1/4 turn), until the bulb locks into
place as shown in illustration 1 below.
NEVER put excessive force or use pliers on the glass or end caps as this may cause the bulb to
break causing personal injury or property Damage.
ALWAYS handle UV lamps with care as they are fragile like any other light bulb.
8.5.2 HEPA/Carbon Filter Installation:
After installing the UV lamps, place the HEPA/Carbon filter inside the unit with the white pull-tabs on
top, facing out towards you, and with its bottom edge resting on the back, bottom edge of the filtering
compartment. With your fingers only on the frame near the top, gently push filter into the housing
until it fully and firmly seats against the back of the filtering compartment as shown in illustration 2
below.
8.5.3 Washable Prefilter Installation:
Place the prefilter into the housing against the HEPA/Carbon with the same side facing out as was
before removal, while holding it in place rotate the filter retaining swivel locking tabs to secure the
filters in place as shown in illustration 3 below.
8.5.4 Front panel installation:
Place the bottom tabs of the front panel into the slots on the bottom of the housing and pivot the cover
inwards while using your thumbs to gently press inwards on the upper outer corners of the panel until
it fully seats. Release pressure and cover should now be held in place; see illustration 4 below.

10. WARRANTY
STANDARD and OPTIONAL LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTIES
All of our products are designed, manufactured and tested to the highest standards, but things do happen, which is
why we provide the following Standard Warranty on all our products, and offer an optional Limited Lifetime Warranty
on qualifying products.

STANDARD WARRANTY
Asept-Air warrants, to the original purchaser, for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase, that this product is
free of manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY (LLW)
In addition to Standard Warranty, Asept-Air offers an optional Limited Lifetime Warranty program at additional cost on certain
products and models. By enrolling in the LLW Program, Asept-Air warrants, to the original purchaser, for as long as they own their
registered product and remain in the LLW Program, that the product is free of manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
Each year in the anniversary month of your original purchase, a complete filter kit for your model will be sent to you with the first kit
being sent within 6-8 weeks after enrolling in the LLW Program, and then annually. You may opt out of the LLW Program at any
time by notifying Asept-Air in writing, in which case your LLW Warranty coverage will expire on the next renewal date.
To see if your product is eligible and to obtain pricing information on the LLW Program simply choose “Yes” for subscribe to limited
lifetime warranty when completing your warranty registration online. To enroll, follow the instructions online. If you are not able to
select the “Yes” option when registering your product, it means that the LLW program is not available for your product model, your
geographical location, or both.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL WARRANTIES
This warranty does not cover consumables such as filters, uv lamps or batteries, products which are used in commercial
or industrial applications, or products damaged by neglect, lack of maintenance, misuse, abuse, tampering,
modification, power surges, improper installation or handling.

ALL PACKAGING, SHIPPING COSTS, TAXES AND DUTIES INCURRED FOR CLAIMS UNDER THIS WARRANTY ARE THE
SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PRODUCT OWNER.
Should asept-air determine that your product is defective in accordance with the terms of this warranty, asept-air, or its
authorized service representative, will at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product free of charge provided it is
returned in its original packaging and an original proof of purchase is provided. Asept-air or its authorized service
representative may use refurbished parts or units in the fulfillment of its obligations hereunder. This warranty is
non-transferrable.
Claims made under this warranty, which at the determination of asept-air or its authorized service representatives, are
the result of abuse, misuse, tampering, unauthorized modifications or other phenomenon beyond the control of
asept-air, are not covered under any warranty and may be subject to additional service, handling and parts charges.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER and LIMITATIONS
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties
of merchantability and fitness for a particular use or purpose. Asept-air’s total liability with respect to defects in materials and
workmanship shall be, at asept-air’s determination, limited to providing replacement parts, repairing, or replacing the product.
Asept-air will not be responsible for installing replacement parts or for providing the labour to install replacement parts provided
hereunder. Except as stated in the immediately preceding sentence, asept-air shall have no liability, whether under a cause of
action in tort, strict liability, contract, or otherwise, to any person for any claim, injury, loss, damage or expense (including any
direct, indirect, special, consequential, incidental, punitive or exemplary damages) in any way arising out of or relating to its
product or use by any person.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on an implied warranty or on how long an implied warranty lasts, so any such limitation
in asept-air’s general warranty may not apply to you. In addition, some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of
incidental, consequential or other damages so any such exclusions or limitations in asept-air’s general warranty may not apply to
you. Asept-air’s general warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to
jurisdiction.
11. FILING A WARRANTY CLAIM
If you believe that your Asept-Air product has a defect in either materials or workmanship during the applicable
warranty period, you may file a warranty claim by sending an email to [e-mail]. Once your claim
has been received, we will contact you to provide details on getting your product serviced.

