STANDARD WARRANTY
Asept-Air warrants, to the original purchaser, for a period of one (1) year from the original date of
purchase, this product to be free of defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty
excludes consumables such as filters and UV bulbs and does not cover defects caused by
misuse, abuse, tampering, modification or damages resulting from improper installation,
handling or power surges. Should Asept-Air determine that your product is defective in
accordance with the terms of this warranty, Asept-Air, or its authorized service representative,
will at its sole discretion, provide replacement parts, repair or replace the product free of charge
provided it is returned in its original packaging and an original proof of purchase is provided.
Asept-Air or its authorized service representative may use refurbished parts or units in the
fulfillment of its obligations hereunder. This warranty is non-transferrable. Please be sure to
register your product as indicated in the “Registering your product” section below. To file a
claim, please see the “Filing a Claim” section below.
LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY
In addition to the STANDARD WARRANTY included herein, Asept-Air is pleased to offer an
optional LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY program on qualifying units. Here’s how it works -
Asept-Air is so confident in the quality of its units, that as long as you change the consumables
(filters, UV bulbs etc) at the regular specified intervals, thus reducing unnecessary strain on the
unit and ensuring optimal operation, Asept-Air will warrant the unit for AS LONG AS YOU OWN
IT! Qualifying units include those marketed and sold under the Life Cell and Health Breath
brands only. To enroll in this LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY program, the original purchaser
must register their product and subscribe to the Automatic Filter Replacement Program,
administered through our online store, within thirty (30) days of purchase. This Lifetime Limited
Warranty excludes consumables such as filters and UV bulbs and does not cover defects caused
by misuse, abuse, tampering, modification or damages resulting from improper installation,
handling or power surges. For those qualifying units, that Asept-Air determines to be defective,
and for which the original purchaser has registered and subscribed to the automatic filter
replacement program within the time limit specified above, Asept-Air or its authorized service
representative will, at its sole discretion, provide replacement parts, repair or replace the product
free of charge for as long as you own it, provided it is returned in its original packaging and an

AUTOMATIC FILTER REPLACMENT PROGRAM
To take advantage of Asept-Air’s Lifetime Limited Warranty you must register your product within
thirty (30) days of purchase and you must subscribe to our Automatic Filter Replacement
Program. Failure to subscribe within the time limit specified above, will disqualify your unit from
inclusion in the Lifetime Limited Warranty program. In this program, Asept-Air will send you
automatically, at the interval specified for your unit, a complete set of replacement filters,
including UV bulbs (if applicable). All you have to do is replace the filters in your unit when the
new ones arrive. You can easily subscribe at the time of registering your product by either
visiting Asept-Air’s website at www.asept-air.com (Support ÆProduct Registration), or by calling
us M-F between 09:00 and 17:00 EST at 1 514 731 1858.
FILING A WARRANTY CLAIM
Should you believe that your Asept-Air product has a defect in either materials or workmanship
during the applicable warranty period, you may file a claim by either visiting Asept-Air’s website
at www.asept-air.com (Support ÆWarranty), or by calling us M-F between 09:00 and 17:00 EST
at 1 514 731 1858. Once your claim has processed, we will contact you (by email and/or phone)
to provide details on getting your product serviced. All postage, insurance and shipping charges
necessary for servicing under this warranty are the sole responsibility of the Purchaser.
Defective claims made under warranty, which at the determination of Asept-Air or its authorized
service representative, are the result of abuse, misuse, tampering, unauthorized modifications or
other phenomenon beyond the control of Asept-Air are not covered under warranty and may be
subject to additional service, handling and parts charges.

PROPER PLACEMENT OF THE UNIT
To obtain optimal operating efficiency and air purifying effectiveness, it is recommended that the unit be placed
either on the floor or at a maximum height of 20”/50cm off the floor. In either case it is important to make sure the
unit is placed on a solid, vibration free surface so that it will not fall over as this could damage the unit, its internal
components or cause other property damage or personal injury.
The unit may be placed in any room any moved from room to room as needed, however the best results will be
achieved if the unit is placed in the room in which you spend the most time in a given day, such as a bedroom, and
operated in Auto Mode 24 hours a day. Maximum effectiveness is achieved when the unit is operated around
the clock and run at as slow as speed as possible.

