Thank you for purchasing this high quality Astone product. The Rumba 800 Digital
Music Drive is an excellent example of the style and technology Astone is bringing
to the market. This USB mass storage device is charging in front of the competition
as it is capable of playing and recording high quality sound.
The MP3/WMA player is equipped with comprehensive audio control buttons, an
audio jack and earphones, so you can store data files as well as listen to your
favorite music where ever you are and whatever you are doing.
The Rumba 800 Digital Music Drive fits perfectly in today’s technology and fashion
conscious environment where having the best is only a matter of Astone.
Please read this manual carefully to better understand the operation of this device.

Safe Usage Guidelines
. Keep the product away from damp, protect it from jolts, dust and heat and don’t
expose it to direct sunlight, in order to avoid any operational problems.

Electromagnetic Compatibility
When you use the product, follow the directives on electromagnetic compatibility
(EMV). To avoid the risk of damage and the loss of onboard data, position the
device at least one meter from high frequency and magnetic sources of interference
(TV, stereo loudspeakers, mobile phone, etc.)
Cleaning
Generally, the equipment does not need to be cleaned.

BASIC OPERATION
1. Install the battery
Open the battery compartment cover, install 1 AAA battery(1.5V) according to
the polarity markings inside the battery compartment
A” ” sign will flash on the screen if battery power is low, then replace with a
new one.
Note: Please take out the battery if not use the MP3 player for a long period of
time.
2. Power ON/OFF
Press and hold the button to power on the MP3 player, the blue background
light will turn on. Each time after the key is pressed, the background light will
start up for 3 seconds (default). If no other keys are pressed within 3 seconds,
the background light will automatically go off.
When the MP3 player is Powered on, press and hold the under “STOP ”
status for more than 3 seconds, “Have a nice day~” will show on the screen

and the MP3 player will be powered off.
3. Play/Pause/Stop
1) When the MP3 player is powered on, it will automatically enter the STOP status.
Press the quickly to start playing, a “ ” sign will show at the bottom left
corner of the screen. The current song title, track number, playing time, play
mode will be displayed on the screen.
2) Press the button quickly when the MP3 player is under play “ ” status
to pause playing, a ‘ ” sign will appear, press the button again quickly to
resume playing.
3) Press and hold the button for 2 seconds when playing to stop, a “■” sign
will show at the bottom left corner of the screen.

While the MP3 is playing, with displayed, press the “MENU” button briefly to
select the start point A, an “Aė” appears on the top left corner of the display.
Press the Menu button briefly again to set the end point B, a “AėB” sign shows
on the screen and the content between point A and point B will be repeated
continuously. Press the “MENU” button once more to exit the AėB repeat
mode.
5) Next song/Previous Song
When the MP3 player is under play “ ” status, dial the “MENU” button
rightward or leftward to skip to the next song or previous song.
Dial the “MENU” button rightward or leftward and hold to fast go forward or
backward within the current track, release the button to resume playing.
6) Adjust Volume
Volume can be adjusted under both play “ ” and stop “■” status. Press the
“+” or “- “ button to adjust the volume, the volume indicator will increase or
decrease accordingly on the screen.

VOICE RECORDING
1. Start recording
Press and hold the “Menu” button to enter the main menu, dial the “MENU
” button to select “RECORD” category, press the “MENU” button to start
recording. (See diagram left below)
2. Save a voice file
Press the “MENU” button to stop recording. The voice file recorded will be
saved under the “VOICE” category of the MP3 player as a .WAV file
3. Play a voice file
Press the “MENU” button to return to the main menu, dial the “MENU” button

SETTINGS
1. EQ SET
Press and hold the “Menu” button to enter the main menu, dial the “MENU”
button to select “Settings” category, dial the “MENU” button again to select “EQ
SET”. Press and dial the “MENU” button to select Normal/Rock/Jazz/Classical/
Pop/full bass, Press the “MENU” button to confirm and return to the up one
level category, dial the “MENU” button and select “Exit”.
2. Play Mode Set
Press and hold the “Menu” button to enter the main menu, dial the “MENU”
button to select “Settings” category, dial the “MENU” button again to select “
Play Mode”. Press and dial the “MENU” button to select Normal/Repeat one/
Repeat All/Random/Shuffle All/Intro, the

sign will show accordingly on the screen.
Press the “MENU” button to confirm and return to the up one level category,
dial the “MENU” button and select “Exit”.
Repeat One: the current track will be repeated continuously;
Repeat All: After all tracks are played, the MP3 player will start to play from
the first track again and will never stop unless the power is finished or be
manually stopped.
Random: All the tracks saved in the MP3 player will be played in a random
order, after all tracks are played, the MP3 player will stop.
Shuffle All: All tracks saved in the MP3 player will be played in a random order.
After all tracks are played, the MP3 player will start to play from the first track
again and will never stop unless the power is finished or be manually stopped.
Preview: each track will be played for 10 seconds and skip to the next track
automatically.
3. Power set
Press and hold the “MENU” button to enter the main menu, dial and then press

the “MENU” button to select “Settings” category, dial the “MENU” button again
to select “Power set”. Press and dial the “MENU” button to select Disable/1
Min/2 Min/5 Min/10 Min. Press the “MENU” button to confirm and return to the
up one level category, dial the “MENU” button and select “Exit”.
If there is no operation after the auto power off time customized, the MP3
player will be power off automatically. This function helps to save the battery
power.
ERASE FILES.
Press and hold the “Menu” button to enter the main menu, dial the “MENU”
button to select “Erase Files “ category, press the “MENU” button to enter. Dial
and Press the “MENU” button to select Delete Music/Delete Voice/Delete Exit

1. Delete a music file
Press the “Menu” button to select “Delete Music”, the music track’s name will
show on the screen, dial the “Menu” button to select a track which need to be
erased, press the “Menu” button and 2 options will be displayed on the screen.
Press the “PLAY” button for “YES” or press the “MENU” button for “NO’.
2. Delete a Voice file
Press the “Menu” button to select “Delete Voice”, the voice track’s name will
show on the screen, dial the “Menu” button to select a track which need to be
erased, press the “Menu” button and 2 options will be displayed on the screen.

MEMORY SPACE QUERY
Press and hold the “MENU” button to enter the main menu, dial the “MENU”
button to select “About” category, press the “MENU” button to enter and view
memory space information.
VER: Firmware version
INT: Total built-in memory capacity
FREE: Current free memory space left
FM TUNER
Press and hold the “Menu” button to enter the main menu, dial the “MENU
” button to select “FM tuner” category, press the “MENU” button to enter FM

1. FM receiving:
When a “Radio” sign appears on the SCREEN, the built-in FM tuner is receiving
program from pre-stored radio station: Dial the “Menu” button to scroll through
all pre-stored radio channels.
2. FM scan and Store: Press the “Menu” button to switch to FM scan status, a “
Scan” sign appears on the SCREEN.
1) Automatic scan and Store: Dial and hold the ”Menu” button to start automatic
scanning. Auto scanning will stop when a radio frequency is searched clearly,
then press the “Menu” button to switch to FM store status, a “Store” sign will
appear on the screen. Dial the “Menu” button to select a channel you want to
save the frequency searched and press the button to confirm saving. A“YES”
sign will appear on the screen after successfully stored.
2) Inching scan and Store: Dial the “Menu” button briefly to start the inching scan