1. EMPLACEMENT DE L'APPAREIL
a. Ce purificateur d'air doit être placé sur une surface solide, préférablement sur un plancher sans tapis.
b. NE PAS UTILISER ce purificateur d'air si placé plus élevée que 20 "/ 50 cm au-dessus du sol.
c. LAISSER UN DÉGAGEMENT MINIMAL de 12 "/ 30 cm de chaque côté et 24" / 60 cm au-dessus de l'appareil
pour une ventilation adéquate.
d. NE PAS placer l'appareil d'une façon qui va entraver ou bloquer ses entrées et sorties d'air.
e. NE PAS placer l'unité près de rideaux ou d'autres objets qui pourraient être tirées et restreindre le flux d'air.
f. NE PAS placer l'unité devant les radiateurs, les plinthes chauffantes, des cheminées ou d'autres sources de
chaleur.

3. PURIFICATEUR AIR FONCTIONNEMENT
3.1. Déballez votre purificateur d'air en vous assurant de retirer tous les matériaux d'emballage, y compris le
couvercle de protection des filtres.
3.2. Branchez l'appareil dans une prise de courant appropriée 110 VAC. Comme pour tout autre appareil
électronique, il est recommandé d'utiliser une prise de courant ou une prise secteur approuvée.
3.3. Une fois connecté à une source d'alimentation sous tension l'appareil émet un coup, l'affichage LED clignote
brièvement ly et l'indicateur de veille (L 5.6) sera illuminer jusqu'à ce que le bouton d'alimentation soit pressée.
3.4. En appuyant sur le bouton d'alimentation l'appareil sera allumer et vous permet de régler la vitesse du
ventilateur et de choisir d’autres caractéristiques et des modes de fonctionnement. En appuyant de nouveau sur
le bouton d'alimentation, l'appareil s'éteindra.

5. AFFICHAGE DEL (M)
Votre purificateur d'air est équipé d'un affichage à DEL pleine fonction qui affiche l'état de fonctionnement de
l'appareil comme suit:
5.1. L'Indicateur de Vérifier le filtre
Votre purificateur d'air est équipé d'un indicateur CHECK FILTER pour fournir un rappel visuel pour vérifier,
nettoyer et remplacer, si nécessaire, les filtres de votre purificateur d'air. L'indicateur de contrôle est
seulement un rappel visuel et non un indicateur de l'état réel des filtres. Le l’indicateur s'allume en
permanence sur l'écran DEL après environ 3 000 heures (4 mois) de fonctionnement et commence à
clignoter après 3 500 heures écoulées depuis sa dernière réinitialisation.
5.1.1 Réinitialisation de la minuterie "CHECK FILTER"
Utilisation les Touche de fonction (L) appuyez et maintenez enfoncer à la fois la des boutons de FAN
SPEED et AUTO simultanément pendant environ 3 secondes jusqu'à ce que l'appareil sonne une fois
et l'écran DEL clignote brièvement "CL" pour confirmer que vous avez réinitialisé la minuterie de
vérification du filtre interne. NOTE: Cette procédure ne peut pas être effectuée à l'aide de la
télécommande. Vous devez utiliser les boutons du panneau de commande.
Tous les filtres doivent être vérifiés toutes les deux semaines, nettoyés tous les 3 mois et remplacés
annuellement pour une efficacité et une performance optimales. Si votre qualité d'air intérieur est
particulièrement mauvaise ou poussiéreuse, vous devrez peut-être vérifier, nettoyer et / ou remplacer les
filtres plus fréquemment.
5.2. Indicateur de la vitesse du ventilateur - Affiche le réglage de vitesse du ventilateur actuellement
sélectionné – Calme (Quiet), Faible (Low), Moyen (Medium), Élevé (High).
5.3. Indicateur mode AUTO - Illumintes lorsque le mode AUTO est activé. Quand il n'est pas allumé, l'appareil
passe en mode MANUEL.
5.4. Indicateurs de la Qualité de l'air intérieur (QAI) (poussière et odeur)
Les niveaux de poussière et d'odeurs dans l'air ambiante sont indiqués par les indicateurs QAI sur
l'affichage DEL. Chaque indicateur QAI fonctionne indépendamment de l'autre. Il y a 5 niveaux de qualité
de l'air pour chaque indicateur et lorsque la présence de contaminants augmente, le nombre de lignes
«ondulées» indiquées par les indicateurs de la QAI augmentera. À mesure que la qualité de l'air s'améliore,
le nombre de lignes ondulées diminuera. Les indicateurs de la QAI indiqueront la qualité de l'air comme
indiqué ci-dessous:

5.5. Indicateurs d'état de la lampe à rayons ultraviolets – S’allume pour indiquer q’une lampe UV (UV1 ou UV2)
ne fonctionne plus. Lorsque les icônes «UV1» ou «UV2» s'allument, cela signifie que la lampe UV indiquée ne
fonctionne pas correctement. Il y a 2 causes possibles pour cela:
1. Si la lampe indiqué n’est pas bien en place, dans ses prises, dans ce cas, vous devez la retieàrez et la
rebranchez comme indiqué dans les sections 8.4.4 et 8.5.1.
2. Ou bien la lampe indiquée est brûlée et doit être remplacé. Une lampe brulée est habituellement
indictée par la présence d'un anneau épais, opaque et noir autour de l'intérieur du tube de verre sur l'un
ou les deux extrémités juste avant les embouts en céramique comme indiqué dans les schémas ci -
dessous. Le eeplacement des lampes est décrite dans la section de la 8.4.4 et 8.5.1. Nous suggérons
des lampes UV toujours être remplacées en paires.

5.6. Indicateur de Veille - S'allume lorsque l'unité est connectée à une source d'alimentation en direct mais n’est
pas en marche.
5.7. Indicateur d'arrêt de la minuterie - Affiche le nombre d'heures pendant lesquelles votre purificateur d'air
fonctionnera avant de s'éteindre.
5.8. Indicateur de fonction Purify Air - S'allume lorsque la fonction PURIFY AIR est activée.
6. OPÉRATION
6.1. Bouton d’Alimentation (K) - Le bouton d'alimentation est utilisé pour mettre l'appareil en marche ou en arrêt.
L'anneau lumineux autour de son bord extérieur indique la vitesse du ventilateur avec vert = silencieux, bleu =
bas, orange = milieu et rouge = haut.
6.2. Touches de function (L)
6.2.1 Bouton FAN SPEED
En mode MANUEL, le bouton VITESSE VENTILATEUR est utilisé pour faire défiler les vitesses du
ventilateur pour sélectionner celle qui convient à vos besoins. En appuyant sur cette touche lorsque
l'appareil est en mode AUTO, l'appareil passe en mode MANUEL.
6.2.2 Bouton de TIMER
Une fois que votre purificateur d'air est en marche, appuyer sur la touche TIMER active le MODE
TIMER. Vous réglez ensuite la minuterie en fonction de vos besoins.
6.2.3 Bouton AUTO
Active et désactive le mode AUTO. Lorsque le mode AUTO est activé, le voyant AUTO s'allume dans
la diode Disply. Lorsque l'indicateur AUTO n'est pas allumé, l'appareil est en mode MANUEL.
6.2.4 Bouton PURIFY AIR
Active ou désactive la fonction PURIFY AIR (lampes UV et PCO Chvamber lorsque l'appareil est en
mode MANUEL. Il est désactivé lorsque l'appareil est en mode AUTO.
6.3. TÉLÉCOMMANDE (O)
6.3.1 Fonctionnement à distance
Votre purificateur d'air UV Life Cell 1550 est livré avec une télécommande infrarouge de ligne visée
qui permet de faire fonctionner l'appareil à une distance maximale de 30 pieds (9m). Pour utiliser la
télécommande, il suffit de la pointer directement sur le panneau devant de votre appareil. La
télécommande doit avoir une vue directe du panneau pour que votre unité fonctionne correctement.