2. Filters and Purification Stages
2.1.Washable Prefilter
Captures larger particles such as dust, pollen, mold, pet dander and hair to prolong the life of the
HEPA filter and can be hand washed (rinsed) when dirty.
2.2.True HEPA Filter
This unit features a combination filter that consists of two layers with the first being a true HEPA filter
and the other is an activated carbon. The true HEPA filter captures particulates as small as 0.3micron
including germs, bacteria, viruses and other airborne contaminants. The carbon filter removes odors.
2.3.Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamps
The ultraviolet germicidal lamps (UV type ‘C’) can destroy residual bacteria and viruses as they pass
by.
2.4.Photocatalytic Oxidation Chamber:
The photocatalytic oxidation chamber decomposes toxic gases, odors and viruses from the air 300
times more effectively than standard activated carbon filters. The chamber is maintenance free as it
has the ability to self-clean itself and never needs replacing.
2.5.Dust and Gas sensors
These sensors continually sample the ambient air to determine and show graphically the air quality.
When in Auto mode, the unit will automatically adjust its fan speed to deal with changes in the
concentrations of dust and/or gases.
3. Control Panel Buttons
3.1.Power Button
The large circular button on the far right hand side of the control panel is used to turn the unit on and
off.
3.2.Fan Speed Button
This button is used to set one of the 4 different fan speeds with each speed being indicated by a
different colored ring of light around the On/Off button. Turbo is the highest speed and is indicated
by a red ring, Strong is indicated by an orange ring, Middle is indicated by a blue ring and Silent is
indicated by a green ring. Pressing the fan speed button in the Auto Mode or Purify Air mode will
switch the unit to Manual mode.
3.3.Purify Air Button
This button is used to turn the Purify Air mode on or off.
3.4.Auto Button
This button is used to turn the Auto mode on or off.

3.5.Timer Button
This button is used to set the automatic shut-off timer.
4. LED Display
This unit is equipped with a full function LED display which shows the operating status and condition
of the unit as follows:
4.1.Sensors and Air Quality Indicators
There levels of both Dust particles and the presence of Gases are shown in the LED Display: There
are 4 levels for each and as the presence of contaminants increases, the Air Quality Indicators will
change to show less than optimal air quality. As the air quality improves, the indicators will show the
air quality as indicated below:

4.2.Check Filter Indicator
After a total of 3,000 cumulative hours (125 days) of operation since the last reset, the Check Filter
indicator on the LED Display will illuminate as a reminder that you should check the filters and clean
or replace as necessary. If the prefilter is dirty hand wash, rinse and hang to dry, DO NOT MACHINE
WASH. Check the HEPA filter against the color shade guide on the filter frame to see if replacement
is necessary. Filters and ultraviolet germicidal lamps should be replaced at least once every 12
months to provide optimal efficiency and performance. If your air quality is particularly poor, you may
need to replace more often.
After checking/cleaning/replacing filters, press and hold both the “FAN SPEED” and “AUTO” buttons
simultaneously for 3 seconds to reset the Check Filter indicator. The LED Display will briefly flash
“CL” to indicate that you have successfully reset it. Please note that whenever the “FAN SPEED”
and “AUTO” buttons are pressed simultaneously and held for 3 seconds, the Check Filter indicator
timer will be reset.

