Ashly now has the tools for creating and controlling a simple sound system for a ‘convenience’ gas & grocery store. This
application uses the TM-360, a mixer/power amplifier with 60W output. Features include three inputs with input gain control
and signal presence LEDs, priority mute, and an input assignable ‘Zone 2’ output ( W + line level) for extra coverage.
Connected to Input of the TM-360 is a paging microphone with a push-to-talk bar (switch). Background music is connected
to Input 2. The background music will play at the pumps and in the retail area. Pushing the talk bar and speaking into the
microphone will automatically mute the background music (Mix Configuration SW4 ‘ON’). The paging microphone will be
heard at the pumps but is not routed to retail area. Only the background music is routed to Zone 2 (Mix Configuration SW2
‘ON’)."
60W-70V from the TM-360 is connected to the paging horns in the gas pump area. A 400Hz high-pass filter is engaged to
protect the paging horns (Mix Configuration SW7 ‘ON’). The paging horns can be tapped at a maximum of 5W.
The Zone 2 output ( W) is connected in ‘series’ to 8 ohm ceiling speakers in the retail area. Each ceiling speaker will have
approximately /4W available.
To save energy, after 25 minutes with no input, the mixer/power amplifier will automatically go to standby until further audio
signal is applied.