6.3.2 Description des boutons
On/Off: Met l'appareil en marche ou en arrêt.
Fan Speed: Permet de régler la vitesse du ventilateur.
Timer+: Augmente la minuterie par incréments de 1 heure.
Timer-: Diminue la minuterie par incréments de 1 heure.
Auto: Active ou désactive le mode Auto.
Purify Air: Active ou désactive le mode Puriofy Air.
REMARQUE: La télécommande ne peut pas être utilisée pour réinitialiser la minuterie CHECK
FILTER.
6.3.3 Installation / remplacement des piles
g. Sur le dos de la télécommande soulever délicatement le couvercle de la batterie pour avoir accès
au compartiment de la batterie.
h. Assurez-vous d'installer correctement les piles dans l'orientation appropriée, comme indiqué sur le
panneau à l’intérieur du compartiment des piles.
i. Réinstallez le couvercle de la batterie en insérant d'abord les languettes d'orientation sur le
couvercle dans le corps de la télécommande, puis en fermant doucement le couvercle jusqu'à ce
que l'onglet de verrouillage soit allumé.
REMARQUE: L'utilisation de la force ou de la manipulation brutale du couvercle de la batterie peut
rompre l'onglet de verrouillage.
7. MODES DE FONCTIONNEMENT
7.1. Mode MANUEL
Votre purificateur d'air a quatre choix différents de vitesse de ventilateur. En appuyant sur la touche FAN
SPEED, vous pouvez faire défiler les vitesses pour obtenir le réglage souhaité. Chaque vitesse est
indiquée par un icône différent dans l'écran à DEL (M) et une bague de couleur différente autour du bouton
d'alimentation (K) avec Vert = silencieux, Bleu = Bas, Orange = Moyen et Rouge = Haut.
7.2. Mode MINUTERIE
Votre purificateur d'air est équipé d'une minuterie d'arrêt programmable. En appuyant sur la touche TIMER,
vous pouvez faire tourner la minuterie d'arrêt par tranches de 1 heure jusqu'à un maximum de 12 heures.
L'écran DEL indique le nombre d'heures sélectionné. Pour annuler la minuterie, lorsque vous atteignez 12
heures, appuyez une fois sur la touche TIMER et la minuterie disparaîtra.
7.3. Mode AUTOMATIQUE
En mode AUTO, l'appareil ajuste automatiquement la vitesse du ventilateur en fonction de la qualité de l'air
ambiante telle que détectée par les capteurs de poussière et d'odeur. Au fur et à mesure que la présence
de contaminants augmente, la vitesse du ventilateur augmente et lorsque la qualité de l'air s'améliore, la
vitesse du ventilateur diminue. En mode AUTO, les lampes à ultraviolets germicides et la chambre
d'oxydation photocatalytique fonctionnent par défaut. Pour activer le mode AUTO, appuyez une fois sur la
touche AUTO du panneau de commande. L'icône AUTO s'allume pour indiquer que le mode AUTO est
activé. Pour passer au mode MANUEL du mode AUTO, appuyez sur la touche AUTO ou FAN SPEED,
l’indicateur AUTO s'éteint et l'appareil est maintenant en mode MANUAL.
8. ENTRETIEN
8.1. NETTOYAGE DES FILTRES
Pour assurer un fonctionnement et une efficacité optimale de votre purificateur d'air Asept-Air Life Cell,
vous devez vérifier les filtres tous les quinze jours, les nettoyer tous les trimestres et les remplacer
annuellement. Si votre qualité d'air intérieur est particulièrement poussiéreuse ou contaminée, vous devrez
peut-être vérifier, nettoyer et remplacer les filtres plus fréquemment. Ne pas vérifier, nettoyer et remplacer
les filtres régulièrement réduira le flux d'air, l'efficacité et la durée de vie de votre purificateur d'air.
8.1.1 Préfiltre lavable – Après avoir retiré le panneau avant, voir la section 8.4.1, aspiré doucement le coté sale
(devant) du préfiltre en utilisant la brosse d’un aspirateur pour enlever autant de la poussière piégée
possible. Vous pouvez ensuite enlever ce filtre, voir la section 8.4.1, et le secouer à l'extérieur en suivant le
rincer abondamment sous un robinet de cuisine ou avec le tuyau d'arrosage du côté (propre). Sécher le le
plat ou le suspendre. NE PAS laver à la machine ou Mettre dans le séchoir. Inspecter toutes les 2
semaines, Nettoyer tous les 3 mois, et remplacer chaque année, ou au besoin.
8.1.2 Filtre HEPA / Carbone – Avec le préfiltre retiré utiliser l'aspirateur pour aspirer délicatement la surface du
filtre en utilisant la brosse d’un aspirateur. NE PAS mouiller ce filter. Inspecter toutes les 2 semaines,
Nettoyer tous les 3 mois, et de remplacer chaque année, ou au besoin.
8.1.3 Lampes Ultraviolet – Avec le filtre HEPA/carbone retiré retirez soigneusement chaque lampes UV en
tournant doucement dans le sens anti-horaire, vers vous, jusqu'à ce que les broches de la lampe sont
alignées avec la fente de prise et les lampes peuvent être enlevées en tirant tout droit vers vous. Essuyez
chaque tube lampe avec un chiffon légèrement humidifié et séchez complètement avant de réinsérer dans
la douille. Inspecter toutes les 2 semaines, Nettoyer tous les 3 mois, et de remplacer chaque année.