If you do not reset the Check Filter indicator when it first appears, it will begin to flash after the unit has
been operated for a total of 3,500 cumulative hours as an additional reminder.
4.3.Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp Status Indicators
When either the “UV1” or “UV2” icons illuminate, it means that the related UV lamp is not working
properly. There are 2 possible causes: 1. The affected lamp is not properly seated in its sockets in
which case you should remove and reinsert the lamp as indicated in sections 9 and 10 below, or, 2.
The affected lamp is burned out and needs to be replaced. A burned out lamp is usually indicated by
a black ring around the inside of the glass tube on either or both ends just before the end caps as
shown in the image below. Replacement is described in sections 9 and 10 below. We suggest that
you replace the lamps in pairs.

4.4.Timer Indicator
When in Timer Mode the number of hours until shut-off will be displayed.
4.5.Purify Air Mode Indicator
Illuminates when the unit is in the Purify Air mode.
4.6.Auto Mode Indicator
Illuminates when the unit is in the Auto mode.
4.7.Fan Speed Indicator
Shows the current fan speed setting.
5. Operating Modes
5.1.Standby Mode
In the Standby mode, no letters or icons will be shown on the display, only a small red LED in the
bottom right corner of the LED Display will be illuminated to indicate that the unit is plugged into a
power source.
5.2.Manual Mode
In the Manual mode the fan is working to pull air through the filters but the germicidal ultraviolet lamps
are not on. To activate the manual mode, from the standby mode simply press the Power Button to

turn the unit on. The fan speed setting will be at the same level as what it was when the unit was last
used. To adjust the fan speed in Manual mode simply press the Fan Speed button to cycle through
the various speed levels.
5.3.Purify Air Mode
In the Purify mode, both the germicidal ultraviolet lamps and the photocatalytic oxidation chamber are
working and the fan speed is set manually using the Fan Speed button. This mode will provide
maximum purification of the air.
5.4.Auto Mode
In the Auto mode the unit automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the air quality as detected by
the dust and gas sensors. As the presence of contaminants increase, the unit’s fan speed will
increase and as the air quality improves, the fan speed will decrease. In the Auto mode both the
germicidal ultraviolet lamps and the photocatalytic oxidation chamber are working.
5.5.Timer Mode
In the Timer mode the unit automatically shuts off after the selected number of hours. The timer can
be set in any operating mode by pressing the Timer button on the control panel. Pressing the Timer
button repeatedly increases the timer in 1 hour increments to a maximum of 12, pressing it again once
12 is reached will turn the timer off.
6. Unit Operation
6.1. Plug the unit into a suitable source, the unit will chime and the LED panel will illuminate fully as
the unit goes through a self-test. At the end of the self-test the unit will automatically enter
Standby Mode.
6.2. Pressing the power button once will turn the unit on and the unit will begin operating in Manual
Mode with the Fan speed set to Strong.
6.3. The Gas sensor indicator will flash on and off indicating that it is taking air samples to determine
the presence of gases and will continue to flash until the levels of dust and gases are determined.
This may take several minutes to complete.
6.4. After 3 minutes the unit will automatically enter Auto Mode with fan speed set to Silent unless you
select any other operating modes or fan speeds within the 3 minute delay.
7. Remote Control
7.1.Remote Operation
This unit comes with an Infrared remote control to permit operating the unit from a distance of up to
30’/9m away. To use the remote simply point it, with lettering right side up, at the remote control
signal receiver on the front panel of the unit. The remote must have an unobstructed view of the
unit’s remote control signal receiver to function properly.
7.2.Buttons Description
1. ON/OFF: Turns the unit on or off.
2. Fan Speed: Adjusts the fan speed.