TOUJOURS manipuler les lampes UV avec précaution car elles sont fragiles comme n'importe
quelle autre ampoule.
8.1.4 Chambre d'Oxydation Photocatalytique (PCO) - Avec les lampes UV retiré, utiliser l'aspirateur pour
aspirer doucement la surface de treillis métallique en utilisant la brosse d’un aspirateur. Ne mouillez pas cet
élément. Inspecter toutes les 2 semaines et Nettoyer tous les 3 mois, ou au besoin. Cet élément
est permanent et ne nécessite pas le remplacement régulier.
8.2. NETTOYAGE DU PANNEAU DE COMMANDE ET DU BOÌTIER
1. TOUJOURS Débranchez l'appareil de sa source d'alimentation avant d'effectuer toute maintenance.
2. Retirez la poussière et la saleté en l'aspirant délicatement à l'aide d'une brosse d’un aspirateur.
Essuyez les surfaces avec un chiffon non pelucheux légèrement humidifié avec de l'eau et du savon à
vaisselle.
3. JAMAIS utiliser des tampons abrasifs, nettoyants puissants, solvants, vernis de meubles ou des cires
détaillant car ils peuvent endommager de façon permanente les surfaces de vos s'unité.
4. JAMAIS utiliser des produits pulvériser liquides ou en poudre à l'intérieur de l'unité.
8.3. Nettoyage des Capteurs
1. Pour enlever la poussière accumulée du capteur entrées (I & N), utilisez un aspirateur avec une brosse
douce ou une vieille brosse à dent et essuyez doucement les ouvertures des capteurs.
2. JAMAIS utiliser des liquides ou des produits de nettoyage dans les entrées de capteur car cela pourrait
endommager de façon permanente les capteurs.
3. JAMAIS utiliser de l'air compresser pour souffler l’entré des capteurs car cela pourrait les endommager
de façon permanente.
8.4. RETIRER LES FILTRE
8.4.1 Retrait du Panneau Avant
À l'aide de l'outil de retrait du panneau avant ou de tout objet non conducteur tel qu'un ustensile en
plastique, un bâton de bois ou similaire, insérez l'outil ou l'article dans la fente d'entrée d'air latérale
supérieure et poussez doucement vers l'extérieur contre la coin arrière du panneau avant jusqu'à la
face avant sort du boîtier, comme indiqué ci-dessous.

Répétez ce processus pour l'autre côté, puis soulevez tout le panneau avant vers le haut et loin du boîtier
principal, en exposant le compartiment du filtre. Placez le panneau avant à l'écart et protégez-le des
dommages.
REMARQUE: Tout outil non conducteur tel que la poignée d'un ustensile en plastique, un bâton en bois ou
un article similaire peut être utilisé à la place de l'outil fourni avec votre appareil.
8.4.2 Lavable préfiltre:
Après avoir enlevé le panneau avant, tournez doucement les 4 languettes pivotantes de retenue du
filtre situées dans les coins du compartiment filtrant à 90° de chaque côté pour libérer les filtres comme
indiqué sur l'illustration A ci-dessous. Saisissez le préfiltre sur l'un de ses bords et tirez doucement
vers vous pour le retirer.
8.4.3 HEPA/Carbone Filtre:
Après avoir retiré le préfiltre, saisissez les petits rubans blancs situées sur le dessus du filtre 2 et tirez
doucement vers vous comme illustré dans l'illustration B ci-dessous. Si le filtre résiste ou semble
bloqué, tirer un peut sur chaque pates jusqu'à ce que le filtre se libère. Vous devrez peut-être répéter
cette procédure plusieurs fois pour libérer le filtre car les joints de bord font une résistance pendant le

retrait. NE PAS tirer brusquement, avec un mouvement brusque, ou inégalement sur les rubans blancs
car ils peuvent se séparer de la trame de filtre et endommager le filtre qui rendant la tâche de retirer le
filtre difficile.
8.4.4 Lampes Ultraviolet:
Après avoir retiré le préfiltre et filtres HEPA/carbone, les lampes UV seront accessibles et peuvent être
doucement retirés par les deux embouts en céramique et en tournant dans les deux sens d'environ
90°, (1/4 de tour), jusqu'à ce que les broches d'extrémité son horizontales et la lampe est libre dans la
douille. Maintenant tirer l'ampoule vers vous, comme illustré dans l'illustration C ci-dessous.
JAMAIS mettre une force excessive ou utiliser des pinces sur le verre ou les bouchons car cela
pourrait provoquer la rupture de l'ampoule, causant des blessures ou des dommages matériels.
TOUJOURS manipuler les lampes UV avec précaution car elles sont fragiles comme n'importe quelle
autre ampoule.

8.5. INSTALLATION DU FILTRE
Dans l'ordre inverse, procédez comme suit pour réinstaller vos filtres:
8.5.1 Ultraviolet Lamp Installation:
Saisir la lampe doucement par les bouchons, aligner les broches horizontalement avec la fente dans
la douille de la lampe et insérer les broches dans la douille. Tourner la lampe dans une direction

JAMAIS mettre une force excessive ou utiliser des pinces sur le verre ou les bouchons car cela
pourrait provoquer la rupture de l 'ampoule, causant des blessures ou des dommages matériels.
TOUJOURS manipuler les lampes UV avec précaution car elles sont fragiles comme n'importe quelle
autre ampoule.
8.5.2 Installation du Filtre HEPA/Carbone:
Après avoir installé les lampes UV, placez le filtre HEPA/Carbone à l'intérieur de l'appareil avec les
rubans de tirage blancs vers le devant, orientées vers vous et le bord inférieur reposant sur le fond
arrière du compartiment filtrant. Avec vos doigts seulement sur le châssis près du haut, pousser
doucement le filtre dans le boîtier jusqu'à ce qu'il s'assoive complètement et fermement contre l'arrière
du compartiment filtrant comme illustré à l'illustration 2 ci-dessous.
8.5.3 Installation du Préfiltre Lavable:
Placez le préfiltre dans le boîtier contre le HEPA / Carbone avec le même côté orienté vers l'extérieur
comme avant l'enlèvement, tout en le tenant en place, faites tourner le filtre retenant les pattes de
verrouillage pivotantes pour fixer les filtres en place comme illustré à l'illustration 3 ci-dessous.
8.5.4 Installation du Panneau Avant:
Placez les pattes inférieures du panneau avant dans les fentes sur le fond du logement et faites pivoter
le couvercle vers l'intérieur tout en utilisant vos pouces pour presser doucement vers l'intérieur sur les
coins extérieurs supérieurs du panneau jusqu'à ce qu'il s'assoie complètement. Relâcher et le
couvercle devraient maintenant être maintenus en place; Voir l'illustration 4 ci-dessous.

GARANTIE STANDARD
Asept-Air garantit à l'acheteur initial, pendant une période d'un (1) an à compter de la date d'achat initiale, que ce
produit est exempt de défauts de fabrication de matériaux ou de fabrication.
GARANTIE À VIE LIMITÉE (LLW)
En plus de la garantie standard, Asept-Air offre un programme facultatif de garantie à vie limitée à un coût
supplémentaire pour certains produits et modèles. En s'inscrivant au programme LLW, les bons de souscription
d'Asept-Air, à l'acheteur original, tant qu'ils possèdent leur produit enregistré et restent dans le programme LLW, que
le produit est exempt de défauts de fabrication de matériaux ou de main-d'œuvre. Chaque année, dans le mois
anniversaire de votre achat original, un kit de filtre complet pour votre modèle vous sera envoyé avec le premier kit
envoyé dans les 6-8 semaines après s'être inscrit au programme LLW, puis annuellement. Vous pouvez vous retirer
du programme LLW à tout moment en informant Asept-Air par écrit, auquel cas votre garantie de garantie LLW
expirera à la prochaine date de renouvellement.
Pour savoir si votre produit est admissible et pour obtenir des informations sur les prix sur le programme LLW,
choisissez simplement «Oui» pour vous abonner à une garantie à vie limitée lorsque vous complétez votre
inscription en ligne. Pour vous inscrire, suivez les instructions en ligne. Si vous n'êtes pas en mesure de sélectionner
l'option «Oui» lors de l'enregistrement de votre produit, cela signifie que le programme LLW n'est pas disponible pour
votre modèle de produit, votre position géographique ou les deux.

RÉCLAMATIONS SOUS LA PRÉSENTE GARANTIE SONT LA SEULE RESPONSABILITÉ DU PROPRIÉTAIRE
DU PRODUIT.