3. Timer+: Increases the timer in 1 hour increments.
4. Timer-: Decreases the timer in 1 hour increments.
5. Auto: Turns the Auto Mode on or off.
6. Purify Air: Turns the Purify Air Mode on or off.
7.3.Battery Installation/Replacement
1. On the back of the remote use your thumb nail or a coin to remove the battery cover and gain
access to the battery compartment.
2. Be sure to correctly install the batteries in the proper orientation as indicated on the inside back
panel of the battery compartment.
8. Maintenance
8.1. Cover and Housing Cleaning
8.1.1.Unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.
8.1.2.Clean the unit only when necessary. If the unit is used in a dirty environment it may need
cleaning more frequently.
8.1.3.Wipe the dirt with a slightly moistened cloth.
8.1.4.Only use water or neutral cleaning agents on the housing. Other cleaners may damage
the finish.
8.1.5.Caution: Never expose the housing to harsh cleansers. Carefully remove/replace the front
cover or the parts may be damaged.
8.2.Sensor Cleaning
8.2.1.To remove built up dust from blocking the sensor air inlets use a vacuum cleaner with a soft
brush attached and gently wipe across sensor openings.
8.2.2.DO NOT use compressed air to blow out dust as this may damage the sensors.
8.3.Filter Cleaning
To ensure optimal operation of you unit, you should clean the filters on a regular
basis to remove built-up contaminants and provide proper air flow.
8.3.1.Prefilter – First vacuum off loose dust and then hand wash in sink using mild detergent
(hand or dish soap), rinse thoroughly and lay flat or hang to dry. DO NOT machine wash.
Prefilter should be cleaned every 3 months and replaced after 1 year*.
8.3.2.HEPA/Carbon Filter – with prefilter removed use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush
attached and gently wipe across filter surface. HEPA/Carbon filter should be cleaned every
3-6 months and replaced after 1 year*..
8.4.Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp Cleaning
To remove built-up dust from UV Lamps use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attached and
gently wipe across lamps. UV lamps should be cleaned every 3-6 months and replaced after 1
year*
8.5.Photocatalytic Oxidation Chamber Cleaning
To clean the Photocatalytic Oxidation Chamber use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attached

and gently wipe chamber area.
* actual filter and UV lamp replacement periods may vary based on the environment in which the
unit is used. More contaminated environments will shorten filter life. Check filters regularly to
ensure optimal operation of the unit
9. Disassembly
9.1.Front cover removal:
Using the included front panel removal tool, insert the tool into the top side air intake slot and
push towards the back of the unit until the front panel springs free. Repeat process for opposite
side and then pull the whole cover upwards to take to remove it and expose the filter
compartment; see steps 1, 2 &3 below.
9.2.Prefilter removal:
After removing the front cover, turn the swivel tabs located in the 4 corners to release the prefilter;
see illustration ’A’ below.
9.3.HEPA/Carbon filter removal:
After removing the Prefilter grasp the small pull tabs located on the top of the HEPA/Carbon filter
and pull hard towards you. You may have to pull several times to release the filter as it has a
special air-tight seal on the back edges which may provide resistance during removal; see
illustration ‘B’ below.
9.4.Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp removal:
Grasp lamp gently by end caps and rotate the clockwise or anticlockwise until the bulb is loose in
the socket. Pull the bulb straight out towards you. DO NOT twist the bulb or put excessive
force on the glass or end caps as this may cause the bulb to break; see illustration ‘C’ below.

10.Assembly
10.1. Ultraviolet Germicidal Lamp installation:
Grasping lamp gently by end caps, align pins with lamp holder socket and insert pins into socket.
Rotate the clockwise or anticlockwise until the bulb locks into place. DO NOT twist the bulb or
put excessive force on the glass or end caps as this may cause the bulb to break; see illustration
1 below.
10.2. HEPA/Carbon filter installation:
Begin by resting bottom edge of filter inside of unit and then gently push the filter into the housing
until it fully seats; see illustration 2 below.
10.3. Prefilter installation:
Place the prefilter into the housing against the HEPA/Carbon filter. Turn the swivel locking tabs
to secure in place; see illustration 3 below
10.4. Front cover installation:
Place the bottom tabs of the front cover into the slots on the bottom of the housing. Push the
cover inwards and using your thumbs press inwards on the upper outer corners of the cover until
you feel it “pop” into place. Release pressure and cover should be locked in place; see illustration
4 below. If unit does not chime when connect to a power source check to make sure front cover
is fully secured in place.

EMPLACEMENT ADÉQUAT DE L'APPAREIL
Pour une efficacité optimale de l'appareil et de la purification de l'air, nous vous recommandons de poser
l'appareil au sol ou à une hauteur maximum de 20 pouces. Dans les deux cas il est important de s'assurer
que l'appareil est placé sur un sur une surface dure, le protégeant de toute vibration pouvant le faire tomber,
protégeant ainsi l'appareil et ses composants internes de tout dommage matériel et l'utilisateur de risques *de
blessures.
L'appareil peut être placé dans n'importe quelle pièce ou déplacé d'une pièce à l'autre, au gré des besoins,
mais les meilleurs résultats seront obtenus si l'appareil est placé dans la pièce dans laquelle vous passez le
plus de temps dans la journée, comme une chambre à coucher, et réglé en mode automatique, 24 heures par
jour. L'efficacité maximale est obtenue lorsque l'appareil fonctionne en permanence à la vitesse la plus
lente.

2. Étapes des filtres et de la purification
2.1.Préfiltre lavable
Il retient les particules de grande taille telles que la poussière, le pollen, la rouille, les squames et les poils
d'animaux afin de prolonger la durée de vie du filtre HEPA et peut être lavé à la main (rincé) lorsqu'il est
sale.
2.2.Filtre HEPA
Cet appareil dispose d'un filtre polyvalent composé de deux couches : la première constituée d'un filtre
absolu HEPA et la deuxième d’un filtre à charbon actif. Le filtre absolu HEPA retient des particules
minuscules, jusqu'à 0,3 micron, y compris des germes, des bactéries, des virus et d'autres contaminants
transportés par l'air. Le filtre à charbon supprime les odeurs.
2.3.Lampes germicides à rayons ultraviolets
Les lampes germicides à rayons ultraviolets (UV de type 'C') peuvent détruire les bactéries et les virus
résiduels lorsqu'ils traversent leur faisceau.
2.4.Chambre d'oxydation photocatalytique
La chambre d'oxydation photocatalytique décompose les gaz toxiques, les odeurs et les virus transportés

par l'air 300 fois plus efficacement que les filtres à charbon actif. La chambre ne requiert aucun entretien
car elle la capacité de s'auto-nettoyer et elle ne se remplace donc jamais.
2.5.Capteur de gaz et de poussières
Ces capteurs testent continuellement l'air ambiant pour déterminer et montrer graphiquement la qualité
de l'air. En mode Automatique, l'appareil réglera automatiquement la vitesse de son ventilateur en cas
de modifications dans la concentration de gaz et/ou de poussières.
3. Boutons du tableau de commande
3.1.Mise en marche
Le grand bouton circulaire situé à l'extrême droite du tableau de commande permet de mettre en marche
ou d'éteindre l'appareil.
3.2.Vitesse du ventilateur
Le bouton des vitesses permet de choisir la vitesse du purificateur d'air parmi les 4 forces disponibles.
Chaque vitesse est indiquée par un cercle lumineux de couleur différente autour du bouton de
marche/arrêt. Turbo (Turbo) est la vitesse la plus élevée et elle est indiquée par un cercle lumineux
rouge, Forte (Strong) est indiquée par un cercle lumineux orange, Moyenne (Middle) est indiquée par
un cercle lumineux bleu et Silencieuse (Silent) est indiquée par un cercle lumineux vert. Appuyez sur le
bouton de vitesse du ventilateur lorsque l'appareil est en mode Automatique ou en en mode Purification
de l'air pour le faire passer en mode Manuel.
3.3.Purification de l'air (Purify Air)
Ce bouton est utilisé pour allumer ou éteindre le mode Purification de l'air.
3.4.Automatique (Auto)
Ce bouton est utilisé pour activer ou désactiver le mode Automatique.
3.5.Minuterie (Timer)
Ce bouton est utilisé pour programmer le dispositif d'arrêt automatique.

Cet appareil est équipé d'une fonction complète d'affichage à DEL qui montre le statut et la condition de
